Caring For Lilith’s Regal Jumping Spiderlings
Thank you so much. We have a deserted baby pigeon on the balcony, and now we know how to feed it.
How often do you feed a pigeon of this age?. I just found one and Im trying to work it out.
Come get the one in my yard
I recently brought a deceased mom with her babies still nursing to a wildlife rehab. I was told they shouldn't be plucked off the nipples because the nipples can come off and go into their stomachs. I was also told that the mom's milk becomes toxic soon after she dies and so it's not always a good thing that the babies are still nursing. In the case I was involved with, there were 10 babies and they are all going to survive. I am so grateful that wildlife rehabs exist and grateful to the dedicated people stopping them. Always remember to make a donation to help them cover their expenses. My rehab had 10 tiny creatures to tend to after I left them with her.
Poor babies and momma! 🪽🪽🪽🪽🪽🪽 Great job saving the babies!
I check them regularly. I have only ever found pinkies, and out of 3 dead mommy's, only one batch was alive, the rehab center said they didn't make it 😢
Hi @Crowley Museum & Nature Center! :) ~ I am working on yt video project about Opossums and I was wondering if I could use some of your Opossum footage❓ (I would credit you of course!) 🙏
What was the formula? This demo really helps, thank you!
Make sure she's not playing dead.
I found baby opossums and me and my friend took care of them! Then when they Wher strong enough, we let them go it was so sad, but cute
Poor mother. However it is good that humanity is alive
Thank you so much 😭😭😭 I’ve been trying to find out where to look in case I come across a deceased mama. You provided vital information. I’m going to put together a “kit” to keep in my vehicle. Gloves, pillowcase or bin, flashlight, etc. Already have the phone number stored for wild life help in my area. Thank you for showing this even though it’s tough to watch.
What can I use if I can’t get KT exact? I’m in Australia and it’s not available
Thinking about all the dead opossums I've seen in my life and how many babies may have been killed because I didn't know this. 😔
What else could i use if I cant find the KT exact
5!
Thanks
I have read that it's best to take the deceased mother along with the babies to a Vet or wildlife rehabber.
She talks to clinical
Fixed spark plug
Opossum*
And to think they would starve to death if no one checked their deceased mother. May this reach more people. Sad, but very informative video.
aww that's very kind
Don't forget to change the air baffle position from summer to winter in cold weather on the ms291.
🤢🤮
Shit is dead with unknown cause of death why would u touch that🤢🤮 just let nature nature I don’t think this is the case of human intervention that would have surved a family of wild coyotes or eagle dearly. Opossums are not extinct
Just Nasty and without gloves
Thank u so much ! Got tears knowing now I could help this orphaned pair
God bless tó you
God Bless you, kind heart! ❤
Thank you for your help! had the same situation! I found a possum on the road. He was hit by a car. But I saw live babies in her pouch! I helped them! That was seven live babies! I took them to the shelter.
Wow. The ones I found today were even younger than those. I don't know if they'll make it but at least I was able to take them to an animal rescue.
Thank you for this video!
I will always check from now on.
Never mess with dead wildlife. Dead wildlife can carry lots of deseases like rabies or bubonic plague. You only need to be bitten once by one of them infected flee! Always stay well away from dead Possums!
Opossum don't carry rabies fyi
Watching this bc I saw a hit opossum on the road and went to move it so that scavengers wouldn't be hit next, and noticed there was little things scattered about that I at first thought were guts... It was a bunch of babies. About 8-10 of them. I touched them all and only one moved a little, they all were as cold as rocks but I have her now and will try getting her to a wildlife expert as soon as they open and answer in the morning. I've gotten her to potty a little bit but I'm worried. She's about as okd as the ones in ghis video if not days younger, eyes are closed and hardly any hair on her. I named this baby Tulip and she's moving around a lot. I really hope she makes it.
How it's going? Is (s)he ok?
Update?
Ty
When they are this tiny, do they need air holes? My babies just emerged from their egg sac and they are ready to be separated. I like your idea with the cups.
Advise you cover your hands with rubber or plastic. But well done on the rescue of those cuties. I'm sure they'll get plenty of TLC before they're released to live happy lives and assume their critical role in our environment.
Why because they might bite?
@@kawaii_hawaii222 Because their could be bacteria and insect vermin in or around the pouch.
I am so thankful for this video. I live in the south and I see dead possum this time of year.(spring) along the road a lot I am going to start checking for babies. There is no rehabilitation centers near me. I live out in the country. I’ll try it myself.
Thank you for this information because I never knew this before. Someone mentioned it in a comment on a UA-cam short, so I typed it in and your video popped up. It's very sad, but it would've been even more tragic if those five babies had perished as well, because of starvation or predators. 🙏❤️
I have the same two saws.
this woman is amazing
What?
They can all die with the mother if you ask me.
Hero.
