Anyone know the name of the song playing when sora wakes up?
Xehanort really said fuck it
We didn’t deserve Donald and Goofy.
I know many people have issues with this, and I kinda get it. Personally though, I love this cutscene, especially this sort of verbal clash of ideologies between Sora and Xehanort. It's actually a pretty productive debate, since neither side outright disagrees with each other's point. Let me explain. So after Xehanort explains his plan, Sora pretty much starts the debate with "it wasn't your decision to make". He doesn't express much disagreement with the decision, just that the decision was made by the wrong person. Rather than disagreeing, saying something like "yes it is", "I was destined to do this", or something like that, Xehanort asks "then whose was it?" to which Sora had no response to. So Xehanort continues and tells what he felt the world needed, someone to stand up and lead and stop the weak from polluting the world with darkness. Sora, once again, not really expressing straight-up disagreement, responds with "if so, you're not that person." And he explains his view of how a leader should be, to which Xehanort has nothing left to challenge Sora with, and instead smiles and compliments him in a way, saying he reminds him of an old friend. And then once Eraqus gets Xehanort to think back to the first time Eraqus beat him in chess, Xehanort approaches Sora and presents the X-Blade, congratulating him with "very well done." I love that moment. To me, Xehanort still sticks to his ideology, but he listened to Sora's and understood them. So with that, and the fact that Sora did beat him in a fight (with help, of course), Xehanort now feels that Sora should be the one to make the decision. Plus, you know, he admits defeat for the first time since he lost to Eraqus in chess. So yeah, I just love this cutscene. Every now and then, I come back to this cutscene, whether it be finding it on UA-cam, or playing it myself.

Eat Trinity Limit you bad bald b*tch.
Thanks man
What for brother?
@@CShadow-ov1fc i wasn't able to track the way to progress so yeh i lost my way countless times lol my game lagged or something I dunno but it wouldn't track the progress like show me the navigation or stuff You were a great help man
@@broken_doll_108 Happy I was able to help
Imagine Xehanort: very well done…. Master Sora.
The inspiration of GOAT picture when he play Chess😊
Eraqus Making Peace with His 3 Students hit really hard
And then Sora commits suicide to resurrects Kairi
And in this moment, Sora receives the blessings of all three of the old guard. Eraqus, Yen Sid...And Xehanort. He has truly become a keyblade master.
5:14 I love this line.
In the Japanese version xehanort tells sora that balancing light and dark is impossible so he decided to destroy all worlds
“Forgive your foolish teacher.” 😢 he was so ashamed and just wanted forgiveness. “Ready my friend?” “Yes.” What of those most heartwarming moments in the franchise.
“A real leader knows that destiny is beyond his control and accepts that.” -Sora

The animation on Xehanort when he says "Yes" always amazes me. The way they depict the emotion on his face is so realistic. The emotion of a man finally accepting he lost and he can't change destiny. Let's all of the burden go, the weight of trying to be the hero but justifying the bad along the way. The "Yes" isn't just him being ready to die, but him being ready to leave the fate of the world in new hands. Xehanort was not a hero, nor was he evil. He had good intentions but a flawed perspective and so he became the villain. Not through anything bad, but his unwillingness to lose resulted in him doing anything to "fix" the world as he seen it. He didn't want to lose to darkness but inadvertently almost caused it. It's the classic Idea that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
xeanorth was not redeemed but he simply accepted his defeat he is one of the best villains in all of videgames
Sora still not a master?
This scene hits so much harder after dark road 😢
Can't believe I've shed tears for Xehanort of all people!
I really like the trope of Protagonist being knighted by their defeated foe
What's the song that starts at 1:30?
