Fool Proof Drummer Monitors (Rolls PM55P Personal Monitor Amp/Limiter)
At some point, your drummer will loose his battery operated monitor signal. I have decided to take my drummer off batteries forever. The Rolls PM55P is the best product I've found for the sheer amount of features and money. The PM55P features an XLR mic in, a pass-through, and monitor and headphone inputs. You also have the optional limiter to get your signal sitting right where you want it. Most importantly... the PM55P features an included power supply ensuring that your drummer will never loose the click or signal again. Of course, this unit is a favorite of drummers, vocalists, and keyboardists, but it’s also a great line tester in diagnosing audio system problems. You'll only make the mistake of falling apart live once to make the change... trust me...

The Waves LV1 Console (Complete System Breakdown)
this is what you call a small venue? 😄 we have to pack full metal bandS with drums, amps, wedges and everything on a stage which is 1/4 of yours.. please what would you do to dampen the drums when you can not change the snare / cymbals (every band has it`s own - 4 to 5 bands a night) can`t play with brushes (becuse of the genre) can`t get rid of the amps (because of the guitarists) can`t get rid of wedges (some don`t like EIM) cant build the drum box (because of the space) drums are not miked at all, stage is some 19x16x8 ft
Play softer….🤣
Hey guys. Okay I’m looking for a keyboard that’s for home, good pads and piano but also serves as an instrument for my son’s lessons. My son also loves messing with synths and being creative, recording etc…I was looking at the dgx670 or ck88 or something like that with built in speakers but then saw this. I know they make a weighted modx but any thoughts on weighted or not? I also realize it’s all preference but I do like the footprint of a 61 or 73. Thanks
@@mattdolan3663 Sweetwater is in no way sponsoring any of my content… but I do trust those guys to give me good info… I would ask them this question and see what they suggest…🤷🏻♂️
i think you compressed the se7 too much dude. Otherwise it's a damn close tie between the se7 and the akg in my opinion. Do you think maybe you could have taken back a little compression with that se7 so it could breathe a little better ?
@@coffeehigh420 perhaps… but compression comes down to taste… for me it’s definitely the se7 and akg ALL DAY LONG
nice music man
Turning the pitch correction off does not completely eliminate the effect. It’s barely perceptible in the off position, but it is still there.
I use this pedal and it works fantastic. You have to actually be able to sing if you’re going to use the pitch algorithm. If you suck, it won’t help at all.
It is a very nice vocal pedal
I may sell my Boss VE-20 and get this.
The Boss pedal sounds really robotic on harmonies.
Do you know if it sends phantom power to a mic that needs it or to a Cloudlifter?
@@CatharticGuitar it does not provide phantom
@@MarcLewis2023 thanks.
Great demo. I’ve used this pedal before and it’s a great piece of gear. Liked and subbed!
I can't imagine Owl City sounding good on anything to be fair.
Yup powered monitor is better than any desktop speaker.
It doesn't make a keen difference. It's minimal but you do want to retain enough natural bass response rather than bass in a simulated form.
Great video loved the performance
i like the sound
I agree with a lot of your conclusions when you consider vinyl playback on an entry level system. If you were to go to the next level with your TT, cartridge and phono amp, vinyl starts to pull away from CDs. The farther you move up, the greater the benefit you hear in vinyl playback. Digital also improves markedly as you move up the ladder, but you need a very expensive DAC to match even moderately good vinyl playback. But yes, it’s inconvenient.
Thank you
Ambient music usually served best on Korg. But thats usually due to the pads. Today you might as well just use a controller and a Laptop full of textures VSTs. IMO. Its that good and you dont limit to onboard samples. I do miss my Moxf6 and my first keyboard in 90, Sy77. Oh boy it was massive.
Thank you
It’s a shame TC Helicon is pretty much done. They had some great stuff that always seemed one update away from being perfect. The pitch correction, for example, is pretty good most of the time but then glitches on some intervals and mic plosives. And I wish the doubling effect on my Duplicator could be made “tighter” so it was less obvious and gimmicky. I like that Slap echo on your Mic Mechanic.
I never use pre recorded backing tracks because its karaoke in fancy dress... Audiences like to hear good organic music that is played and sang by the artist in the moment of their live performances..
Great vid, but i was wondering im using a shure sm58 with a wireless system (no native) but could this pedal would work in this scenario? Or is it necessary use a cord that goes to the micro anyways?
@@alexanderocampo8630 I use a 58 wireless system with this pedal as well… I have a special made cable loom that brings the signal to my pedal board and sends it back to the back of stage for patch..
I totally disagree with you about CD’s sounding better because to my ears nothing sounds as good as vinyl. I know on some of the really cheap turntables you can’t tell the difference but if you have an average turntable and quality speakers there is nothing that sounds as good as vinyl. I purchased a set of JBL speakers and my Denon DR395 tuner used for $650.00 and a AudioTechnica LP120 for about $240.00 upgraded the needle. I get a beautiful sound that I like out of this system. I play the CD’s Through the same system with a Autel CD player. A different sound from each and I prefer vinyl. If you can’t hear the difference I understand because my wife can’t hear the difference either. She also has hearing issues.
I am 68 years old and I started playing vinyl at ten years old so I been doing it for a long time. I like playing it for the pure enjoyment of the my music the way I like to listen to music. I have vintage JBL speakers and a Denon DR 395 tuner with a audiotechnia turn table. Just an old cheap system that plays music nothing special. But it plays music the way I like to hear it. I am not a collector of vinyl, I am a player of vinyl. I am not looking for the perfect fancy system. Vinyl is my preferred way to listen to music however I have a few CD’s I play through the same tuner and speakers which sound great also. If I decide a record I want is to high of a price I by a cd. I also have around two thousand ITunes purchased and I stream on Spotify. Most days I play some vinyl or cd’s , when I am busy and running around I stream. It’s all good. Cheers
I search for vinyl records that are my favorite albums of all-time. That would be it. I have thousands of albums on CD. It could end up being a lot of albums before I die!
To put it simple most original vinyl pressings from the 60s 70s even the early 80s sound better ,,most CDs released 85-95 sound better played on a decent player , i use bose wave ,,,it was the loudness wars and over compressing 98 -2009 that killed the CD and had fans of phyisical media getting into vinyl again
Don’t need an electronic kit if you can practice control and finesse. Study the chops of great jazz drummers instead of “arena rock” style.
Plz gain a following with your optimistic mindset, we need this in media.
Hello. I have a condenser microphone powered by my analog console at 48v Who powers my microphone if I buy this product? My mixer or the pedal ? Because the effect runs with 24v.....Thank you for your response. Sincerely
@@mamonejeanpierre4398 you would have to purchase a power device to put in the signal between the mic and pedal… I would assume something like this www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/P1Pwr--xvive-audio-p1-portable-phantom-power-supply
@@MarcLewis2023 thanks for your response. I have the MACKIE M48 power devise. But I don't use it because my mixer have a 48v. Is this the right product too ?

