I'm gonna sound like a bot, but lemme explain this dynamic. Sonic and eggman, moreover "maurice and "Ovi Kintobor", were lab partners and good friends at a time, but due to events that I'm not gonna explain cuz Sega probably retconned it, they became "Enemies". But I see them as more of a serious rivalry. Like egg man explained, they both have the power to kill eachother, but they don't because if they did, they'd be bored all the time. Sure, bored one is a factor, but I think its more than that. I think sonic and eggman still care about eachother. Or rather. Maurice and Ovi still care about eachother. I think that deep down, they know who each other are, and that's what's keeping them from killing eachother. Thank you for your time, don't report me I'm not a bot.

I feel like a lot of Sonic fans-specifically the vocal minority on the Twitter side-tend to overemphasize characterization of the cast over the actual stories being told in the games and everything THEY grew up with being better than the current day Sonic stuff we get Like both story and characterization should work in tandem with each other and I find it hard to care about the former if the latter falls flat That and this bizarre intense hatred over every interpretation of Sonic that isn’t Game Sonic (2003) - I do agree that the core of his character should be consistent but he’s allowed to be different in different mediums, this is a 30+ yr old franchise with different creatives working together, not everything is gonna be 1:1 with a specific era of the series. Every other character in fiction changes and grows over time, why should Sonic be the exception? Forgive the yap session, solid video!

In my opinion, I’d say Sonic X was the best anime adaption including the opening movie from Sonic Riders, Sonic CD and the official OVA movie we got from 1996!!! But for my other opinion, I really love Sonic Frontiers and SxS Generations for the best storyline and the music!

Oh my god jonathan's music when Rouge is finding her resolve in the beginning gave me chills. It was perfect. That brother Shadow is LEAKING, and its simultaneously horrifying artwise but also SO COOL to hear the sfx and see the intense editing. Amazing job on that portion in particular. I was wondering why Shadow woke up saying "C" but then realized they were playing a game before he fell and Ashdgdjd im gonna fucking scream. Excellent continuity on the artist/author's part. LOVE that. The voice acting in intense moments (yelling, screaming, arguments) was fucking perfect. God bless. Overall I feel like the production between just the first and second episode stepped up a ton. Like, we're really stepping into the motion comics bag here. Even just the way the panels snap together. Even the comic itself. Maybe I just didnt notice before, but I super appreciate the artist's use of gradients and the color design is super aesthetic/pleasing to the eye. Theres a simultaneous sharpness and softness. Now.... THAT ENDING CLIFFHANGER WAS BATSHIT INSANE cant wait for the next ep and love the direction this project is headed in overall!!!!
