Traffic nonsense caused by the the ongoing repair to the High Street - and the resulting carnage on Trout Road. All it would take is to change the timing of the lights right at the bottom of the road (presently they are green for around 15-20 seconds) or have someone on the bridge directing traffic... Utterly, utterly brainless.

Hey Jens! There are examples that periodically appear of ebay, but most seem to be in the US. If you are in Europe, it could be another 200 Euro or so just to ship it. I do check from time to time, and there was one selling at just over $1200 around a few months ago.

Looks nice. Just completed the Hobby Boss kit £69.99 from Amazon and found John Moore’s series of videos v helpful. Does the FOV feature casting dimpled top surfaces? It looks a bit on the smooth side.

Fully die-cast, with some plastic components. Finding one is getting harder, but items do become available periodically. Generally you would be looking at four figures in US dollars.

Some facts about Michael Wittmann: - He refused to receive the Knight's Cross unless his gunner Bobby Woll also received the award. Both got theirs. - He ordered his men to rescue a Russian tank crew engulfed in flames by padding them with bed rolls. They survived and were taken prisoner, with Wittmann ensuring they got the best medical treatment. - He valued his anti-tank gun kills more than his tank kills, because the former were the ones who knocked out the most German panzers as they were often well hidden. - He gave a speech to Henschel factory workers (who made Tiger tanks) in order to boost morale. - Prior to his death, he volunteered to lead the SS Tiger division despite being in reserve because the supposed leader couldn't cope with the situation.

The Tiger I tank will always hold a special place in my heart because it was the main reason that got me intrigued in the engineering and history of these armored vehicles. Just curious; can this particular model open up like the German King Tiger version? (no 85001) It would be so cool to see the inside of this beast and to see what made this kitty PURR xD

Like your review of the FOV 1/16 Tiger ! #222, this is a great review of the FOV 1/16 Tiger I #007. I was fortunate to get a #007 when it was re-released. My only complaint about the model is that the 88mm cannon will not stay up elevated.

Excellent, comprehensive review of the FOV 1/16 Tiger I #222. The cat's appearance was an additional plus---many years ago, we had a neighborhood cat that was always hanging around waiting for us to feed it and looked very similar to the cat in the video. I once saw a documentary or a reference book which stated that contrary to popular belief, Wittman was in a different Tiger at Villers-Bocage, not #222.
