So... we bring up the ribber again for 2 sections, that are only 15 rows deep. I decided that breaking up the piece into 2 parts would be way easier then knitting ribbing on 97L and 97R.
The other issue with knitting the full bed is trying to seam off half of the hat, stopping, adjusting, and seaming again.
Added bonus - with only using half the needles I can have my camera way closer to the bed.

In this video we are using our knitting machine as a linker and seaming our work. One side then the other. I am using a large loop for a latch tool bind off, but you are more then welcome to just knit across on tension 10, then use a back stitch bind off for a different look. In this long video we are short rowing for the ears. This is the same method used for heels on socks. When we finish the ears we go right into the last section of knitting. That last section starts at 25L and 25R but we reduce the same number of stitches we increased before causing the piece to have a unique curve for those ears. We are still working our way through the body of this project. we have a few rows of straight knitting after we finish the decreases then we make 7 increases to get ready for the ears. We yarn mark 0, 18 and 25. and then remove the piece on waste yarn. This is a good spot to take a break, and get ready for short rows.

This is the first video of this series, we are knitting the collar ribbing and starting the simple stitches that go under the chin. In the little time we have we are just starting the reductions around the face. We are knitting in Tension 3-3 for the ribbing and tension 6 for the main parts of the project. There is no special stitches being used for this project.

Sleeve number 2 shocked me. it was also perfect. We had no stitches left over and no stitches missing. Again, we are knitting outward for only a few rows then we start knitting inward every 9 rows There are not differences.

This is the first Yoke sweater pattern to have a perfect sleeve stitch count on the first try. I am actually shocked. Once we get the increases done we start decreasing every 9 rows going down to 24 st L and 24st R

So... instead of knitting the collar on to the yoke, I like to knit the collar first. We are knitting 100st wide at tension 3. Do not use tension 3. Use tension 5 to 7. This is the first layer of the toddler sized yoke sweater. We are starting at 65L and 65R. We only have 8 rows to knit on this layer. I make a huge mistake after the first row of this piece. I did not mark center. Mark center on the piece - you need it to center the yoke for the front and back knitting. We end this video as we transfer the yoke onto a garter bar.
