Horses and Ponies showing Dangerous Behaviour!
Often we make excuses for annoying and dangerous behaviour from young horses and ponies . I don’t treat colts or Phillies any different to older horses . I have time and time again shown owners an equine brain is an equine brain young or old . Hope you enjoy this video and get something from it . Things are so much better since I visited 🙂

Racehorse petrified of a measure !!
Переглядів 6 тис.2 місяці тому
This 6 year old ex race horse was part of our Bristol horsemanship demo day . He’s one of the nicest sweetest horses you could meet and also one of the the slowest race horses ever 😃! His best was second from last ! Gotta love him 🥰. Here Steve works with a long standing deep rooted phobia of a measuring stick. This was a big risk to tackle in a live demo but all worked out amazingly well with ...
How Well Can You Read Horses??
Переглядів 9 тис.2 місяці тому
See how well you can read horses . Here is Chevy and Darci playing earlier this morning . One is the Alfa horse ( sorted out in their play during the last week together ) so see if by observing them who it is . I make it clear at the end when feed and water rights come into play.

From a demo 'unedited' video, sound is ok but at times its a little hard to hear.. Big changes shown in this horse which was so much more difficult than was shown on the day. He must have took one look at Steve and thought oops must be a good boy now :D

Major jackpot’s update. Dad posted Indie-Ann’s update earlier in the week and asked me to do one. Well …. Being a month younger and only 3 and a half weeks … we hadn’t done some of the tasks they had shown in their update … but not to be outdone …i think we ticked them off today !! Maybe not as smooth as dad, my timing and release definitely isn’t as good , … but we’re trying our hardest and I’...

Horse wont stand still for its owner! Lets see if I can help!
Переглядів 11 тис.3 місяці тому
Here is a horse that really needs to willingly side up to a mounting block for its owner. He’s quite reluctant and has a habit of moving his hind quarters away . I’m quite persistent and show another way to help him decide to move in the direction that is our idea .
Problem Horse keeps diving for grass! Lets see if we can help him!

A lovely first horse helping visit today in Surrey . This new Forrest pony called Lester needed a little direction on a few things ( longer video to come ) this clip was the start changing his idea on constantly diving for grass ( such a common problem and at times can ruin a ride ) Lester is real smart and caught on real quick 😊
Another foal is here! Major Jackpots first 36 hours of life!

Major jackpot’s first 36 hours. Friday afternoon I just knew that Molly was acting a little different and decided to plait her tail and stay over at mum and dads! And …. While checking the camera, I noticed her acting a little weird, and saw the first signs of labour! Within an hour, Molly had a beautiful little black colt…. But … some of you may not realise that he will actually be white grey ...

Dream horse has become a nightmare
Переглядів 25 тис.4 місяці тому
Here’s a lovely cob mare purchased only 4 months ago by Laura and the dream has become a nightmare . Laura and her friends have tried so hard to get this horse to safely stand to mount . Other issues have slowly started to improve but not the mounting . We always say if your horse won’t stand still for getting on you are steeling a ride . Steve again is short on time but tries hard to set a new...

Stallion has become too much for his owner !

Amazing transformation of a click and treated stallion disaster . This beautiful and rare young stallion has become almost impossible to handle and fast becoming very dangerous . The hardest part of making a change was getting him to yield ( something he was convinced he should never do caused by the constant hand treating ) . Here’s a few highlights with full videos will come