What actually happened: Xehanort claims he was trying to perfect the world by becoming strong enough to control literally everything, Sora countering that a real leader would accept his own limits. Eraqus appears through Terra and reminds Xehanort of that one bright moment long ago, when Xehanort had admitted Eraqus was a better candidate for the World's defender and regardless promised to keep up by his side; the light that cast all the shadows that defined the villain we know. Bereft of all power and plans, Xehanort is finally able to reach this light again and do what he had only ever done that one time; admit defeat. Now dying with no living person to mourn him, the man Xehanort became faded into the nothing he amounted to; all left of him was that boyhood self of his, his distant bright past getting one last hurrah before his life as Xehanort ends. What too many people thought happened: Xehanort was secretly a good guy all along, all the heroes forgive him since nobody river danced on his corpse, and he went into some never-established paradise to kick back and sip martinis for the rest of eternity.
❤
So after several years of betrayal, genocide and attempted child slaughter just for the lulz, he gets to go to heaven peacefully with his Best Friend as if he was their ally all along. God damn this resolution was hollow
Hits so much different after dark road though. Watching all your friends die due to darkness which can be hidden anywhere makes you not give 1 fuck. His goal was set and he did whatever he could do to fix it. He believed he was the chosen one and anyone who opposed him was true darkness.
This ending sucks. Try to change my mind without sounding like a massive fanboy who's fine with characters doing total 180s. This makes about as much sense as it'd make if Thanos handed over the Infinity Gauntlet to Iron Man because Gamora told him too. Total bullshit.
except Xhanort still died at the end? and he handed it over after realizing there was no point in fighting because he wouldn’t live long enough to fulfill his goal anyway.
Terra: ( Gets denied the Master title ) Xehanort: ( Decided to make him a Master ) Sora: ( Gets denied the Master title ) Xehanort: ( Bestows him the most powerful weapon that could possibly destroy a Universe ) 😅
Final battle: Player vs Future player And now that I think about this, since Xehanort "bequeathed" sora with the X-Blade, Sora now is an Official Keyblade wielder and not one by necessity anymore
Xehanort: I am actually a misguided good guy. Me: Who will bel-. Everyone: *Ok, I believe you*
Honestly. After what he did to Kairi, and all the BS he put everyone through. I was kinda disappointed we didn't get a God Of War style 'Beat him til the screen goes red.' finish.
The power of love and friendship! That's how!!
9:50
ahhh. i get it now... why he did what he did... its because he lost all his hair and his freind still has his
I know not everyone liked this end for xehanort but it was very fitting in my opinion. A man doing terrible things in the pursuit of lofty goals. Ultimately having to come to terms with his own limits and let go. It’s a much better end than just “bad guy is bad and dies”. No matter what people think he’s not redeemed, he concedes defeat and in return finally finds a modicum of peace from a troubled life.
the problem with Xehanort character in KH3 is that line about creating a new world that is "pure and bright" and how the "the light was devoured by shadow" when his whole character's speech in BBS is that people were too obsessed with light and treated darkness as a bad thing, when in reality the world needs a equal balance of both to work, and how that obsession with light would break that balance in the universe and fuck everything up so why suddenly would he want to create a world of pure light if that would break the balance and fuck everything ?
@@Akr-um6wb while it is a slight retcon I think it still works out fine because logically it still works out. Xehanort uses darkness as a tool because it’s an immutable part of life in the current world and so trying to avoid it at all costs would be foolish. However he’s also researched enough to know that darkness invaded the realm of light and so was never supposed to be there. So his solution was to use the powers he had, light and dark, in equal measure until he could finally achieve his goal and reset the world to the way it was supposed to be with the realms of light and darkness completely separated. At least that’s how I see it, I certainly don’t fault people who disagree or don’t think it’s a good enough explanation.
@@Akr-um6wb the point of this game is to know that no matter how dark a heart gets, even after death your heart have to come to ammends with your old self to be anew
@@Akr-um6wb because it's a mistranslation. What he ACTUALLY says is "Pure and blank" He wants to recreate the world anew without the hearts of people that become corrupted by darkness or light disrupting the balance. It's just a localization error.
Your opinion is garbage
So...Yen Sid...do you think Sora is worthy to be a Keyblade Master now~?
