I'm prefacing this by saying that I love listening to DD and Julian, loved them on Oneyplays. That being said, I think DD's biggest problem is himself back then, idk what's new. Not meaning it in a victim blaming way either. Without a doubt, harassment and mean spirited actions are 100% the responsibility of the d-bag displaying them. How you carry yourself through this is yours alone, tough or not. DD is not "NICE" from what I'm getting, he's "non confrontational" , huge difference. And of course when you don't set the record straight, you keep building up resentment and appear snippy and self deprecating. You can see it on Oneyplays, constantly antagonizing the viewers, preemptively claiming "they'll get mad at me/ spaz out" etc. it's like, no shit, self fulfilling prophecy. Just couldn't live and let live, seems like low self esteem. Volatile emotions too, from the sui attempt, that he got talked into going public about Arin's game. Not saying you need to agree with everyone, but definitely jusge your actions by their necessity, why the f donyou need to be public about the game? Have your own opinion but people can form their own opinions, why tell yourself you need to grind the axe? And then expect not to affect your standing where you work? Not excusing pettiness but follow the thought far enough instead of being impulsive... Ity like, he took a stand where is had zero impact on his personal life and then didn't when he should, instead of going straight to Arin or whoever the previous bosses were with his serious allegations, they would be forced to shut that down hard, whether they like you personally or not, they don't want that image on them. And worst case scenario, stop interacting and make your plans to change jobs IMMEDIATELY, DD just let unacceptable behaviors pile up and then assumes this "everyone against me" glum teenager stance. Imo anyways. Edit: also the thing about Matt, he's a grown a$$ man, he can decide whi he wants to hang out with. Maybe he doesn't like the attention you're drawing, maybe he wasn't that close a friend to stick it out. Just maybe, you're pushing him away wittingly or unwittingly. What point did it serve to call him out on stream? Just take the hint and move on, the ball is on his court to hit you up and if he doesn't you got your answer. Maybe not closure nor an explanation but a definite answer, if he wanted he'd be there. You just made people call him an a-hole wether you tell them not to harass him or not. Perfect example of what i mean by "me,me,me" mentality and "everyone against me", no self awareness of you own actions. And that doesn't mean Matt is a perfect friend who does no wrongs but neither is DD by the way. Everyone outside the relationship know nothing and sometimes in the relationship as well. Just calling out what i see in the public eye like the stream.

I don't like how this is being spun. DD & Julian are angry about how the office treated them for bringing up a professional concern about the Dream Daddy project and how the joke will land with actual gay people, as it likely did with them. And they're right, the office shouldn't have treated them like that. I'm sure in that time, nobody in the office even had a clue how this could be an issue, so it probably came off to them like people trying to be melodramatic and starting shit. But in typical twitter fashion the narrative being crafted out of this is "Game Grumps are anti-LGBT!" People, these are comedians. All of this is about is a barely-risque joke in a time where FAR WORSE was all the rage, and the office misinterpreted the concern as them trying to tear down all the work they did on the project, all because they couldn't take a joke. And that's where the office misinterpreted them, because they clearly can take a joke. It was supposed to be just a professional concern raised based on the slights they probably felt. But in typical comedy sphere fashion, when you stand in the way of a comedian and his joke, there's gonna be problems. That's not an excuse, that's just the reality of the comedy sphere. But don't spin DD & Julian's message either, it's not about large-scale LGBT or communities or any of that, all they were talking about is how they were misinterpreted and mistreated once they brought up a concern, nothing more. DingDong, TwoMad, And all the Lex stuff even if it isn’t as bad as it was reported, he has a track record now. “SuperMega is my Magnus Opus” probably was true. Who knows about Ryan, he seems like the quiet follower sometimes.
