I don't believe it's available publicly. It was given to me during some production work that the studio made itself. You can get it on the patreon if you're interested!

we are back, always loving your breakdown videos, hope one day i will be doing such videos ❤🙂.. bro what's your pc specs and do you use render farm?
Thanks a lot man! I'm sure you will be doing such videos, Just keep at it! I have a rtx 4070 ti super with a ryzen 9 7900x and 64 GB RAM, So i don't really need to use any renderfarms haha.

New here.. but holy crap, can't wait to dive into all of your videos!! Amazing stuff! I would love to know how you're getting assets from Quixel Bridge over into Blender successfully?? I've watched a few tutorials on "fixes" and as of right now, nothing is working. Only the model/object gets imported but no textures come with it. Any guidance or insight would be much appreciated 💕 thank you!
Hi, thank you so much! For quixel, I found this cool little addon through some random reddit post that led me to a shady google drive link that fixes it. I don't have that link. But I will put this up on my patreon as a free thing so it can help you out :) !! It should be up there in a few mintues!

Your Ian Hubert inflection is good but the fast talking is really not necessary. I spend more time adjusting the playback speed than actually working on the project lol. Great work! But just take it easy on the speed
haha, I understand that. The reason I do so is because people watch twice as long when i talk faster. My early videos are me talking slowly and I think people dropped in the middle as it felt too slow or too long.

Adding skin and subd to wires is the pretty foolish
lol, can you elaborate on why its foolish, is there something wrong with that ? it's always given me good consistent results.
@@that3dguy119 i am not saying about the artwrk, it is beautiful. but the way you gave so much geometry just to wires, in my opinion is bad or unnecessary
@@princebali9838 I see where you're coming from, if i had my older PC I would agree, I wouldn't do that. But now with modern hardware, it's very cheap to render, I can render 10 million polygons in under 1 minute nowadays. So this extra 10k poly is basically nothing.
@@that3dguy119 adding more thing this, the person who is watching you doing this, if he is a biggener, he will probably assume that this is the right way to do this, and he dont have a good pc. Thank you so much :)
Another hit! Your channel is set to blow up. Your art style is really cool. Not too complicated, but still complex enough to be exciting. You put there only what is really needed for the story to be told, and you explain your artistic choices on the go. The pacing is just perfect. Fast, but completely understandable and easy to follow. Your voice is kind of relaxing, and the slight accent just makes it more interesting to listen to. No annoying music, no fast cuts and unnecessary flashy edits, just straight to the point. I wish you all the best, and keep them coming!
That's one of the best comments I've ever gotten! Thank you so much , It really means a lot !

@@ChornaAkula-z5k thank you ! :)
How long did it take you from start to finish the scene (minus the render time)?
If I remove the planning phase, I would say 2 days, about 12 hours.
@@that3dguy119 That's really quick. I've been working on a longer project that's now going on 8 months having various 30 second scenes wrapped up in a longer story. I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and like seeing them come out so frequently. I think I'm going back to smaller scenes myself. Great job on these.
@@PatrickDaniels Woah, multiple 30 second shots is a TON of work! Yeah, it's much simpler to do a single shot of something, so it's more approachable for tutorials. I would definitely be interested in seeing what your final Project looks like !!
@@PatrickDaniels I am also kind of planning to do a small short film of need for speed, i recently played their recent game and am really inspired to do something regarding that. But will probably mean i post less on UA-cam so it's a bit of a gamble.
@@that3dguy119 I know the feeling of having limited time. I spend most of my nights and weekends just fiddling around with Blender, Resolve, Photoshop and I'm now touching Nuke a tad. Everything I'm doing can be found here: @FuzzyBallsProductions My last short is there. It came out okay but it was mostly a modeling exercise more than a serious project. I'll likely be finished with this new project next month. I have something like 2400 frames to render out. Oof. :)

