Dude, soo good, hoping I'll be able to do Boston some time in the future! 😁
One of the coolest quad players
Do you care to explain the reason for using the suedes on the bottom drums? I’m guessing just for a warmer tone?
pretty sure that’s right; i’ve seen conflicting theories on it. must be a trade secret
FTQ at 8:41 in particular
Sick asf, Love the ending so much. good shit
Ah yes, the AHAMAYs, love their stuff (I’m just a Highschooler, but great video)

Hi David
i wanted to say thanks for helping me make the switch from vibraphone to quads with your woodlands hs vids, best decision of my life
You guys were great this year. Congratulations on all the successes.
Are we gonna get a snare or bass cam?😢
Babe wake up, the goat just posted
So glad they changed up some of those measures for finals. I’ve learned all of it but the fast singles at the end get me 😭

I don't understand the rhythm
Drop Catch - for the LH version triples, see if you can keep the throw you have for the check. You lose a bit of attack quality as you go. In the alternating rep, you occasionally lost some clarity when you moved to the outer drums - it's small but make sure you don't change the approach when shifting out. Rolls - Mostly good interp. You slur the groupings of 4 sometimes but you hop back into the stricter interp for the longer rolls. At the faster tempos, settle that first bar a little more. You fix it quick, but see if you can have the first thing you play be in there right away. A little bit of grind on the 3 drum at the fastest tempo extended rolls, lighten up a touch and you're there. McD's - accent/tap approach is good. Want to see if you can make all the check bars a bit more consistent in terms of height - there's a good amount of variance which causes the rhythms to falter at times. At the fastest tempo, the doubles in the paradiddles have a sticky quality. Try to imagine the interp you play the drag variation in the rudiment sheet with and apply it here. Flam Basics - Good grace note approach! Try to dial in the hand to hand flam width a little bit - the RH tends to open up compared to the LH. Neither is bad, but want to match them up. Basic Strokes Chunks - isolate the 2s to smooth out the upstrokes, gets pretty wonky once one got a little wide. This was better the second rep. Some work on extended relaxation in the tap pyramid might resolve some of the tension you've got during the 8s, 7s, and 6s here. BS TAG - During all the extended single stuff, I appreciate the commitment to the downstroke idea, but I think you can open your hands a little bit to find some flexibility in the grip. Basic Strokes Run - Get a little more comfortable with the 5s and 4s, those seem to be your least favorite in the up and downstroke versions. Other variations feel solid. Ah no breaks!! Spanks - See if you can control the filler hand a little more in buck a duck - the "check" gets slightly wonky and your approach to the tap weight changes as you go. Some of your pathways when you get to 12 and above get wild. Try to maintain the vertical pathway all the way up. Shot quality can lighten up quite a bit - you're getting to the poundy end of the spectrum. Rudiment Sheet - great approach/consistency on a lot of this stuff. Big improvements from last time. Some of the repeated flam material (floppies, fla-flams) could use some work to increase grace note consistency. Show Music - Good stuff in here. For some of the herta material/singles - want to see if you can find max rebound/flow for the stuff, even if it's at 9".
Bro had special access to give some amazing advice 🔥🔥
recently switched from frontline vibraphone to drumline tenor. super excited to see the reason I switched still posting on his youtube

Great job 👏🏼 guys!
😊😊😊😊😊😊💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Far cry from when I was in HS. Great job!! It's so good to see kids putting in the time and team work to be this great together. Future is bright.....
Drop Catch: Great throw and support! Careful that a couple of your doubles don't get slightly rounded. Especially at the faster tempo there's a bit of impatience in getting past the two check beats - just be a little more deliberate in those before you get into the next part. McDiddles: Great two height approach to this stuff. Make sure you don't get lazy on the check bar and in between some of the accents. Causes some fluctuation in the tap quality. Flam Control: Dial in the levels a bit more. Grace notes are a little wild - shoot for the dropping concept. A little stricter downstroke on the release of the accents will help this too. 2HR: Good relaxed quality on the check/taps. See if you can eliminate the small moments of hesitation in the initiation of the rolls. Will help you maintain the laserlike quality you achieve for the most part. For the fastest tempo, strive for 3% more relaxation on the extended rolls, may be a front of the grip pressure idea. Flam Builders: Make sure you're not getting sliced pathways on some of this stuff. Dropped in grace notes will help the flam quality - similar to flam control. Losing the met due to a rushed feel in the flam tap stuff. Rudiment Sheet: A lot of good stuff - the mechanics are there. Want to see if you can try to connect ideas in here - a lot of it feels very beat to beat. See if you can connect stroke motions to increase the length of ideas. A little more of a deliberate feel will help a lot of the ideas feel less rushed through as well. Basic Strokes: Good relaxation on the tap pyramid. Similar idea to the rudiment sheet - can you connect ideas in this exercise together? The hand to hand transitions are pretty hairy at times - might just be a form thing but there needs to be a higher level of comfort. When you get to the extended singles passages in the tag that have shots, try to maintain the same feel that you have in the ideas without shots. You tend to tense up and incorporate the arm in unnecessary spots. Spanks: Good preparation overall. Good work on the tag. Another dive into the approach/smoothness of some of the earlier sections (especially Snots) will help a lot. Check out 3 before D. You've got a lot of the basics/mechanics down, but need to do some work on flam work (low grace notes) and get in there on the details for spanks/basic strokes before camp. Appreciate the work you're doing, just want to see you get to the next level of detailing and confidence.
Techs. Stop drumming on their drums at shows. Your time is over give it up let the kids have this one
Bass 5 from last year on tenors this year nice
