Did thiss not work on force 10 and/or kung fu???
Degsy my buoy it’s gabbo I taught u how to knock back the 2p machines
I get the impression this bloke's full of more shit than me and makes stuff up as he goes along!
I know Ian Beales chippy in eastenders had a showtime spectacular for a while. I'm watching classic eastenders at the moment, we're at 2007 so will try and figure out what the vic has.
How do you play this online ???
When you get Feature Trigger, you need to be on a 7/1 to get Super Cash Duel.
Get some coins to play Skys The Limit
Didn’t have a clue about these but knew there was something as they were usually dead every time I played except for the odd occasion when couple quid In it rolled jackpot in. Had the odd repeat from that but that was it. Really just stayed away from them. Now I know why.lol
They wouldn't be dead after playing this way, as the £15.20 win is completely free. Even if it rolls the jackpot in and repeats to £45, it would still have another 3 or 4 jackpots in it, before it truly died.
Did you not have a refill key at the time?
Just a quick little point about most people thinking that when pie factory and other vivids blocked at £2 it meant they were dead and not worth doing isn't necessarily so. I made quite a bit on 'dead' machines that players left as they didn't know the true tell. What a lot of people didn't realise that they could be blocking at £2 but still be OK to play as there was one other crucial tell to see if it was done or not. The biggest tell was the regularity of boards. If it was giving regular wins, letting em spin etc and not going past £2 it was fine to play as it just meant someone had a win out of it that had killed it a little bit but it would come back in a few quid. If however it was taking £4/£5 between wins and not giving regular wins and blocking at £2 it was professionally done.
Six shooters flashed ' cash cash cash' in attract mode if chipped and the Pie Factory and Giant gems the display stayed blank when you got a board it was good. If a cash amount briefly flashed up on the display when you got a board ( say £1.20 would flash on the screen) then it was chipped
Wish I’d known that back in the day. I’d be interested to know what the golden games emptier was. Never did find out.
After Emptying it. Didn't you have a refill key to just put money back in it. That's what I did 😂
Got you're title wrong by £16 upgrade lol
“Don’t know what I’m doing there really” 😅😅😅
When you let em spin after a nudge the number on the left hi lo reel transfers to the right reel. If you hold the pair after a nudge the hi lo numbers are random.
loved this one, they were quite sparse but had one in a Harrogate arcade that seemed to be always full!. Don't worry if the JP rolls in, it will have a shit ton of value in if its doing that.
Hi Degsy, I'm sure i have seen Jus W play and show this before on a real machine.
Pretty sure it was a JPM not ACE though, interesting as you would think different companies would have different code bases.
@@chrisablett6690 JPM took over ACE so they were then essentaly the same company.
@ Thanks, that explains it, do you know what happened to JPM, don’t remember much from them after the Rollercoaster era.
Was Force 10 not the same machine?
@@chrisablett6690taken over by Sega, still produce fruit machines till recently. There's a digital casio crazy and a good few games after that. Al Murry games are jpm.
I am sure the Ace was incorporated into a business by some ex JPM employees. Believe they were based in Cardiff.
Yes Jpm we’re based in Cardiff

Hit 21 for Chart breaker is what you waited for on attract mode whilst emptying Projects Chartbreaker machine, a clone of Bullseye which had been partially chipped so you couldn’t do them, Chartbreaker never was chipped.
I find this super interesting. One comment re: your statement that with the emulator and ROMs it's "not possible to reverse engineer the games". Yes it is, that's literally what reverse engineering is; in fact, you really would just need the ROMs. It's just very difficult and extremely tedious & time consuming, and often times not worth the payoff. In this situation, it's probably not worth it just to confirm that the machines have a payout tell in attract mode. Since you seem to be an expert in these machines & know how to get them into the states where they have a high & low chance at paying out, and have the emulator that you've captured video for here... the easiest thing to do would be to get the emulated machine into each state, video capture the attract mode, and then compare them, maybe frame-by-frame, to see what's different. Probably take a weekend? This reminded me of a similar example re: a story of something hidden in an old machine's code but not found: the famous arcade video game (in the US at least), NBA Jam. The head programmer & project lead was a fan of 1 specific team and not their main rivals, who were the best & most popular team at the time (Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls), so he put some secret code in there that made the Bulls miss all their shots at the end of games against his fav team. Even after he revealed this, nobody's ever found the code in the game, b/c nobody has fully reverse engineered the game, b/c it's just too time consuming & not worth the effort. I was also interested / saddened by a statement you made that the guy who developed the emulator apparently passed away, but never open sourced it; so it apparently died with him? Did I understand that correctly? That's both sad and disappointing if true. :( I don't know anything about these machines but I'm really interested. I tried to find some info but it was rather scarce, which makes it all the more interesting that someone created such a nice emulator. It also wasn't obvious to me about how to get the correct emulators and get started. I guess I'll join the forums at some point. Some searching indicated that these machines all run on a 68k processor, like 1980s Macs and a ton of game consoles & arcade games (Sega's Genesis/Megadrive), and it was used in tons of embedded systems. I've had some experience w/ that kind of assembly, so it might be a fun thing to get into.
Can you do it on £5 pounders?
All of today’s companies are bent, Bell Fruit still going under Inspired. They still have dodgy stuff going on now
The whole market and every awp manufacturer had purposely programmed in 'flaws'. BWB Big Match £8 JP make sure you get £4 repeater with no credits, then as long as you put two 10p in for repeat chance then collect the £4 when it repeats, it would repeat approx 7-10 times. Easy way to drain the units' %, not accidental.
Fruit machines absolutely worked at they were supposed to. That being for the manufacturers and other assorted gangsters to make loads of money. They aren't made for the casual players!!
