From my point of view the documentary feels like something for new people to get into the Beach Boys. An introduction. As a full on fan I would've liked more but now I'm hoping this can bring more people into the community.

I was thinking of removing the scratches but the clips are so short and a future release of longer versions are inevitable so its not worth it right now. Oh ya, also they actually restored film footage of the fire truck sequence. Unlike the official Goodvibrations song up on youtube release which looked very smooth, this one looks really good. Bravo to all the restoration crew behind this project.

I'd call Brian the 6th Beatle cause he was in lock step with them at this point (even has the hair cut) and they both were bouncing ideas around that totally changed rock and pop music. We all know George Martin is the 5th Beatle and is why the Beatles could even compete with Brian's Beach Boys songs of this era. Brian was cranking out epic tunes from 1963 to 1967 and that falsetto voice of his. Up to 1967 I think it's better than his brother Carl. It was disappointing to see that Carl had to do the falsetto instead of Brian in the 1976 comeback 15 Big Ones concert. Brian being back was the main reason I wanted to go to it, he was only in his 30s and couldn't bring himself to sing falsetto. Yes, I went to see God sing and Brian was there kind of participating, his heart wasn't in it at all. Guy is in serious decline now, prayers to him.

If only van dyke had not walked away, smile would have been made. Still amazed at all the urban legends spread about Brian destroying the masters.

When i was 7, I won Beach boys tix at a Canucks game. Stupid ol me didn't appreciate them at the point and Brian was playing with them at that show. I sold the 2 tix for $100. To this day I regret it 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Maybe like a Beatles Get Back but just everything, like all those Lei'd In Hawaii things and what not, hopefully we'll get some new stuff with this upcoming documentary or somethin.

What software did you use

Read in The SMiLE Shop years ago, it's from Dennis' 16mm handheld in December 1966. Some of his film was used in the "Good Vibrations" promo, which looks like it'd go better with Mrs. Oleary's Cow.

Where did this come from? The stuff that they filmed in the studio and at Brian’s house is the holy grail! Too bad it was (probably) destroyed.
