It's good to learn an experience of a driver of the premium trim. My Mg4 long range is still good but almost every single aspect is bad. inside materials are low quality, no cameras, audio is worse that playing of my phone, no side cameras, head unit is laggy. And more and more. Thank god economy is not too bad and charging speeds are good too. Auto high beam works perfectly though.

How many hp has the car got,i wish they would have one in-between the entry level and x power,is alloys or wheel trims?👍

these cars have major flaws and are dangerous, cheap chinese rubbish.

Test drove one recently the Trophy version and was like wow. Its the dealers car he has had for 1 year with 11k miles & its for sale £19k. Used ev prices will drop in my opinion as loads where registered in Sept 24 to avoid the £15k UK govt fine so we should see some bargains in 2025. Net zero is somethign we shoudl aim for , but not at the price of destroying our economy in the process.

I’ve got on with it and I have one. I’m pleased with the car apart from the poor programming decisions made with the way the software works. A panic breaking works as it has done this at least 4 times when it gets confused as refuses to believe that I’m in control and locks the breaks.

Ever since they blew up those batteries in the pagers in Palestine, I've been contemplating about what could possibly happen in 5 years if we happen to go to war with China... I'm probably crazy but down here in Australia the Chinese are literally giving away their electric cars. They dropped the price on the MG4 by 13 thousand dollars overnight. The Chinese are literally losing money on each car they sell. They're so keen to get an electric car in our driveways they'll lose money to do it, probably because they love us .

There is an emergency pull cord in the boot for this problem.

Hi I'm considering getting the trophy start of next yr mainly motorway driving ,how is the noise inside the cab ,I usually sit at 70 mph for a 30 mile round trip , I'm 50/50 with 1 yr old trophy or 3 yr old Skoda enyac, enjoy your videos

Thanks for posting an enjoyable review, looking at one of these for my wife…now all I can think off is my kids sat in the dark and hot chocolate spilled everywhere 😂 all in all through it does seem like a nice little car.

Unfortunately the negative things you mention like the cup holders/ no rear interior lightsl/ cable stowage would annoy me as these are the things you have to live with day in day out,the last car i owned with just one front interior light was an 80's vauxhal.So when you start delving into what initially seems a great product this is what you find that some design elements are way being european standards today.Also insurance comp/ repairers have been in the news saying that technical back up especially body repair methods etc are not up to thatcham standards therefore causing long repair delays.As there are now many more chinese ev makes coming to uk this could become a major issue unless these Chinese vehicle makers get up to speed with crucial support areas.

This car is not a patch on the Cupra Born. Lane assist on the MG...keep well clear!

Sounds like you have a faulty light sensor there, considering headlights are always on and high beam assist doesn't work.

I got a boss carlink from Ali express for my civic for wireless CarPlay might work for you

Looks like your in eco mode, limited heater and reduced power , a proper evaluation would be in normal mode using the controls as you would in a ic engine. Who wants to drive cold just to gain more mileage. (Or hot, as aircon uses a lot of power). Network charging has become very expensive. All part of the con I think. And all evs having to pay road tax next year. Again all part of the con! Thanks to the great British government. 🙈

Indeed, LKA always being enabled, but later software (R59) allows one touch switch off on the vehicle menu shortcuts dropdown menu.

My 2020 Merc high beams blind police cars, again due to the reflective stickers. Been given a quick blast of the blues a few times. So I guess this is a problem for auto high beams generally

Maybe if you presented your charging card to the actual chargers NFC-reader it would have worked. It failed because you tried it on the VISA/MASTERCARD-addon they have on the reader. Right to the right of it you can see the area to touch for NFC Charge-cards

I love the one pedal mode. BUT … It's tedious to have to enable it every time I get into the car... Please MG, make a software update!!! I agree that the lane assist is too intrusive.... I tend to switch it off...

apparently the ac is 5 degree c below what it should be so adjust as necessary as for autolights on you need to drill 8mm hole above dash sensor.

I was thinking about buying an MG 4 SE as I don’t need all but one of the extras on the Trophy. Can’t believe the SE hasn’t got Sat Nav, bit of a deal breaker. So might have to go for the Trophy but what do people think about the NMC battery, aren’t the LFP batteries on the SE supposed to be better.

These are down to 16k already on autotrader. Tempted to get one if they drop under 10k

yep it is more than big enough for most people and took two large loads to the tip with no issue.

HGV'S are limited to 56mph, so 60mph should be the minimum to stop them having to pull out.Remember even at 60mph your speedo could be inaccurate. Plus don't sit next to a HGV, pass the asap to avoid side swiping.

Why is there no on off switch irritating as radio still blasting when you open door to have to turn it off with key remote 🤦‍♂️

Driving one for work, hard to control heating etc on the move and other features can’t connect phone, lane assist dangerous no easy way to turn off, quick though and looks cool cheap
