Building a House For Every Boss Altar: Elders Pillars
The video is about how you can transform a boss altar in Valheim. We are building a house with limitations only on the boss summoning arena. There will be some interesting designs as well building techniques.
The main concept is to optimize your space, and make the build that has not only esthetic value, but is functional and is enjoyable to stay in, while you are farming ores, exploring or just want to chill from all of that hard work and fighting.
That's why the build will require a lot of resources, but it's worth it in the end.
Hope you like the build.
Stay strong Vikings!

The BEST Starter House in Valheim! From Starter Materials
Love it. Part of me was a little surprised you did not dig under the alter only because so many people do. And then the surprise! Lol
I didn't want to dig there at the beginning because it's too simple, and everyone did it at least once. But then it hit me that i didn't make a place where to place my bed. ))) So this was a spontaneous choice. And i'm glad i did it.
Really looking forward to the rest of this series!
@@majab. Thank you. I'm excited as well )
very nice build. loved a lot of details. I assume its all vanilla, am i right?
@keyhornavas Thank you. It sure is vanilla, so the console players can relate as well .
The towers look so clean. I think you did a really nice job on the build! Using the item stands as studs is a great idea!
@Ytoc67 Thank you. I'm glad you liked it :)
Claimed No. 764 on your subscriber list. Now, gotta keep moving!
@Kedvespatikus the first 1000 is like a VIP seat. Thanks, I ain't stoping for nothing. Only forward from here on now :)
Amazing🔥, i can't wait to see what the next build ❤
@at_Savi thank you. Will try my best
how did you stack the barrels??
@TablesAreTurned I was waiting for this question )))) There's a 1m beam in between/behind the barrels, so the second layer is placed on it. Just rotate the barrel to get the perfect positioning on it.
Looks pretty but the insides of those towers are so small the spaces are nearly useless. For example there are not all upgrades around the workbench and forge, not enough space for chests to make any of those towers main storage, can't put a bedroom up there because no fire, ... maybe some portals but I would never remember which tower had which portals. I want to do this same project but use the top of the pillars to place 4 meter corewood beams anchored at the center to define a circular space. I have some iron now, maybe I can spend some on wood-iron beams here to make bigger spaces. I like the idea of using the basement area under the Elder altar for a massive and safe storage area.
@PaulthePhilosopher2 I agree. The build is small, but that's the beauty of it. To find creative ways to place your stuff. By the way, all of the crafting stations are maxed out. Some of the components are on the shelves. This is just a concept, and my vision, on how i see the inside decorations. That's why I don't address the inside a lot in the video. Everyone has a unique vision. I would love to see your variation of this build. I can bet that you have some amazing ideas.
As I said above I did something similar to this - the bedroom was on the third floor, out of reach of the elder 'fire'. Fortunately, as I'd built in stone, I was able to have a fireplace up there. I appreciate not everyone is building freely without paying attention to biome specific restrictions on what's available (or even in build mode) but there are ways - you can put wood iron underneath just one meter square area, enough to support one stone pavement, which (if you have the stonecutter) would allow you to have a fire up high. good luck!
@lizvanwessem2055 Thanks for the advice.
This looks awesome bro🤩
Huge thanks )))
Amazing build. I love it
Thank you. This time, I didn't forget to mention the idea ))))))
I usually build a 2 story building for Elder. didnt even think to build 4 tower around it. amazing bro
Damn! I love the idea of small rooms where you can place your stuff. Nice build, cant wait to see what's next!!
Thanks. A small space is interesting to decorate. It makes you get creative cuz the lack of space ))) Me too ))
I had much the same idea with regard to boss arenas. Built a hunting lodge around Eikyhr, turned his altar into a dining table. The elder arena was turned into a castle keep - built with Graunstone. It was a lot of fun!! The main room with the fire i built up high - second story was at the level with the acorns on the pillars, so the smoke wasn't an issue. Second floor was a throne room with a big balcony and a hot tub with ocean views, the third a comfort bedroom. Loved it! Would've built down but it was a) on the shore and b) at sea level - i didn't even bother digging down. Won't tell you what i did for the other arenas though, as that's not fair. But they are a lot of fun to build around!! 🙂
Would love to see your builds someday. I'm always looking for creative inspiration. Too bad i'm not that good with stone. I would love to make some sort of a castle. I am planning to make a discord channel for the community to brag about their skills. The Elders spawn is a pain. That's the third build that I finally could dig down to make something. I completely understand you. Still don't have any ideas on the swamp altar, but i believe that I can come up with something on the spot. This will be fun.