i have 3 questions. 1. what would be an free alternative to the mountains. looked nearly everywhere but didn’t find anything. 2. how do you scatter the grass exactly with an plugin or is it just in blender?3. What should I do when pc stars crashing with the trees of the video? very good video keep it up!
@@jakoo894 Hi, for the mountains, I don't think there is a free alternative as of yet, getting good quality terrain is quite complex, so there's not many free tools to help with it. The geo scatter plug in is just and took that you use to hand paint the grass. Please check out my previous video, i explained in detail how I did it! If the trees are crashing your scene, i recommended to convert the trees into a mesh as they are very dense, then decimate them (0.3) value should work.
@ thanks a lot!
Thanks for sharing your workflow. :)
@@savagesauron4147 my pleasure:)
I liked the original one better😆. But great stuff anyway!
@@Seppnick oh lol, what did you like about the first one that's better 🤔🤔
@@that3dguy119First I like the lighting better. It feels more unique and more "not on earth". Also the visible sci-fi structures and the artificial touch (e.g. the very saturated trees in the background) activate my imagination more then the final one where the environment is just too close to my real surrounding. It is like years ago when everybody thought AR would be great because you could fight stormtroopers in your livingroom. But in the end a stormtrooper in the livingroom just looks silly because the stormtrooper doesn't raise the sci fi level of my living room, but my living room eats up the sci fi level of the stormtrooper 😄. Also the first one looks like it has an real art style. It feels a little bit like Terminal Velocity (I feel old knowing that 🤣)or Star Fox SNES meets Zelda BOTW.
@@Seppnick Ah that makes sense !!
I love the lighting.
@@ahmedshakib3883 thank you !

looks very nice. I would recommend keeping an eye on the scale of things. the ship looks a lot too small im comparison for the pathway and the background ship looks a lot too big for the mountains. Something with a very large scale needs some very fine details to convey the sense of scales example of windows on a star destroyer or little antennas poking out from the surface etc. Best way to keep track of scale is to keep the models to physically accurate scales. you can see how large they are in the n tab. This will also make sure you get the right DOF effect with the camera. I would also get reference photos for lighting in such a case. And maybe desaturate the orange part of the image, as the ship has more of a "happy quirky" vibe to it, while the landscape conveys a very moody scene. Always keep the intention of your scene in mind and then ask yourself "do the objects and lighting in my scene fit the intention". FOr example the way the path and sign are setup without reading the sign first, it feels to me a bit more like a hiking path instead of a dangerous zone that cannot be entered. if I could give you some composition advice: I would change the camera angle as to not have the horizon be in the middle of the image but rather either one or two thirds of the image. In this case, because the focus should be on the ship flying the the sky in front of the huge abandoned spaceship, I would recommand to tilt the camera slightly upwars. So you dont have as much of the ground showing, atm you could crop out almost a third of the image at the bottom while stile maintaining everything important the scene. And then for lighting as someone already mentioned. The lighting needs to be consistent in throughout your scene. I would always recommend looking up reference images of similar scenes to get an idea for how the lighting could be. alsow ith big mountains, there is usually more fog at the base of the mountain than at the top.
This is extremely Helpful Advice, I cannot appreciate it enough. I will try to re-render this piece after making these changes when I get the time. But will also try to keep things like these in mind for my next scene. Thank you very much !

I’ve been using blender for around 4 years, and this is probably one of the most informative tutorials I’ve ever seen. So many things I’ve wanted to figure out how to do were addressed here. This has given me a lot more motivation and excitement for future projects, thank you!
@@0nshore I'm glad I could help!!
Great job over all. In my opinion one slight missed opportunity is, to have the spot light on the ship fixed in space and have the ship come out of the light into a darker area. It will give a lot more depth to the scene as it will imply that there are these holes in the clouds where we can occasionally see patches of purse sun light! It still works tho, I just think that might make it slightly more atmospheric :) Keep up the good work!
@@DarkoMitev that's an interesting point , I'll try that out as see how it looks. Thank you !!
Mood is super nice. I think some more steps in comp would have polished this alot.Matte painting for the mountains and the ships, just paint over a still frame in photoshop and enhance the details, they look too blurred. The light linking on the ship breaks the integration. If you want a focal point it should be either some cloud breaking lighting a larger scale portion or everthing in fog like in bladerunner e.g. I also think that the foliage greatly differs in the grade of realism, you should make them a lot more randomised, and that fence is more stylized game aesthetic
Excellent points. I'll try to do better on these things when I do my next scene. I really appreciate it :)
Nice video ❤
