Beautifully filmed. Presuming that's the River Goyt, a dirty river when I was a lad but much cleaned since those days. Is the mill the old Birch Vale printworks, was part of the Calico Printers Association?

If you go to old-maps.co.uk and look at the area, it seems to be the site of a former quarry. Also, look at www.fivenine.co.uk/family_history_notebook/background/Cheshire/The%20Story%20of%20Rainow/story_of_rainow.html There’s a paragraph under the coal mines sections that mentions Big Low and the shafts dug there.

It has been broadcast that it passed an examination of its integrity recently, really, someone must be held accountable. The potential loss of property now, but if people had not noticed the potential for loss of life was a real danger.

No wonder it failed considering the state it was in. Was only given the OK in November as well.

I was there in January. Drove from Glossop over Chunal to Hayfield and eventually to Buxton. Beautiful sunshine after the snow. Everything crisp and white. Nice work with your drone.

Great footage of an area I know well - having at one time lived in Glossopdale for 25 years :) At full screen resolution it looks as though you shot that footage in 4K? Comes out really well. A shame about the props obscuring the footage on part of the video - I guess it might have been pretty windy up there. Keep up the good work, thanks for the share.