Love the idea for discord to fle.. i mean share idea🥰🥰
@@kizrat21 should I be afraid of you as a competitor? )))
@@nerixgg5318 nah man. I'm still in the exploring phase. Didn't have time to build something good 😊
@kizrat21 and what are you exploring for? Have you finished the game?
Inspirational build
Nice room with xmas tree🎄
Glad you noticed.thanks
Gorgeous build!
Thank you
Idea for the next series... make an "arena" for each of the bosses. So you can summon them and fight them in an enclosed space. 😂
@Petq011 I love it. Make an arena building video. And fight them at the end. Will put it on the "to do" list. Thanks for the interesting idea.
UNFORGIVABLE! Summon Eikthyr to repent for thy sins! 😅
@@Petq011 But My lord. I just slaughtered 5 boars and a dear to clear my aura. Wasn't this enough?
@@nerixgg5318 Fine, I shall let you off easy this time!
@Petq011 Thank you for thy generosity, Your grace 👑 )))
Really nice construction ! I'm just curious, how did you play the ashlands? I mean, I can see you've already finished the game, but when you were there, did you actually do that kind of building? The question above all is, did they resist? even with the black marble wall? We get crushed with my friend, and the morgens and asksvins destroy everything we do.. x)
Oh boy. I feel your pain. That's a great question. My ashland experience was stressful, painful, and full of bad language that wasn't featured in the video (so many horrible memories) ))) I've found some methods of building there in my playthrough and tried some of them, but because of the time restrictions that i have (i have a small kid, 1.6 years old, that's why we play only after he goes to sleep, and it's 2 hours max), i couldn't build something worth showing. But, there are 3 places I found useful for building and can recommend. 1) The ruins over the water, they are safe from mobs. the only issue is the serpent. 2) There are some balanced places near the shore and far away from lava. Only the skeletons and birds come to visit once in a while. 3) The fortress (obvious one). If you don't brake the gate and jump over the wall (Attack on Titan Style), then it's the safest place. Just need to break the middle tower, and you get a loot of space to work with. P.s. the black marble can resist 2 hits from a lava blob, and grausten can take 3 hits. Just don't forget to build spikes or a trench around the build. And if you have a dwarven totem and a shield generator, you should be ok for some time. Did I answer your question? :)
Hesitated to click follow as you had 666 at the time. Liked the jokes, love the build, awesome work!
@LordDestruction i saw that someone subscribed. But i got the screenshot for my collection ))) And I nearly missed that number. ))) Thank you. I'm glad you liked it 😊
You've given me so many fantastic ideas with this video, really well done.
And there I was, worrying that I could've added more. Thank you. I appreciate it. :)
I'd really like to see a "house for every boss Altar" video that showcases building materials that the player can actually use at that time. I get it: A lot more work, but no one can use as stone cutter, let alone have tar to even make this build. Fun concept, but I find it useless for vanilla play.
I did a series of builds for every Biome where i use only the material as you progress in the story. This particular build uses only wood, and the stone cutter isn't necessary. Only the paths are from is from stone. The tar pieces you can replace with thatch and wooden poles. There's not much to switch there. Trying to make the build as simple as possible. I get the idea that you suggested, and I will keep it in mind. Maybe will do something on this topic in the future 👍
bruh
I have a really nice elder church base I’d like to show you. I have a unique design approach
I'm interested. Was planning to make a discord channel for similar. Need a bit of time to do it. If you don't mind, I'll write to you here, when it's ready
Love this! Would absolutely watch an hour going over the details! Perfect for a no portals run... 👀
Thanks 😊 I don't know if i can handle an hour montage, but it's an interesting suggestion ))) I had an idea to make a stream on this topic. That way, i can show my thought proces on building and placing things.
It sounds like a fine Valheim bistro or somethin XDD
Shhhh... Don't give it away. ))) It's just that I was hungry while building.
What a nice build and idea for a serie man, hyped for the next builds, keep it up
Thank you. Hope the next one ends up even better.
Another nice build video 😊
@GusArtmanAI Thank you, my friend. :)
I have made 4-5 bases under Elder altars, but there was something super annoying: only in the first one the altar itself was aligned with the tiles, which made my building a joy., but the others, argh....
