Mercedes C300 seat cover replacement
Переглядів 9621 день тому
I bought a cheap seat cover on ebay so I can replace the ripped one. My seats are heated and I didn't realize the heater pad is sewn into the OEM seat. I tried cutting it out of the OEM seat but it didn't work after trying to reuse it, it was working before I put the new cover on. I'll likely have to get a new heater pad to replace this one in the future.

2010 c300 thermostat replacement. To access the thermostat the serpentine belt also gets removed which I show. I stopped at the end just before putting the bolts in because I actually broke one by over tightening it. Be careful, next time I’d also get new bolts to go with the new housing.

I’m sharing the lock replacement on an undercover elite tonneau cover. This is a 2015 F150 with the hard cover tonneau. RealTruck customer service sold me the replacement lock which is for the factory key. No instructions with the replacement. My original lock failed in the locked position, had to hit it with a rubber mallet several times to then have a small pin drop out of the lock mechanism.
Craftsman LT2000 drive belt replacement

Changing the drive belt on a craftsman LT2000 lawn mower. Lessons learned: 1. You need to order the MTD brown OEM belt as I state in the beginning of this video. The aftermarket belts will make it difficult to shift and you won’t be able to stop with the brake. These aftermarket belts keep spinning even when the break is applied. I did this job twice because of the belt. 2. You don’t need to re...

