How long until they fogged up the lens?
I haven’t had that truck for years now so I can’t answer that
You were working on an updated harness. Is it done?
@@RonNelson-y1r no sir I don’t manufacture these. I just made a video about it. They were offered by the HondaSxS.com forum, but I’m not sure if they’re still offered. I sold my Talon a few years back and haven’t kept up with the accessories for them.
Hey, installed the harness and now my clutch temperature indicator is blinking… what going on? Also the check engine light is on.
Edit- I connected the reversed trigger wire from the chase light to the accessory positive wire and it stayed chase light light stayed lit, am I doing something wrong?
Does anyone know how to find parts for that back flap on the tailgate? I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find the parts for this cover. The previous owner closed the tailgate and has mangled mine
I have to open it to shut the tailgate is the deal breaker, but nice cover and slightly cheaper than G2
Great job. But why did you run your return line to the back and not tap into the front? Just asking thank for the video is it worth it to have heat?
Do you have to take the tires off or no?
Like exactly on point
Mine looks identical to yours
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
Will this system work with a bed extender?
I can’t answer what exactly it is/isn’t compatible with since there are so many different brands and sizes. I did, however, have one built into my Krash Offroad cage that you can see in a different video if that potentially helps.
what is the tread pitch on the lower bolt on the knuckle?
Did you hook up the drainage tubes at the front ? I have a bed liner and not sure how that’s going to work
@@Rick-yq8kj no I didn’t and water intrusion has not been an issue for me. However, to make sure you have realistic expectations I don’t mean that I have ZERO water that ever gets into the bed. It’s just such a small amount that it runs out the front drains of the bed or it runs to the back and out under the tailgate in between the raised parts of the bed where the bed has stamped ribs.
Hi Jason, Thanks for doing this great video. We shared it on the Inferno Cab Heaters Facebook page today. Thanks again!
Man, I was loving your content - Curious, why did you quit uploading? Did you sell your Talon?
Thank you - yes, I sold it back in 2021 and had a Turbo S after that which has also been sold. Currently I don't have a SxS at all and entering a different stage of life where it doesn't make sense to have one for the time being. I've considered starting to make videos on other things (property maintenance at our new place, DIY projects, etc...) but haven't found the gumption to get back to it.
@@Jason____ Got it. I can relate. I'm going through a phase right now and recently purchased a 24 Talon. I'm starting to realize I may not have the time I originally thought I would to enjoy it, but I'll probably pay it off this year and keep it for special events, family and friends to enjoy etc. You're a natural at YT, so I suspect you'll do well if you kept at it, but I understand that you need the 'drive' to make it worthwhile.
Don’t buy there stuff I ordered a set of radius rods in October and it was cold so I went to install them on Saturday and there employees gave me the wrong bushings I was told they would not make it right I was to pay for there mistake over a 20$ part !!!!!!! Right to ZRP I go !!!!!! This story will be told to everyone I know for sure !!!!
Hello, Are you interested in testing our products? We would like to invite you to test the Scratch-Resistant Windshield for your 2017 RZR XP 1000
I appreciate the offer, but I don’t have the machine anymore to be able to participate.
@@Jason____ Ok, thank you let me know
@@Jason____ Hello, would you be willing to test our Front Windshield for your 2019 Honda Talon 1000R?
Let us know how it works. Thanks
I have it i change mine 1500 miles
The smarter safer way to test for binding is to spin the wheel by hand.
Is thr talon loud interior wise ? I havw the wolverine now and its pretty loud
I haven't ridden a Wolverine for comparison, but I'd say a Talon is pretty average for a SxS. None of them are going to be quiet like a car.
How did you make the two spring suspension?
I just recently purchased a brand new talon r1000-4. I know your videos are 3 to 4 years old and that you have sold this talon a long time ago. I have been watching all your old videos. You install the best aftermarket/oem accessories, but only have videos on some of them. What extended fender flares did you have on this talon? You stated the shock thearpy springs was your best upgrade. I couldnt believe you bought the upper doors then changed out the cage. Buy a new sxs and start doing some videos! Great job!
Hey Michael - I had RokBlokz fender flares on it. I actually had a '21 Turbo S after the Talon and didn't make any videos on it, but it was built to the gills. I just sold that machine a couple of months back and will be out of the sxs game for the foreseeable future. My wife and I got married last year and are wanting to start a family so it's time to reprioritize some things. I'd venture to say I'll have another one once we've got kids old enough to enjoy it with. Enjoy your new machine.
I wish you guys would stop skipping the process for the drl lights. It would have been helpful to video the actual process.
does this work for a 4 door?
Hello I know this video has been out a while, do you know if I just install a fuse relay box to the winch cables, do the relays cut power to the rocker switches or do I need a kill switch tied in? I am trying to wire the speakers and light bar onto a bigger fuse and leave the rock lights and whip lights on the pre wires accessory harness without having to add another battery.
Need to find a bottom base for the Packout stuff for the bottom of the YETI. Anyone see that anyplace?
