Major jackpot’s update. Dad posted Indie-Ann’s update earlier in the week and asked me to do one. Well …. Being a month younger and only 3 and a half weeks … we hadn’t done some of the tasks they had shown in their update … but not to be outdone …i think we ticked them off today !! Maybe not as smooth as dad, my timing and release definitely isn’t as good , … but we’re trying our hardest and I’...

Horse wont stand still for its owner! Lets see if I can help!

Here is a horse that really needs to willingly side up to a mounting block for its owner. He’s quite reluctant and has a habit of moving his hind quarters away . I’m quite persistent and show another way to help him decide to move in the direction that is our idea .
Problem Horse keeps diving for grass! Lets see if we can help him!

A lovely first horse helping visit today in Surrey . This new Forrest pony called Lester needed a little direction on a few things ( longer video to come ) this clip was the start changing his idea on constantly diving for grass ( such a common problem and at times can ruin a ride ) Lester is real smart and caught on real quick 😊

Major jackpot’s first 36 hours. Friday afternoon I just knew that Molly was acting a little different and decided to plait her tail and stay over at mum and dads! And …. While checking the camera, I noticed her acting a little weird, and saw the first signs of labour! Within an hour, Molly had a beautiful little black colt…. But … some of you may not realise that he will actually be white grey ...

Dream horse has become a nightmare

Here’s a lovely cob mare purchased only 4 months ago by Laura and the dream has become a nightmare . Laura and her friends have tried so hard to get this horse to safely stand to mount . Other issues have slowly started to improve but not the mounting . We always say if your horse won’t stand still for getting on you are steeling a ride . Steve again is short on time but tries hard to set a new...

Stallion has become too much for his owner !

Amazing transformation of a click and treated stallion disaster . This beautiful and rare young stallion has become almost impossible to handle and fast becoming very dangerous . The hardest part of making a change was getting him to yield ( something he was convinced he should never do caused by the constant hand treating ) . Here’s a few highlights with full videos will come

Why is he so dangerous!!??
Переглядів 21 тис.2 місяці тому
So that’s why he’s so dangerous !! When horses show difficult and dangerous behaviour more often than not it is a symptom of a cause. I always try to work out why the unwanted behaviours are showing up on my visits but it’s not always possible to get to the core of them . In this video however I did find the underlying cause being impaired eyesight in the left eye . The resulting behaviour was ...

YOU are checking her eyes and yet she has been taken in by a riding centre - don't they have the knowledge themselves or employ the services of a vet when they first take in a new addition? Some establishment that must be!

When I was in my mid to late teens I was at my aunt and uncles farm and they raised standardbred race horses. Over the years (40 years plus at this point), since then, I have learned from watching horse training videos and your videos as well that they were training their horses wrong which taught me to train them wrong as well. I didn't have a problem with the foals as they grew older but they weren't trained right imho. The one trainer they had on the farm was an imbecile, to say the least. While they loved their horses they weren't taught properly themselves how to work with them. I still find I have a pang of sadness that they didn't train as one should, especially as to what they were telling me was 'normal' to train them. Nothing brutal but they were very 'just do it' with them. I know it's not my fault however it still bothers me from time to time.

Could just be nature, wild...my american dingo was thought of as abused, but as found her near a gameland, she was just feral. Its like being in your world,,doing active deep communion with animals, & habitat like trees or grass wind sun weather & then have a business cherub touch you to be their channel of expression. What's deep moment to rider as people say horses r healing, is not same moment for animal in same space on same land. Kinda wonder how much human will suck out artistry in animal just by patting. This I learned by my dingo...who could be loved just not looked down by regular pet with (By shared inherited human talent...I know how u feel doggo cause your brain is easy to get. ....cause thats how it goes with human majority with independent animals. Most wildlife arent labrador retrievers ...& most people dont select breeds that asks you for empathy to be good toward sinful lifestyle so could commune to do soul work done by those level headed judges in wildlife & plants). Animal human partnership is called serious animal attitude by a person and human responsible has to whisper. Seen lots burn into flames being cruel just by looking from distance to my wild dog ,and saying will shoot her if gets off leash (as she did maybe twice by accident) on same walk to forest trail we did over tens yrs same way on cul d sac with same neighbor. The breed historically raised by native americans...and ponies part of Ice Age landscape. Very wild. I live in US state that has one of worlds largest military bases Ft Liberty about three hrs away. My state was settled 1750s & contributed most victims to their 1860s Civil War and had cursed tobacco farming to condone slavery. So killing communication with animal handling part war culture part land work...genetic pool. So to me, regular prince & princesses... u get judged by modernity education that raised you...most killers to souls with other regional jobs all by stupidity...promise -future work in paradise aint about stupid leadership toward nature to display authority

Thank you as always Steve for demonstrating how to help the nervous ponies and horses of the world. Beautiful pony who you can see becoming more trusting. I have a Section A who has not had the best start in her young years. When she first came to me you couldn't go in the stable at all let alone take a headcollar and rope. Since watching your videos and coming to one of your demos, she is getting better and better, so much so I was able to take her to her first in hand show. She coped so well and with the judge. She came 3rd. 😊

I’ve been watching your videos for about 7 months since discovering you by accident on UA-cam, and I am so amazed by all the problems you fix using your simple go to methods. You have helped me help my horse and probably saved me thousands of dollars in training costs. I tell anyone who will listen (my horse friends) to watch you. Their loss if they don’t. I was pleasantly surprised, even though I shouldn’t have been surprised, to see this little pony trotting down the road under saddle with a rider. Amazing!!! Thank you for sharing this and for helping this pony.

Loved the update. Had an almost identically conformed pony once, but about 14hh. He was half welsh pony, half welsh cob. He too was a spooky wee thing on arrival. 2 other owners had never managed to break him in and he was very confused from mixed messages from humans. Got to love chunky ponies. Thanks for doing the voice over, it was helpful.

She looks POA, Pony of the Americas. The have a lot of Quarter Horse and Appaloosa in hem. Originally Shetland and Welsh were crossed with Appaloosa. Now, both parents have to be registeted, one of them being POA. Hackneyed and gaited breeds are not allowed.

What a lovely pony. Love that bum. If she was a gelding I’d be checking she wasn’t a rig. She shakes her head a lot. I wonder if she’s been hit around the ears. Maybe she could have got an infection in the past and the head shake was a habit. Well done Steve. Not the easiest of conditions.