Where is the fuse for the side markers this stupid company doesn’t explain it on the relay diagrams
@@ElysianConcepts I found this thread with a diagram. mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w204/666400-fuse-number-location-side-marker-lights.html It doesn’t specify say side marker but in the trunk #13 would be the one I try.
Sorry, not in the trunk, under the hood, fuse box on the driver side.
@@petespit9169 saw this wasn’t helpful they don’t answer the question thank you for the effort
I just replaced my drive belt on a Craftsman T1600. It's the exact same as yours. However i tipped the mower on its right side to make it easier. I didn't have to upside down. Just be extra careful to not lose the nut and washer that goes through the deck. I wish I would have seen your video sooner. Good job.
@@jean-louislependu4790 I feel like they could have made this so much easier. Especially for a maintenance type item we all eventually have to do.
Your instructions and video are very clear. The other people I watched just said do this and that but didn’t really show what happened and how to do it!
Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
Thanks i should be able to wear a blind fold. LOL
Where did you find yours at?
@@justinburks7949 The lock can be ordered from realtruck.com. They own undercover now.
I have a 2010 c300 luxury 4 matic & it looks completely different when you take cover off under the hood😭
You gave me some good pointers there on where to start and what to ignore. Very helpful and saved me an hour or more of just scratching my head. Lol thank you
So, did this fix the surge you were experiencing? My car is doing the same and I'm considering this.
@@labratflowhoodz I’d get some hesitation for a few seconds if cruising at about 40mph. If it gets bad you’ll get misfire codes and a check engine light. Changing the coils fixed that.
I’ve had very good luck with the 8ten belts and not any problems on alot of different riders and most were MTD and YPA
Antizee the bolts and shafts For sure if you pressure wash your equipment 😮
Next time use some aluminum foil to create a slide for the filter oil.
Good video. Good details. I have a t 1400 Craftsman and I'm the process of changing my drive belt now. Unfortunately my old one broke completely so I'm having a hard time finding a diagram and instructions to adequately describe the problems I'm running into. You have pretty much the identical system and set up as mine. I guess I got lucky and took the right pulley off as I found that nut and it was driving me crazy trying to figure out where that nut goes because it definitely did not fit that bolt. That is crazy that they use a threaded nut as a spacer rather than just a smooth spacer. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks for the video, Hopefully you do a follow up to show the results .
@@charleschapman2428 Results were good! The MTD belt fixed my issue. I wasn’t going to add another video, I probably could eventually add an update at the end showing the shifting being smooth and the brake now holding. It’s like new again.
Great Video…I did this a few times before I invested $65 in an oil evacuation system on Amazon. No more jacking the car up. Suck it out of the dipstick tube. They are awesome.
Unfortunately, you can't just put any V belt of the right length on those lawn tractors. They were designed to use the Kevlar reinforced V - belts which are far stronger than normal V belts. Not only that, some tractors have special V pulleys which are designed for use with wider V belts to give them more surface contact area, so that they can handle more power without breaking or wearing out in a couple of years from being overstressed. Just any V belt won't work in such special V pulleys. You must use the special wider, heavier Kevlar reinforced V belt designed for them. The tractor often has the part number of the belts on a label stuck to the inside of the hood. The new belt should have that number printed on it when you get it. As long as the belt has the correct part number printed on it, you can buy it wherever you can get it the cheapest. They are usually pretty expensive, but can last for many years, unless the mower is being used commercially, which they aren't really designed for.
@@billsimpson604 I learned that the OEM belt from MTD is needed. Even though the Amazon belt was the same part number it just caused issues as it didn’t “slip” enough and always wanted to go. This problem also wore out my brake pad but that was a quick $7 fix. Hopefully this OEM MTD belt will last 10 years like the original.
Or just pull the tensioner pulley and not remove anything
@@60below04 Where is the tensioner pulley, please share that detail.
@@petespit9169 out of the three pulleys that are on the transaxle, it's the one on the front that's got the spring on it. It actually supposed to move back and forth and keep tension if it's set up like my Craftsman
@@60below04 On my LT2000 that tensioner you mention is for the small belt above the drive belt it’s not applying any tension on the drive belt. Tension on the drive belt comes from the brake. You apply the brake and tension is released when the pulley assembly moves with the brake. You let off the brake and the tension increases.
I sure appreciate the not where you tell where to get cheap could, thought I'd really have to pay$300
The bulb holder is not accesible, you may beed pliers to take it out
Wuts the caliber socket size
@@sha_dollaz5529 My video on the rear brakes I said it was a #7 Allen head socket, I think the front is the same.
How do you for certain its the blower motor, my heat and ac wont blow, and when i turn it on that fan wont spin so im sure thats what it is
@@calebadair6016 it does sound like that’s the issue. When my blower motor went out is was winter, I could faintly feel heat coming through the front window defroster and I could smell the heat but just wasn’t getting airflow from the vents. If it was making noise while running before it stopped working that’s an indicator of the motor being the problem. Also if you remove the cabin air filter cover which I show in the video you can try to give the motor a spin while it’s on. If the bearings are corroded then they won’t be able to spin off the initial power on cycle and you may be able to help them by spinning the motor from the cabin air filter box. This would help confirm it’s the motor, but if it doesn’t start it still seems to be the issue. I’d suggest getting a new one and plugging it in to check, then if it is just finish the installation. I’m sure you can check voltage and other electrical things when trying to troubleshoot but the easy way is to plug in a new one.
I’m lazy so I grind shaft a little too get socket on 7/8 nut, works great 😊
Thank you! Made the job super easy!
Post the links for O-rings & Oil/filter
I always get the oil change kit from FCP euro. Looks like they changed the filter in the kit since I last did an oil change. Here is a link to the filter in their oil change kit, all o-rings are included with the filter. www.fcpeuro.com/products/mercedes-engine-oil-filter-hengst-2701800109
Thank you
This is a good and thorough guide on changing the coil-on-plugs. I just bought a 2000 LS-V8 and within a week the engine would begin to falter. The code from the OBDII showed the #4 spark plug/coil. I changed it and now it works okay, but all the other coils are original so I ordered the rest. Whoever worked on this engine did a sloppy job, so I have my work ahead of me but I think it is worth the challenge. Thanks again for this video on how to get to the rest of the plugs & coils.
I have to ask is there a filter that needs changing and is there a fuse for the blower? I been having issues with mine for a few months and it doesn't even seem to work but before I replace it I want to makes sure. Also can you give me an estimate price of a new one.
There is a cabin air filter but it shouldn’t cause the blower not to work. There is probably a fuse for the blower, I’m not certain where it is. FCP euro has some options for the blower, just check the website. I bought the cheap one from them, they have a good warranty.
My parking lamp isnt working. Ebat should i do? How can i replace those bulbs?
I’ve got the “check front left parking lamp “ error too right now. Open the hood and there are two small dust covers above the low beam dust cover. Hard to see them but you can feel the tab on the dust cover and get two fingers on it to turn it. I think the bulb pulls straight out vs twisting.
@@petespit9169 oh thank you so much
Horrible engine bay design
will filter housing drain by itself or did u do it manually?
Drains by itself. I just remove the cap and pull the filter.
Do you always replace both sides? Is the rear tail light the same process?
I always replace both sides. My thought is that the bulbs are technically meant to have the same life, so if they were put in at the same time it’s likely that the other side is also close to the end of its life. The rear taillights are accessible by opening the trunk and removing the trunk liner just behind the lights. It’s been a while since I did this one. All bulbs are on a rack, the rack can be pulled back, all bulbs are inserted into the rack and then the rack is reinserted. I don’t think there is a rear side marker on the car…it’s not with me right now so I can’t check.
Thank you for the very informative video Pete. Knowing where to access the lamp was key. 🙂
Easy? Hmmmm
Did you get a msg in the dash to check left right fog lights?
No, no messages after changing them.
I want to install h11 fog on my 2011 w204 c180 without makeup, are you sure?
Mine is a 2010 luxury. I bought H7 but after taking the bulb out saw they were H11 and returned the H7 to Amazon for H11 replacements. Best way to be sure what’s in there is to open it up and take out the bulb. My manual didn’t say what the fog lights were.

