Holy shit. 20 years of 3dsmax experience and now I see you can use deformed spline for skinning... You can add Flex modifier onto some middle verts to get gravity and random bounces...

what did you do with those cylinders/rings? did they stay or did you remove them from the render?
those rings are just the dummies to control the rig. and yes I removed them from the render
