When you paid 500 rupees fine, it reminded me of my first trip to Goa many years ago. I remember it was a ground floor apartment with a swimming pool in front very close to candolim beach. I travelled by activa scooter to most of the popular beaches in north goa, riding a scooter alone on the hills and crossing the big bridges with eagles flying over your head. Back then I was too young and didn't even have facial hair so I guess that's why I was stopped and asked for my driver's license. When traveling on a budget losing 500 rupees is BIG. After my first trip to Goa carrying a trolley bag I saw foreigners carrying a backpack with yoga mat. So now I have a good backpack and sleeping bag