No that aint true i been playing since 3 pound jackpot proffesionally no programmer leave tgat in from display otherwise u would sit tgere and analuze the bulbs and display if u see tgey all are same stop flashing then starts uo from pituclar bulb first come on degsy emsil me
I remember watching these lads on a global machine. They had a rucksack with them that was clanging with coins, being me I interrogated the method out of them, win 80p, as it clocked up, switch off, switch on, resume play until end, press collect, dump hoppers. The reason I bring it up here is that I don't think I've seen this covered anywhere.
That’s Spotted Dick/Jiggin in the Riggin
You could do a similar thing on ratrace
Plugging . Yes Spotted Dicks back in the day
Bfm Eliminator had the dond box light in attract lol
Attract mode had a few things in it. It's difficult to remember everything i knew 35 years ago, even last week's a struggle, lol. But im pretty sure you could. line up. when you inserted your coins in certain machines during attract mode.
I notice when actors, or in most cases, extras in tv shows are playing machines, they are usually always in attract mode, or the machine is sitting in default test modes rather than actually playing it 😅
My mate had 10 jackpots off this the other day same day he give it a proper dry one one word “skillZ” 😂
Cant be ruled out that it was somthing to do with the reel set up?
I will give you an empty on attract mode red hot poker anyone remember emptying these little beauties. Now not attract mode emptiers but 3 I can name which no one would ever work out unless told was cancel button on donkey Kong super simple but no one new it super charged and also thunderbirds all emptiers just to name a few ❤
Must be something on those old BWB video machines. Mazooma Belle and Over The Moon? Had a streak tell on attract mode.
I was one of these fools pumping endless amounts of money in the late 90s- early 2000s . It makes me mad I never stood a chance . Some people put these people who know tricks ie yourself degsy, buddylove, onabucket etc on a pedestal, but my opinion is you were no better that the coders . Leaving machines on there arse knowing the next mug was going to lose the lot .
Degsy? He knew nothing! Often claims to have known tricks but he literally ripped off orhers' knowledge with his emulation. The bloke is full of crap
@billybonkers94 can you point me in the direction of your fruity channel? I'd love to see you do better.
Please no one but the operators stud a chance, the people that "emptied" machines and made a living off them.... got a house, car and a boat...... 😂
@@adamschinkel5755and a chain of amusement arcades 😂
@@Pattayagirls555Yip, same as playing a claw machine. It was a business, they litteratey depended on you loosing.
Certainly not unthinkable but a couple of questions - 1. ex-coder has free money on tap but gives it to his mates. Fair enough but he says he can't play himself. Why? Even under an NDA or similar surely he'd still be fucked for giving out info? 2. 'put a couple of quid in & you'll win' - four quidders were before my time but surely even a due £4 machine has a chance to be on the take to some extent? Like you see a numbering JPM £8 machine, you should make on it but no guarantee you'd make if you only had a few quid on you & 5mins to play? Should be easy enough to check in the emulator too? Record an hour or so of some clearly due BFMs from the era, record an hour once they're dead then watch the vids side by side at 5x speed or w/e to see if there's anything noticeably different every few cycles
You have 5 gambling low ebbs, add add my every sympathy. Been there done that and would have bought the t-shirt (well if had any money left)
More BFM shenanigans. Why am I not surprised.
That quote from Wargames is spot on. Wish you could show some examples. I'm sure people will be searching them out now!
Have you ever seen Harry Hill’s “In A Nutshell”?
A master class in Degsy waffle!!! Love this as ever - keep up the good work.
Very believable, there was a similar thing in the late 90s on a few barcrest machines, fire and ice and it’s clones you could sit and watch attract mode to see if it was due to streak
Tim eldridge can watch a rainbow richards and tell if its gonna drop pots. Tim once got a repeadt on a rainbow ricbards freespins for 1k
@@Chicotime89 lol mmmmm nun nun nun
I can’t remember their names but one of the clones had a football theme and one rugby. Think it was eventually chipped out so attract mode would always be red.
@ was it championship soccer?
And the match gets underway!!@@fruitking6916
I know there's at least one court case where fruit machine coders got sent to prison for deliberately putting emptiers in the code.
Yup it was a Bell Fruit employee and the machine was cops and robbers. I remember the press giving the case a lot of coverage at the time
How much are you taking about taking out of the machine? Off a £4 token jackpot?
As long as it's less than you put in, a winner is you.
@ I only want to know about the emptiers not a £2 repeater that repeated twice. They’re no good to me. Which I believe this was.
@@peterhutton2667 don’t knock it, taking £6-£10 out of a machine was a fair amount of money back in 1988
Mate if it told u was gonna pay in attract more you could go into every pub, service station, arcade and play all the ones with the tell. In one day how many can you go around? 10, 15, 20? Then they all used to streak so can be say £10 profit per machine x 20 is 140 to 200 per day profit. In 1988 that’s a hell of a lot of money even today that’s decent..
This is 100 percent true imagine how many clones this worked on as well
I do agree with that degsy I work in an acrade for years I remember my manager telling me something about that back in the day mate 🍉🍉🍉
In the 80s, the legal limit was a maximum of two fruit machines in a pub. No Weatherspoons then. I think it was, Lotta Luck, that had a different display on the Alpha to know if it was chipped. It said LOTTALUCK or L.O.T.T.A.L.U.C.K. (I think)
That’s not how you play STL!!! 😮😢😂😂😂
Fucking hell I never knew that about party time! My mate once put £600 in one that was £15 jp without a top board! That was in 2003
Is this degsy? I used to watch degsy years ago and thought he had quit
yes
love these vids, how do i get to play slots on an emulator like this?
