If you've driven a compact car or sedan, you know how easy it is to damage the front bumper and cause it to hang and drag. That has happened here to my 1994 Acura Integra RS, so I'm going to do what I can to fix it.

I like the over all design, particularly the use of the struts which are fantastic. But there are a few tweaks I would probably make. The first one that came to mind, was that maybe I want to charge with the lid closed, with something else stacked on top. You could cut some holes in the side of the Packout and attach standard PC cooling fans for airflow allowing the box to be closed while still in use, you can even put some filter material over the openings to prevent it from sucking in a ton of dust. The other thing is that the cable might be convenient in some ways, but I think it would end up inconvenient in others. I would probably opt for a C13 socket on the back, and put a couple of cord wrapping hooks inside the case to store a cable. My key rationale for this, is that I would almost certainly want a power distribution system for my Packout stack - such as a power bar mounted to the wheeled bottom box or hand truck. In such a case, I would keep a standard C13 cord connected to the power bar so that I could plug in my charging station but could easily unplug from the back of the charging station and move it without needing to find where the other end of the cord plugged in. Finally, when I saw the dummy plug I initially thought you were going to do something slightly different than what you did. That extension cord you had had 3 outlets but you only needed two. You could actually run a short extension from the third outlet to an externally mounted socket just to give yourself an extra place to plug something else in.

I've been looking at that box since it came out, wondering how could I use it. Now I know, so I suppose I'll be adding to my Packout collection. I would probably skip cable management in favor of power distribution blocks.

Well done! It's a bummer we can't get these from milwaukee meanwhile FLEX gets it and has brackets available that adjust to all their charger styles for the inner lid of their STACK PACK. Wanna make me one? LOL, seems straight forward the only killer is most people don't own a 3D printer for specific things like those spacers for the struts.

I vastly prefer rapid chargers. That's why I don't like the packout light, too. There's 3 levels of chargers. They even have a supercharger, but it's thicc. I use the same box for batteries, unmodded. It holds my rapid charger in a 2x1 slot, 2 18v 8.0ah, and 4 18v 5ah, with the insert still inside. Which I haven't sorted yet but I might be able to toss 12v batteries in it. I have the big 12v batteries though, I think 4 or 6ah. I use mine to take batteries off the job. It's like a 600 dollar box, not including the 12v Batts if they fit.

This was really sweet idea, too bad I just recently got into Packouts around November 2023 so I’m sure you already did the giveaway. I wouldn’t change a single thing about this at all, if anything I would add a heating device too it if your taking it out with you to work and it’s cold. An old worn out or damaged Milwaukee hoodie/jacket. Take the guts and you get the rest of the idea, I’ve seen someone recently line/heat up their Packout. Great for epoxy and batteries. Same concept! 👊👊👊🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Milwaukee sells the M12/M18 6 port rapid charge station already so at first glance this doesn't seem all that useful, but since this is enclosed I could see this being of value if you insulated and fully waterproofed the box. Then you wouldn't have to worry about having your batteries out in the elements
