which one has best stock exhaust sound?

Both are beautiful bikes. I run a 14’ Breakout, V&H 2x2 Exhaust, SE Performance Air Cleaner. No stages but maybe down the line. My 103 looks practically the same as the one shown.

The earlier 103 breakout is by far HD beat bike.

I have a 2016 breakout 103 stage 4 best of both sound and raw vibrations and looks of the 103 and the power of the 114 The 114 and the 117 remind me of m109r Suzuki engines big v twins but smooth

hmmm i think the 103 the sound it produces is more thick and bassy than the 114.

103 sounds better, has a bigger tank, looks more retro, etc

They are both sooooo... gorgeous! I keep changing my mind. First I want the 103...then, nope! Got to have the 114...then....Actually, I think I would just flip a coin.

I’d take either. But the M8 is the motor that got me into a Harley. That is a really great engine. I’ve had 3 already. 114 fatbob, 135 road glide, and finally a 117 low rider. Great motor

So you can put a bigger tank on the 114 but you can't fix the sound . I have not ridden either but I like them both

103 by far, they took lots of weight out of the 114, to me that’s less of a bike, 103 all day long

Test rode the 114. I'm bias to the styling. My wife's favorite is the 103. The 117 is cool but not cool enough.

sound wise, 103 is way way way better than 114. My 2017 iron with V&H sounds like a little bro of 103.

So I have a 2015 breakout with a stage 1 at 85 horse power with 103 torque with the V&H pipes and heavy breather. I'm able to get about 200 miles on non ethanol gas with ethanol only 160 and feels like a small lack in power so I don't use that gas and would not recommend it. I have never had any issues with the 103 runs like a champ also great decell pop that I love that's makes it slightly louder and will maybe prevent a potential accident

Definitely 103 big time. Pluss the 103 is more reliable.

The 103 is a work of art. But Im biased as I have one and just love it.

103 for the win : ) But i`m biased, I have a 103. BTW the 103 is also key less and you can literally walk up to it and start it and walk away and its immobilized.

That 103 should chop allot harder than that change the cam

117 fixed everything! Bigger tank more chrome, new wheels! Love them all but 117 really killed it 🎉

The 103 motor in the breakout does not have enough performance, neither does the 110, when compared to the 96 cu in the 2009 Night Train. Speaking from personal experience. The 117 is the way to go. However I dont agree the 114 is the best engine HD has made. Bore out the 96 to 107 and it beats the 114.

Just started getting into bikes. Just got my license & looking for a bike. Always wanted a sport bike maybe a ninja 300 to start. But man these bikes are absolutely stunning…