@@petespit9169 Hello, I bought H11, but it did not fit, the nails were small, where can I find out the h code, can you help me?
@@fatihcatal692 hi, was there a bulb that was removed? Usually they have a bulb number on them. Mercedes didn’t make a w204 c180 in 2011 in the US. The w204 was the generation three class from 2008-2014, only C300, C350, and C63. I get a lot of parts from FCP Euro, they also don’t show an option for a 2011 c180 when searching. www.fcpeuro.com

Where did you place the jack at?
I lift the vehicle with the jack under the rear differential. Then put the jack stands in front of the rear tire on either side. Look under the vehicle in front of the rear tire where the rocker panel ends. You should see a pad that is used as a jacking point. If you don’t have jack stands you can jack each side up using these jack points just in front of the rear tire, just have to complete everything on one side put the tire back on and go to the next side.
so do we just leave the sparkplugs in?
You can change them if they have been in for a while. The owners manual or maintenance schedule might say when to change them. Could be around 100k miles.
Did it gave u any codes on dash, I believe those led bulbs are not canbus
No no codes.

Did this X5 have the Electric parking brake motor?
Yes it does.
Grease fitting 😂
Ha! Don’t grease it….that’s the bleeder.
brake fluid fitting
Good video, especially for one handed. Drain bolt needs a good tighten, the copper washer gets pressed a bit. The oil filter wrench, use the cap fitting one where possible. The strappy one exert a sideward force. Check the oil level only on a flat level surface. You can move your collection pan before tightening, no fun dropping tools in those 😂 Be very very careful with oil above belts. Not criticism, just bits for other car people.
I think I watched all of the videos on UA-cam regarding removing the W204 blower motor before attempting it myself. None of the videos properly explain the pink/purple connector. It would make sense that the pink/purple connector needs to be pulled down towards the floor, but the connector actually needs to be pushed up towards the blower. You can do this by pressing a small tab in the middle of the pink/ purple connector.
Stark makes a superb replacement. It cheaper than OEM but not really cheap either. Its also as powerful as the OEM. Many good deals push very little air.
You show in the video LED H7 for a 2010 Mercedes C300 but when you click on the link you put it takes you to H11B. Is the H11B fit for the 2010 Mercedes c300?
They are H7’s that I installed. Maybe the seller doesn’t have them anymore so it’s defaulting to what they have. Search H7 and see who has them, H7 is the right fit. There is also a list in the manual of bulbs if you have a manual, you can double check there.
These LEDs leave a round black circle in the middle of the road because that tip of the LED light is too big in round
I cannot for the life of me get the motor out . nothing is connected i tried pulling the tab up. wont budge
Someone commented that the tab needs to be pulled down, you said you tried pulling the tab up. Maybe you tried both…
The only this jerk is good for is unscrew and screw back the cover. Wire connectors just destroyed and being shoveled under and left hanging. Awful
Idiot didn’t tell the most difficult parts how to remove wire connectors and where is the knob which does not let motor to rotate.
It's my second day struggling with putting the blower back on the car. I can't rotate it back into the lock position. It sticks out and can't get in place.
There is a good tab that is just about opposite the duct port. A few people said they had to pull it down to get the motor off. Wondering if that is causing the issue.
Great video
I know ur changing all of them bit I would like to know the numbers

Great video with step by step instruction that are extremely easy to follow, THANK YOU!!! My only question would be. If your in that deep already, why would you not change your spark plugs also? Since it seems such a time consuming job. I think I'd change out my plugs also. With my luck if I didn't change plugs. On the coil test ride I would probably foul a plug, lol. Thanks again!!!
