You show respect for God by obeying his commandments and living a life that is pleasing to him, not by whether or not you have shades on. Next thing you will be telling us that it's disrespectful to God to wear a white suit after Labor day. Those are SOCIAL constructions, not worship toward God.

If their way of celebrating God is with suits and sunglasses, instead of judging their apparel, maybe you should be more concerned with how they are treating one another as brothers in the gospel. In fact, according to Jesus, you should first be worried about how YOU are treating people. You have a long way to go before you could get to criticizing sunglasses. But you've been trained to think that "praising God" only means looking a certain way because that's what church does.

So one shouldn't look "cute" while praising God? Should we only praise him while wearing sackcloth? Your attitude shows little understanding of what praise is about even from a Biblical perspective. Praise in the Bible was a time of CELEBRATION of what God had done for his people, and who he was. It was a very festive time, and getting dressed up isn't about wearing a "uniform" to praise God, particularly since praise is a lifestyle. It's about being jubilant over God's blessings.
