Abraham Lake (crown land camping) - Alberta, Canada
Переглядів 33 тис.4 роки тому
Abraham Lake, also known as Lake Abraham, is an artificial lake and Alberta's largest reservoir. It is located in the "Kootenay Plains area of the Canadian Rockies' front range", on the North Saskatchewan River in western Alberta, Canada. Filmed on DJI Mavic Mini amzn.to/3bn1OOW
I wish you guys wouldn’t put stuff like this on the Internet. This is a beautiful spot and it is now overrun with campers. There is garbage everywhere. What is the point of putting this on Internet?
So city idiots flock there and think they are camping hahaha
could you tent camp on the other side of the lake?
Do you mind sharing the coordinates please
Great shots!
How much I love the rivers my brothers
Hi. can I make a fire here?
I visited Abraham lake before. But this spot is one of the greatest. Any chance you know the gps coordinates of this?
very nice area
Vlogytoo UA-cam channel Hi friend Wonderfull and beautifull lake ! Excellent coverage ! I want to share a video of this lake in south of France. I send you the link of this video. ua-cam.com/video/t7ChDoHS7tU/v-deo.html Kindly By

Look those up in nearby towns. Nordegg or Rocky Mountain House.
The best beautiful in world
Very nice videos
Amazing drone video. I was here about 2 weeks ago, this is a awesome place to camp..
Thanks! Was it busy? I'm wondering what it's like now with the new conservation pass for the area.
@@mattfitzgerald457 it wasn’t busy at all, I only just found out about that pass yesterday..
@@mattfitzgerald457 I went in July, August and October this year. It was very busy
@matt Fitzgerald hey buddy how is the quality if water there? Is boiling my water totally fine to drink and also should I bring a filtration system or do you think purification tablets are fine? Thanks looking forward to a response
Hi, I would recommend bringing a filter, I discovered little orange particles floating around in the water when I was there, also did not have any filtration setup which limited my use (washing dishes and bathing only).
What's the name of the campsite please to where we could stay. TIA
Hello, since this is crown land there are no campsites, the fun in coming here is that you can find your own place to camp at Abraham Lake. The main section is called the Abraham Lake viewpoint, that's where most campers enter and exit the lake but there are a lot of spots in other areas of the lake as well.
@@mattfitzgerald457 oh wow is that right thanks for the info!
Great drone video!! Looks really pretty!! We are planning a trip for next summer in Canada!! Do you recommend the tubing? Following along on your adventure!! We also post our travel videos on our channel!! Melissa from RV Rolling with MJ
I also took a drone footage at Cline River. Hope you like it ua-cam.com/video/RVkRneQx8a0/v-deo.html
Used to be such a great place. Unfortunately it was discovered by countless ignorant people . The amount of trash being left behind there is astounding.
have you been there recently? how was it
@@zena-te2ee absolutely packed. I was there last Friday stayed one night and moved on.
@@goeland70 bummer I've been wanting to go but I really want to be a alONe LLOL
That’s Alberta for you ! T- rash !
Hope you enjoyed your wild camping because now you will receive a fine if caught. Wild camping is no longer allowed in Alberta due to septic dumping and littering.
just need a pass and its all good.
@@20matrix20 yes I heard, hopefully people clean up after themselves.
@@DistractionPicklesEveryWheresimmer down there bud
Hi there, beautiful aerial shot. What drone are you using? We are planning to go there this july do i need a permit to fly my drone in there?.
Hello, I have a DJI Mavic Mini. It weighs 249g and therefore you don't need a drone certification to fly as it's under 250g. As for the area, it's crown land and not in a National or Provincial Park so you're good to fly!
Bill 64 coming June 1, 21, stops all camping this summer, seeing as there is a 90 day waitlist to pay for your pass.
From what I could find, the AB website says the passes would be available for purchase online at albertarelm.com or AlbertaRELM mobile app or at locations that sell fishing and hunting licenses. Sounds like it can be obtained instantly?
Was the bill passed? It looks like it made it to second reading and then sent to committee.
with Public Lands Camping Pass, you are allowed to camp from Grande Prairie to Waterton Lakes National Park
Wow the water is so blue!
Beautiful footage.
nice video , just wondering how to get to that place would you mind sharing the location in Abraham? or coordinates thanks
Thank you! It's the main camping/viewpoint section of the lake. 52.16655721857424, -116.46887847834489
@@mattfitzgerald457 can an SUV able to go to this spot?
amazing 👏 🙀 😮 do i need to book and pay for this campsite! thx
No need to book. Its a free camping site. Its a nice place for wild camp.
@@Jams.Squad.in.Canada there is no wild camping in Alberta. You're caught, and you get a fine. Permits only.
@@DistractionPicklesEveryWhere how much is the crown land permit ?
Could you pls share where or km did that location is ? I wanna go there next week and I love where u stood
I don't recall the exact spot on a map but it was the main crown camping section of the lake, you know you're in the right place as there's a couple of porta potties down the road a bit once you turn off the highway.

@@consueloag7792 yes we did ! We went there twice already loved
Amazing, thanks for sharing this video. I wanna visit this place this summer
You're welcome, it's definitely worth it! If you decide to camp it gets very busy in the summer months and you won't have much privacy. I would recommend finding a spot away from the main camping area where I stayed.
Thank you for the video.I love the Ice
Do you know if there’s actually fish in that lake?
With the amount of people that fish there, there had better be!
@@Beej1133 lol thanks. when the wife and i were there last fall we really only seen the atvs and sxs that frequent there
Very nice! I'm always impressed with footage the Mini produces. Love the orbit at the end. I really wanna start doing trips to fly around the David Thompson area. So many gorgeous spots!
