Agreed the bushings are crap

Same problem definitely would have worked if you drilled out the middle and connected with something that way. How’s the car in oil they have an engine defect from that year even a recall because the engine burns off the oil The car runs you just got to keep feeding it oil

I had to melt my plastic bushing but it worked very well. Didn't grease it up tho . Still working after 6 weeks

Did this today on a 2010 and it sucks azz those bushings were cheap kept popping off after putting on and wipers goung wrong way lol took off and on 20 times or more best thing is JUST BUY A NEW ASSEMBLY instead of wasted hours trying to figure it out😂 oh if the motor is good you can just buy the linkage save a few dollars

So o'reilly's said that part number for the bushings only fits.Nissan, it's not for the twenty fifteen chevy.Equinox

I have a 15 equinox wipers stopped working in heavy downpour. Checked the fuses, those are good next checking the bushings

Where in the hell were you able to find the wiper linkage bushings I've been looking for the wiper transmission bushing everywhere and cannot find it. Can you please tell me where you found them

You do know Chevrolet and GM have a recall on this problem. They will fix it for free.

Hey put the nylon bushings in boiling water for a few minutes makes pushing them in easier

The company sent a recall letter for the windhield wiper failure , they will fix free

What well they chged at a shop to do this?

Soaking the new plastic piece in boiling water for 3 min. will make it go in without breaking

Thanks for the tip man Good video I found out too it's a little easier if you heat it up with a heat gun you can push it on by hand worked out for me I broke the first two.lol

Just had the same problem. Though I just Mickey Moused it for now - using thick rubber bands to keep it from popping out. I'll deal with actually replacing it in the spring.

This was a good idea but your original video on how to fix it worked for me it's just that I used a different part number for the bushings and when I pushed it on it popped off like it did with yours so I took a clamp and clamped it on and then it stayed on for good

I'm too late, but there is actually a recall for these on 2014-2015 Equniox and GMC. They will replace the entire assembly free of charge.

Same BS with the 2016 equinox., that’s what the hell I get for buying a car cuz I thought the name was cool.

This is happening to me now., there is a huge amount of ppl and a way for them to replace it all.

You dont need to put grease, thats why it pops off. it goesin dry

I just ordered a new one Fam 😩 from all the compliments I've seen replacing bushings isn't worth it cuz they break so easily. I have 2012 Terrain I've been waiting for these things to break since I've seen the recall but not on mine only 2013- 2015 are recalled! Of course they broke on the worst day possible biblical rain at least they 🛑 while I was pulling into work. Easy enough to fix diy but poor design by GM. Rubbish ass Suv!!!

There is A recall on 2014 and 2015 Equinox for this very reason, you get A free repair.

I had a recall notice. They fixed it. 75,000 on car at time of repair. Ford is just as junk as the rest.

I say buy a Honda or Toyota product.

Dorman 49449 bushings are for Nissan products, probably why they have popped off for the 10th time

Maybe if you use the RIGHT SIZE Bushing it would Work, Changed the one on my Wife's car 4 Years Ago, No Problem, Also, I'd Take my Silverado over that Piece of Crap F ix O r R epair D aily Any day of the Week! Compare the Equinox to the Ford Escape if you want to do Comparisons and you'd find that the Escape is a BIGGER Piece of Shit that the Equinox!

Just found your video because I got a recall notice for our 2015 Equinox for this same issue. We haven't had this issue, but after seeing your video and some others, I'll definitely be looking into the fix/replacement.

How do u keep the blades from goin the opposite directions

I owned a 1979 Plymouth Horizon the 4-speed gear shift lever bushing similar to the wiper arm bushing would break and pop off and you were stuck in whatever gear you were in after numerous times of returning with this problem they said they put in a stronger bushing but my car was the only one doing this hmmm so they made a stronger bushing just for my car. right! that was the last Chrysler vehicle i owned!

My rodeo I had the same issue after a while it just kept popping off again And those little plastic things were hard to get in