Playing with Steve! Loved the slow mo lead change
Lovely colt … misunderstood …
I ride at Leeds RDA we have a horse called Penny she stamps her foot l want to know what is it please let me know thank you
It takes longer for people to practice and get it right than the horse to understand and get it right. Wonderful horsemanship Steve. Always love to see you working with the horses. You are the "tops" in my book. I wish you lived in the USA.
To leave a young horse alone in a field with no other horses means he can never really relax. It's sad and lonely.
Another exquisite video Steve and Tanya. I feel bad for Paddy though, because he obviously does not want to be left alone. Your instructions were well received, and you did tell them horses are herd animals. I don't know if it's the overcast day or what, but I also felt the place was a bit spooky, and as you noted, Paddy feels that eerie energy too. Your tact with the owners is commendable. Little Paddy, once he was out there with you in the ring was so happy and gleeful! Like he was saying "Finally someone who understands me, whom I can trust!"
It was sweet to watch him play. He's just a baby.
I bought a flag from Steve and Tanya. My three boys (horses) got loose in my barn, and that was one of the things they destroyed. I walked in, and they all looked guilty! I could only laugh because it was my fault they got in. Now I will order a new one. I should hide it from view! 😅
What were you looking for her to do when backing up? Great videos👍
--I'm no horse expert, but from what little I've seen, those "Cobs" are pretty smart and powerful horses.
Paddy is very striking. I can Imagine he’ll look spectacular when the weather improves and he can have a shampoo/bath.
Here in Sweden it’s against the law to have only one horse. They don’t always need to be out together though, if they can see and interact with each other anyway. It can also be ok with another herd animal as a friend.
Good idea! I wonder, do you also have to have more than one dog?
If you’re looking down at their feet with a baseball cap on, they can’t see your eyes, they don’t know where you’re looking
they read hat direction like they were ears.
I agree herd dynamics are needed, to help teach him about nipping etc but he was perfect with Steve
What a precious horse. A great video Steve
Another great video! I don’t know how people can think it is in the horse’s best interest to be kept away for interacting with other horses. They are a herd animal. 🤔
Loved this video! The owners were great listeners! The young horse is so amazing and happy! ❤ Great job, Steve and Tanya ❤
Poor little guy! He needs other horses to play with! I’m disappointed you didn’t say so Steve. One of the five freedoms of animal welfare is freedom to express normal behavior and for a horse that is interacting with other horses. But, otherwise great video as always.
He did say in the first minutes, we have them together because they are herd animals, a little over 19 minutes he says i would put him with another horse.
I was just about to comment on Charlottes new horse video regarding estimating height. Did you know that you can fairly estimate the adult height of a human child by doubling their height at age two? Great video as usual!! Another horse and owner saved! Any plans for a Canada trip?
no wonder he's scared, Steve looks like The Grim Reaper carrying his scythe!
Oh a clever little horse the way she asked after 3 back ups..
What a beautiful horse.
So disappointed with so many ads. They disrupt the flow of such great videos.
which breed is that horse? I've never seen a horse like this before. So beautyful
❤❤❤ wonderful ❤❤❤
Fantastic workmanship in training horses
Steve should own this particular horse as the mare clearly adores him.
Just amazing.❤❤❤ Rolex is cracker of a horse thanks to your training. Just WOW
What a smart girl! She’s a quick study. Steve worked wonders with her, I also think Steve is impressed with her!❤
I just watched this video again. I can't believe that you are getting "hate" mail for your training and their reaction to Warrior's behavior. You have taught us over and over how horses think. By taking the lead you have shown us that all herd animals need to follow. Your training ultimately makes horses feel safe. It works every time! Keep up with the videos.
He is stunning, my absolute dream horse 😍 I love cobs and cobby breeds ☺️ This video is AMAZING thank you Steve, so educational!
Beautiful work Steve and crew 💚☘️🇮🇪
Such a beauty ❤❤
She is such a beauty. Watching this gave me a warm heart and smile. I'll bet when she is finished, she will be a wonderful partner for ground and riding. Great work once again Steve.
So darn precious. Is she one of yours?
Wonderful to watch this riding lesson!. Thank you both Steve and Tanya for all the interesting videos you put out for us to watch and learn.
A gem of a vlog 🙏🙏🙏🇮🇪💚☘️
The pony. He stands his ground and does exactly what you do to take control. He leads and drives and keeps his feet still.
Mr. Darcy is most definitely in charge. He's moving Chevy's feet and driving him. Beautiful rainbow 🌈 in the background 😘❤❤❤🐎🐎🐎
Can't go wrong with those bloodlines
Owner rides with too much bit contact, but Steve tries to teach the release. Were this my mare, I'd send her to Charlotte for 30 days of training and then next 30 days I'd take lessons on her from Charlotte at her place. She'd be platinum then. ❤
Tania works just as hard, sometimes harder, than Steve to bring us these videos. Thank you both ❤ Although is it Charlotte filming today?
Lovely horse! It always amazes me how many lazy horses free up on a looser rein. IMO many riders across the disciplines ride with too much/too heavy bit contact. I know to get roundness/collection you need contact at first, but horses need to develop fitness first before they stay framed for long. Steve's doing a great demo of building up to softening and collecting. Without the release, you always see lugging on bit or stubbing up. I much prefer to help a horse develop self carriage over time.
Darcy!!
She’s the cutest little chunky monkey . Steve you are stellar , your compassion is unmatched, St Francis of Assisi comes to mind ❣️
Steve what a fantastic job you did training Rolex. (As usual 😊)
ROLEX , he's beefy and flashy but they are are gorgeous
Mr. Darcy is in charge..not large but in charge 😊
BEST video ever...AMAZING
It’s Darcey in charge Bossy little bugger
Bless you, Steve, for your patience, love, kindness, guidance, and incredible horsemanship! ❤
