Ericson Design Company was created by Stoner Ericson to bring to life his ideas and inspire others to get in the shop and build something. Stoner found that his passion for creation could also provide design solutions for friends. “You need this? I can build it!” “You need that? I can build it!” After several successful projects for friends and business contacts, Stone started tackling designs he had been writing down in his ever-expanding idea book. With each project, requests for more custom builds streamed in, so he decided to share his work with the world, and this channel was born. So what is your idea? We’ll design it & Let’s Build Something!

Hi, Any chance you can show the backside of the pneumatic clamps? How your dowel is attached? Also, what size hole? Thank you.
If you look in the comments, there’s some shorts about all that you can watch those and I’ll tell you everything thanks for watching
Great tip! On an interior job I split a Dixie cup and added it to the mouth of my Dewalt non-slider. It was a significant improvement but I'm sure this tape hack will be much more effective. I will copy your method tomorrow. Thanks!
That’s a great idea thanks for watching
The hose kit you have listed is for a 12mm hose. Just fyi.
Oh thanks
The piece of dowel is called a fipple, not a reed
Oh great to know thanks
Ty, super nice and really helpful
Great glad to help thanks for watching by the way mine still rocking and rolling and all these years later love it.
how are the clamps mounted to the back or that board? I assume a round pin is screwed onto them. I will have to think this over I am in the process of designing pneumatic bar clapes that hang on a french cleat and can fold out to mount a panel and then fold flat on the wall, I am planning on using unistrut to make the clamps. But I do like this a lot. You got a like and sub from me anyway.
Yeah, there’s a dowel with a screw through it. I have a short video on that as well. Thanks for watching. By the way means a lot. Happy Woodworking to you.
How many pneumatic clamp can you connect to the switch ?
As many as you want and all depends on what your air compressor is set at
@@StonerEricson thank you I guess I just need more splitters then. So for three clamps I would need to split each port to three line
A splitter would work or you can get a switch that has multiple ports
@@StonerEricson the only switch I found was that 5 way 2 position. Do you know of any switch for more than 1 port for double acting rod. Thanks
No I have never looks the way I have mine set up is the way I like it sorry
You have quite a few followers who would like purchase plans with dimensions and proper cad PDF. Your can grab "Maker" version of Solidworks CAD software that includes a CAM generated code. They are opening their software to mom and pop operations at $48.00 for an annual license. The only drawbacks are you need a newer laptop or desktop computer and patience because it is cloud based. You are allowed to earn $2000 in sales with this $48 investment, if you laptop meets the CPU and video min requirements.
Nice design, I might just use your design and add 2 piano hinges and 4 to 6 pneumatic struts. The rear panel and front panel could be hinged to permit pass thru routing of longer length wood and maybe put 2 longer struts on both the right and left exterior to assist in lifting and lowering the fold down feature.
Yeah, that’ll be kind of cool. Great idea. I have a video on how I built it step-by-step process all the measurements are there so check out that one too thanks for watching. Happy Woodworking too.
great info! how are you making the pnematic clamps stay? are there round pegs glued to the backs of them?
Yes, I made a short showing how I attached them. It’s in the rest of the comments below I love this thing. It’s all my favorite things in the shop, but I get this question all the time so it’s the round pegs with CA glue and a one and five agent screw running through the screw in the automatic clamp all of the products I use for the pneumatics are in the link in the description of the video so you can just order it directly off Amazon

Stoner, the audio stopped at 4:00 (for me). 🙁
Oh not let me check it out
Yeah, for some reason, the voiceover the music and the audio is all messed up. I’ll have to just redo it. Thanks for the heads up. Good looking out, man.
Looks like I uploaded the second edit not the final because it doesn’t even show you how to get up to Amazon and doesn’t show you the jewelry holder or any of the voiceovers my bad ha ha ha ha ha ha
@@StonerEricson Look forward to seeing the polished version!
Something I just learned yesterday about the WD-40 can - it will spray a wide pattern without removing the red tube....you just leave the tube in the "down" position against the can and spray...i.e., it has two spray positions. Not sure how WD-40 thought that was obvious or intuitive....great video - thanks!
Nice pro tip thank you happy Woodworking to you
Greatest song❤❤
Thanks
Also wrap Paper Towel 🧻 x3 layers around your shopvac filter and now you only change the paper towel and never have to clean the filter.
That’s a great idea
Thanks bud, great review. Do you have a video of it being used please?
Yes there is so many on my channel thanks for watching happy Woodworking to you.
What's the blue hose you're using for your drum sander?
It the dust collection it’s a must have with this tool. Thanks for watching. Happy Woodworking to you.
nice
Hell ya NICE
Such a cool idea for a plant stand!!
ARe you having any difficulty with snip on the 16-32. I would just like to dial mine in a bit. Thank you and thanks for the follow-up.
If you’re having a bunch of snipe, I think you should back it off just a little bit. I haven’t had any issues with mine once I started taking less off at a time. Good luck and happy Woodworking. Thanks for the comment.
Now that’s awesome!
What gauge nail gun did you use?
18 gauge thanks for watching happy Woodworking to you
I gotta love a guy with your name/nickname making a grinder! Everything wood is good, keep up the great videos.
Awesome thanks for watching means a lot
That is way too far for decent dust collection using so much flex hose, let alone fighting gravity to pull the dust up to the next floor. Mine is about 6' from my planer & 20' from my jointer, nearly all straight 4" PVC. Very effective.
Nice it’s exactly what I need to hear thanks for the comment. Really appreciate it. Happy Woodworking to you.
@@StonerEricson I enjoy your shows, Stoner. Good sawdusting to you!
Nice. What and how did you mount any pegs to the bottom of these aluminum pressure cylinders?? I really trying to make one for myself. Thank you!!
--- Upd. I’ve found an answer in previous posts. Thanks