Thank youu! No one talks about Pads on these Keyboard reviews 😮💨😭
I know!!!! Drove me crazy when i was in the market… that’s why i made this video😂
Neither format has a set dynamic range. It's all in the recording. Dynamic range is the difference (in dbs) the softest and loudest passage on the disc or vinyl. Some vinyl can have a much higher dynamic range than a lot of cds do. Some of the horrible cd releases have a dynamic range of 6 dbs. It's all in the production. Both formats are capable of GREAT sound, it's up to the label and the recording quality.
I'd love to hear some of the other settings in the pedal. Some silly, different settings. See what it sounds like. Some other time I will keep checking back. Keep up the good work
@@Steven-u5w from the mic mechanic? Or the xt?
Good job, my man! You’ve got this thing dialed. Great singing too! I’ve gotta have one. 👍
I just don't get it. I really don't care which media I listen to, vinyl has got expensive compared to CDs. That's not counting that you've got to buy something to play it on. Now, which one do you think I buy?
Great video. What are you using to store your CD's. That cabinet is looks great....just wondering what it is. Thanks.
Love the review, just turn the music way down next time. Sorry to be that guy, it was really annoying trying to pay attention.
Hi Marc. Sounds awesome. Can you explain your full setup, please? I'm curious about what flow/chain produces this kind of sound.

Depends how good your DAC is or how good your vinyl rig is or how well the album was recorded mixed and mastered etc. My rule is if the music was recorded mixed and mastered digitally i buy the CD and play it back digitally If it was all analog i buy a vinyl copy and play it on an analog setup. All i can tell you is my best sounding Vinyl records sound better than my best sounding CDs and both my setups cost about the same.
@@crazyprayingmantis5596 curious what your vinyl setup consist of? I wanna update in the future…
I grew up with records. They weren't called vinyl. I was so pleased when CDs were invented. So much more clarity and silence is silence not crackle. I sometimes still listen to my old records though for nostalgia sake.
