I looked it up on google and it said u can do this in 1 or 2 hours, but only people who dont take their time does in that amount of time so their dorodango is very dull and not shiny
The original meaning of "doro-dango" in Japanese is not "shiny mudball" but "mud dango" where "dango" is a type of food, a ball-shaped dumpling, often covered with shiny sweet paste.
really enjoyed this. When I was a kid, I read the Eragon books, which highlights the "erôthknurl" - a dwarven mud ball. I loved it then, and thought of it when watching your video. It's clear you wanted to showcase your corner of the world as well as how you appreciate it - lovely video, thank you.
@@appleseedgames6934 I think especially because it's dirt and so worthless, that it creates a powerul metaphor. With enough time effort, and creatvity, even something as useless as dirt can turn into a nice and satisfying shiny sphere. Now you use that story and sell the dirt ball to a museum for 3 million dollars lol

They mentioned at the end that it can be made with any type of soil. :>

It's not "Mud dango" either... its literal Japanese translation is "mud dumpling."

Dango is not a dumpling it’s a rice cake
@@wyan771 actually it's a DUMPLING ~
Beautiful video!❤🥲
This video was so relaxing
how much time in the bag when it starts to crack?
Just mix in straw to the core mix to avoid cracking altogether
@@GrannySoupLadle Useful but not the answer to the question 😂
And if you have seven a dragon appears.

Save krillin
Your wish has been granted. Oops, he's dead again.
I wonder if i can do that with beach sand.
Sand won’t stick the same as clay.

泥だんご = mud dumpling. or mud ball.