Milwaukee sells a cooler that clips in
@@matthewmccarthy312 I'd like to find the base mount that I can screw into the bottom of my box and on the rack of my smaller ATV so can clip stuff on.
@@TinkeringWithTim Milwaukee part 8488
@@matthewmccarthy312 That looks like just a work surface not one of those bases that would "accept" the tool boxes?
@@TheMacGuys you would have to screw this to the bottom of whatever you want to use.
That blue plug where do you get that harness your using for key on power
It was from a local Rural King, but was just a 2-pin waterproof connector. Amazon has tons of similar options that are sold as pigtails like these: www.amazon.com/JRready-Automotive-Waterproof-Connectors-connectors/dp/B09MMBCHC4/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=GW5L7G085MGA&keywords=waterproof+2+pin+pigtail&qid=1689192041&sprefix=waterproof+2+pin+pigtail%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1
Great video. Thank you!
Unable to find it
Are you making any more videos??
I won't have any new Talon videos since I sold the machine a while back. I may start making some videos again on various subjects, but I'm not certain when that'll be exactly.
@@Jason____ thanks for all that you have shared. Best wishes
Bro why give up so easy
Thank you. You just saved me a lot of headache figuring this out on my own. How do you like the headlights??? My third set of aftermarket ones and decided to spend the money (500) and get a real nice set. Do they live up to the price???? No moisture? No chipping on housings???
Can you install aftermarket exhaust without tunning or you need to tune it before install thanks.
Where did I get one of those books?!
It’s called a service manual. Contact your local Honda dealer and tell them you’d like to buy a paper copy of the service manual for your machine’s make and model.
Hey Jason. I ran a set of LED cube lights on my Pioneer using the OEM backup beeper harness. The cube light at some point had an issue and because of the ground being used to make and break the circuit, caused the computer to get confused about what gear the transmission was in and would go into limp mode. Lesson learned, buy higher quality LED lights.
I want to see what wire they tap off of from that 8 pin connector plug you purchased . I think it is the gray wire that is spliced into. I made my own reverse switch that will handle a hi watt lights for reverse light and side lights , etc without tapping into the trans harness. I used a Much higher rated switch and lighted up my center column where the gear shifter is . Thanks for the video .
I am a deer hunter. Would a gun case fit using the extender. Could you provide a diagonal measurement? Thank you!!
Sold the machine a while back so I don’t have it anymore
Do you still have the rear triangle shape fabric and if so would you like to sell them
I do not have them anymore
i think his oversize tires are taking some "performance " away, clutch kit or not , bigger tires in theory would give you more top end less bottom end, on a gear or shaft driven but with belt / torque converter, (too many variables to list) the bigger tires not only add weight but also more power to turn ect.rpms curve is different with different sized tires ect. ect,. i would say if he had same size tires on both and same clutching ect he would've gapped more shorthand
I had a soft flip on a 2019 ranger and never had any water come into the bed. I now have a 2023 Ranger with the ford hard fold and water leaks in so much I do not want to put my beg rug in. water drains down the rail in the rear, you can see the rail is open and water drips into the rear of the bed. The folds are always moist and drip water into the bed. The closing of the gate is also an issue with me as mentioned, my soft top was not a issue. hope this helps someone.
It was a rev cover from ford?
i have same truck and cover wondering if i can install a backrack with this cover and if yes can i still flip all the panels up to use the whole bed
I can't answer that question so I won't be able to help you there.
where did you get the wiring harness?
Did you do the full lock test before the rack? The i4WD could very easily be programmed to turn off the inside wheel on a sharp turn to help it turn.
Super helpful video man. Much appreciated
How do u like the spray in bed liner?
I like it a lot. I wouldn’t go back to a drop in liner.
I'm going to try this. The 'official' particle separators are expensive enough I would rather just keep replacing the OEM filter. Anyway if this gets to be a hassle then I might try rigging up some external snorkel and putting the filter outside the box. If I get to dislike that I might get a small tractor pre filter. I used to drive a wheat combine and it was the dustiest job of all time. We had a pre filter on it and it did a pretty good job. I can probably buy a small one for about $40 however I don't think I will need to.
I have the exact same cover and had it installed by dealer ($1400) when I bought my 2019 supercrew and over time... i hate it. Having to lift it every time I close the tail gate is a PITA. Its also counter intuitive to fold as you have to pull down on the cable release while you pull up on the cover...another PITA. I have heard theyh made a design change so that you no longer have to lift to close tail gate. I found your post while searching for info on that update. Glad you like yours but as mentioned im sick of mine.
I had someone give me an Honda pen aluminum bumper but if doesn’t have the struts that the winch mounts to. Any idea if they can be purchased separately
have you had any problems without running a 2nd battery? is the stock battery keeping up with everything?
I don’t have the machine anymore, but I did add a secondary battery while I still owned it. I added it shortly after making this video.
Update video?
Thanks!