Having the keyblade inheritance ceremony performed on you with the x-blade is very impressive. Screw being a master at that point.
Terra: Master Eraqus, am I a Keyblade Master now? Eraqus: Terra no pass.
Eraqus: (vanishing) you suck....
Beat Xehanort and put an end to the convoluted shitshow of a story called Kingdom Hearts...oh wait Sora dies and there are still more questions than answers, subplots, and characters that need explaining.
Eraqus: stop being evil Xehanort: but… Eraqus: Bro Xehanort: fine
Xehanort: Okay I believe you!
Literally one of the beat ending in the kingdom hearts series i wasnt expecting half of this event in game bravo! 👏 The ending was like watching two gods play a game of chess and explaining to eachother their philosophy.
I just wanted cool reaction commands to come up again, I wasn’t a fan of the same animations repeated 100 of times….
Am I the only one who thinks this is a problem? He was a good guy all along? Did no one else play birth by sleep. This just gives more credence to the theory the KH story is made up as they go along without a real plan.
Xehanort: *Literally stabs Kairi through the heart 5 minutes ago* Also Xehanort: I’m not evil…
Donald and goofy talking through my controller was amazing
I don't know if it's fair to put important information on the secret reports (he was *always* a misguided good guy since BBS), but I am saying I'm surprised how many haven't read them.
All I'm gonna say is, why can't we have the X-blade as an unlock able weapon after defeating the story
Because it would completely kill any difficulty that the dlc bosses would pose for the player.
@@acejumper1681but still, surely we deserve the x-blade for everything we have done and so many games we played
Xehanort: “I’m actually a misguided good guy.” Sora: “WHO COULD EVER BELIEVE-“ Everyone: *O K A Y I B E L I E V E YOU* Sora: But fr through after xehanort killed Kairi, flooded all the worlds with heartless and darkness causing collapse and mass death or mass heartless-ification, possessed Terra, gave Aqua probably permanent ptsd and caused her to become trapped in a realm or eternal darkness for 12 years, mentally abused Ventus and caused him to be in a coma for like 12 years or something, caused several people who used to work with him (in amnesiac terranort form) as humans to become nobodies and part of the organisation (I’m not sure what the actual plot is or how they become nobodies but I’m sure he’s somehow responsible, even if not directly), manipulated time itself to his ends, he then gets to go to keyblade heaven or whatever and was just misguided all along 😂😂 He’s also indirectly responsible for the death of Eraqus, Sora, and so much stress and peril for people of the worlds, and probably caused the most stress of all to Sora (though tbh Aqua really had it rough maybe it goes to her) who just wanted to build a raft and have dinner I mean come on his mum has been waiting all this time..! Poor boy just wanted have fun and the his world collapsed and all of the events of the games happen (and oh boy does Sora have it rough!) because Xehanort’s heartless is busy grooming Riku
Incredible as it seems, everything he/us did (that khux ending still does not fix my brain, thanks nomura!) Was necessary to save the world. Be the evil villain, make someone oppose you, that someone beats you and you give him the X-Blade.
“Then who’s was it?” “I don’t know man , It just wasn’t yours to make” Imagine if Sora actually said that
Can we talk about how stiff and unengaging this is? The long scenes without any music (and even when it is there, it doesn't feel like a special tone for the finale, just another scene). The almost inhuman voice acting is so slow and distant. No one here talks like a real person. With hardly any meaningful arguments, Xehanort just gives up and is like a good guy again? This is how most of the game is. It's fine... it just isn't the least bit climatic because of the writing and direction.
I wish I understood the story of kingdom hearts. I spent like 80 hours on the first one but I have no clue what's actually going on.
It’s probably better for your sanity that way. Kingdom Hearts lore makes Metal Gear Solid look like a Dr. Seuss book.
“Uh!” “Huh uh.” “……huh….” This exchange always gets me 😢
A+ script writing
Erokis: Tera look after them for me Me: did you cause most of this and tried to kill Tera?