I'm now working on the Elders build. And yeah, it looks like a perfect square from the beginning, but when you start placing your material, a lot of stuff doesn't align. just a bit off. and it was frustrating. I completely understand you. Don't wanna brag, but the Elders build is dope. I can even say, it's the best one I've build, yet. Can't wait to publish it :)
What I really like in this particular video - apart from your lovely accent - is that you also addressed the interior, not just the exterior, keeping practicality in focus with it. Oh, and you're not the only one around here with a little bit...khm...easy-to-distract mind. :)
Thank you very much :) I love it when the items and each corner has a purpose. And it feels like robbing someone, if I don't show the interior. The house should be complete from all the sides. Than it seams I'm not the only one, that got smacked with a log far to many times. Maybe that's the reason for getting distracted :D
This is so lovely and creative! Love your accent, too :D!
Thanks. Tried my best :) I was sick when i recorded. Could barely breathe :D but thank you, glad you like it.
And then you accidentally summon the boss and he blows it all up xD. But very nice build :)
At this point, I'm afraid to ask, where will he spawn exactly. Maybe by the end of the series, I'll do a mini compilation on this topic ))) Thank you very much :)
Beautiful finsih sir. You deserve to hit 1000 subs just from this video
Thank you for the warm comment. I appreciate it.
I appreciate this video. I recently used the Elder's eternal bonfire to place my meade kettil and cauldron. It's not a huge deal, but never having to rekindle cooking fires is nice. And if you build a bed underneath the mount, or anywhere within range of the eternal flame you likewise never need to re-kindle a fire for sleeping.
Thank you very much. True, true. I think that the Elders spawn is my most favorite place for 2 reasons. The never extinguishing fire and that you can build an underground base and don't worry if the whole thing brakes. As well, there is something special about living in the forest in your own cozy hut. It's close to a childhood dream of mine :)
Amazing build. Would like a better peek at the walls. Subbed can’t wait to see more
Thanks. Ok, can do that.. I'll make a short fragment of the walls and include it in the next video, as an example when i will build the exterior 😉
Gunna be a sick series cant wait to see what you do with the elder! learned a lot of about interior and exterior building from this !
I hope so, as well. You won't believe me, but i'm experementing and learning as well ))) Elders house is interesting. Almost finished the exterior. And I can say for sure, it FIRE. Hope you'll like it as much as I do.
Very nice looking with lots of interesting design ideas. I'm going to check out your other houses now.
Thank you. Please, be my guest :) I'm still learning many new things with each build.
This is epic
Thx. Wait till you see the elders base. It's already in production )
Great content keep going!
Thank you. Much appreciated :)
I never even thought to make a hose on the boss altar. Great build.
Thanks. Wait till you see the rest of them :)
The base looks fine as hell. I'm hyped to see what's next!
It sure does. I'm working on the Elders base. And it's Fire! Just wait and see ))
Eikthyr spawns in: “…I like what you did with the place.”
Now i definitely wanna know what he thinks and where he will spawn if i summon him. :))) Maybe after completing the series, I'll do a compilation on this topic.
@ haha! That would be cool. Create a backup save file first just in case! Or make a series out of rebuilding them possibly? Lol
@@nerixgg5318 You MUST summon them after you finish the builds! 😆
@Petq011 I think i might do it. Summon it and start a fight inside the build. And see what's left afterward.
Are you putting the biome bases on hold until the deep north update, or are you making a house in the ocean biome?
Damn. You are right about the ocean. That's a Biome as well. Somehow, the ocean slipped out of my mind. But thx for reminding me of that fact. I'm in production for the elders altar-home now, but after it I will start thinking about building something on the water.
@@nerixgg5318 Can't wait. Keep up the good work :)
Super 👍
I lost a score of the word "BEAM," but this build is very interesting. Thank you for this fantastic experience. Keep up the good work 👏 🔥♥️
You're welcome. And thanks for the uplifting comment :)
Don't mind my extra deep voice, I was terribly sick. And, can you count how many times i said beams? 😅
I was sad. no credit for the idea came from me 😥😥😥😥
@kizrat21 Sorry, I was disgustingly ill at the moment. Could bearly breathe. But, I haven't forgotten. I'll mention you in the upcoming one. Deal? :)
great build as always sir. i'll copy some of it into my world. Get well soon
@kizrat21 Thanks. I'll try my best :)
Fire! Do it!
It's already rendering. Hope you enjoy it )
🔥🔥🔥
Using the stools as lattice looks so good. I forgot about that. Great build. Thanks for uploading it.
@adambier2415 It's also great to use as a custom furniture piece. Like legs for a table or a gap in a closet. You can make a custom wall with 2 layers, and the inside layer can be can be combined with stones and stools. In one of my next videos, I will show what i had in mind :)
@ i look forward to that.
