Why not a Chevy nv4500 transmission? I have a 55 6500 on a 3500 HD OBS frame. It currently has a LS swap with that transmission. But I just came into a ve pump 6bt Cummins, that I would like to swap. I found the adapter plate from QuickDraw brand for the Chevy 4500. What do you think. Do you know if I have to cut the firewall?