Man I’m so sorry here’s is a link to a short I just made for you hope it helps
Looks great 👍
Nope, just drive it backwards until it unscrewed.
There u go
Stoner, I happened upon your video as I contemplate setting up my workshop and your saw/router combo is what I had in mind! I have a 12'x18' loft shed I use for screen printing, am going to begin using it as a woodworking shop (charc, cutting, cornhole, etc.) and needed a space-saver solution for my major equipment. I especially like the flip-over band saw. Even if there isn't another piece of equip. it will def provide more counterspace. 👍🏼 Thank you for the great video and I'll be screaming through your others for more ideas as well as throwing questions at you. Best of luck to you, brother. - Mat
Hell ya man that’s awesome your are the reason I make these videos I was looking for space saving solutions on UA-cam when I built my shop if you have any questions or anyway, I can help. Please let me know Man. Thanks for the bad ass comment happy Woodworking to you.👍
Добрый день! подскажите, пожалуйста, что у вас за стенд сверху фуганка?
Right on
So cute for squirrels use. They will always love ❤you for this.
So fun to make
Tevacca is so cute with personality plus. Great to see her!
She is so rad
Where did you buy those pneumatic clamps? Please share thank you.
There’s a link to them in the description of the video. Thanks for watching.
Hello! Great video! Where did you get the wheels ?
Amazon
What about a custom magnetic cutting board that you can hang so that it decorates the kitchen, holds the bowl and knifes even when you hang it.
That’s a very cool idea good looking out. Thanks for watching. Happy Woodworking to you.
I just use the cheapest gates and cut the lower edge (when it opens by the top). Then it become self cleaning. A whistle noise is normal when the vacuum works and all the gates are closed. It does not really hinder the succion power. Or make your blast gates by yourself with melamine and foam stripes..
Nice good solution. Thanks for watching. Happy Woodworking to you.
That's very cool. Thank you for sharing your setup. When did you start setting up your shop? I'd like to know how long it took you. Nice and professional video. Keep it up!
Thank you for the nice comment I started building my shop in 2020. It took me about a year and a half to complete it that’s also when I started making my videos. Happy Woodworking to you.
I just added the Rockler dust right blast gates to my dust collector. The new ones have a self cleaning feature that works great. They are $20 each so they aren’t cheap but they work great.
Nice send me a link to them
Greetings. Twenty-five years I inherited my father's table saw, which promptly got 'ruined'(or so I thought) by a leak directly above the table, causing massive rusting. I parked it in a corner, covered it, and forgot about it. Now I need a table saw for a project, so I went looking for a fix and found your video, tried your steps, got amazing results considering, but there are still some tiny rust pits remaining. The top feels smooth now, and I'm going to go over it with 440 yet to really smooth it out, but before waxing I'd like to know if there is anything else I could do to remove those pits? Thank you.
Not in my experience those big pits are actually indentations in the cast-iron top, so just get it as smooth as you can and wax it with paste wax glad you like the video. Hope it helped. Happy Woodworking to you. 👍
I would love to build some of the things you have made in your workshop, esp table/router saw! & dubs cc co
did you say dust collection in ATTIC?! how did you do that? Would like to do same.
Ya I did it’s so sweet super quiet easy to empty I made a video about it on my channel it’s called dust collection
been nice if you could have slowed things down some so we could see how you put it together, wow shame.
Oh sorry it went to fast I will try slowing it down in the future thanks for watching
Phenomenal video. Exactly what I needed. THANK YOU!
Right on glad to help this week I am remodeling a kitchen repainting the cabinets. I need to sand all the doors and I’ll literally just run them through the jet 1632 on a 220. It will save me hours of hand sanding I love this thing. thanks for watching and happy Woodworking to you.
Thanks for the info. Was just debating 1020 or 1632. 1632 it is! Need to move dust collection to attic to make room in my 11’ x 20’ shop. Any advice on that? Did you vent to outside? Thank you
No need to vent it outside for me I made a video on how I put it in the attic on my page
@@StonerEricson Thank you, I will check it out.
Nice idea but so much easier to do if you simply remove the blade first! Your method is a good way to scratch your hand on the blade.
Great thanks for watching
Nice setup. I am starting with making some videos and always find it hard to find workshop rig setups. I'll definitely be making something similar in the future.
Awesome let me know where I can I can check it out I have a whole video on the shop filming rig. Check it out.
@@StonerEricson My videos are @wilmerwoodworks but the videos and my shop are not as polished as yours "yet" I slowly get better with each one. 👍
@@wilmerwoodworks nice I just subscribed my main thing with posting on UA-cam is just have fun with it looking forward to watching your videos
Fun what machine is doing the cuttin?
It’s just doing the engraving. It’s called the LaserPecker it’s so mush fun thanks for watching
A lil fun in the shop!
Oh ya
That’s super cool!
Let’s jam out sometime
subd do you have any new content coming?
Yes I do
Man, i fear for your hands on that table saw !!!!
Thanks
Are you going to come and wipe his ass for him too. My God you people kill me!!!!
Awesome! ❤❤❤
Thanks man
