    Ive had the unfortunate luck of making Bulwark my main class to try to get the max level trophies. Honestly? I would switch Decapitation and Vox Liberatus. Some parts in Decap are *brutal* imo when you have nothing but a pistol, like the tower bomb section. Especially when the game decides to be a jerk and spawn two Zoanthropes

    The Hive Tyrant is also my favorite mission. I like to think how much worse it would be to fight the tyrant if we didn’t drop a building on it first

    Decapitation objectively the best mission. Vox is actually great for speed running and leveling up fast.

      Agree with Vox. Can skip so many waves just by running past, and the dodge window for the final boss' attacks are so generous. Not sure why people say that Inferno is easiest to grind xp

    Fighting the Tyranids feels normal, but fighting the Thousand Sons feels off. Because they don't feel lore accurate. Not in their combat capability, but just in their deployment. In table top, the army requires Sorcerers in order for the Thousand Sons to effectively operate, after all the bulk of the army is automata entombed in their armor thanks to Ahriman trying to halt the corruption of the Warp when they fled their home planet in the face of the Space Wolves onslaught. You'd think that they'd use WAY more Sorcerers. And I don't even think Tzeentch has cults that follow him. Most cults usually end up following the other three Dark Gods. Tzeentch is the God of Chance and being an unpredictable twat. The emphasis of demons would be greater than the emphasis of Marines or Cultists. But the frequency would also be lower. You'd be facing WAY more sorcery and dark warp energies than you would physical enemies. These aren't khornate worshippers who will throw bodies into the fight, nor are the Nurgle's kin who would have a near infinite amount of tough resources to use, nor are they Slaanesh... For obvious reasons... Of them all, the whole concept of the Thousand Sons is that they're a clever Legion that utilizes deception and subterfuge rather than direct contact and bludgeoning tactics. Its only when they know they have the upper hand against their enemies, that they would strike with immense force.

    they did the helldrake a massive L. I was looking forward to fighting the helldrake while i was playing campaign, only for it to turn into a niche mechanic battle

    Wow, I actually really agree with this list. I totally agree why 1 is before 5, definitely better for grinding. But 5 is the second best for sure

    Why is ballistic engine #5? It's a fairly easy op and the final area is by far the easiest of all the ops. As for the sandstorms, yes its harder to see everything but its also harder for enemies to see you. Its one of my go to's for grinding xp or weapons

      True, if I were ranking based solely on farming XP, the list would look different. I was also considering whether the journey had cool ideas, memorable moments, and interesting objectives. I may have overcomplicated it, but I’m taking notes and plan to approach comparison videos differently in the future.

    The battery escort one will always be bottom for me. Absolute nightmare with pubs turning the damn thing around or moving it when I’m trying to turn it around and it goes nowhere near where I need it…

      Heard! Yeah, I think the last part could be reworked. The turning sections should be automated, and the button could be repurposed to fix a turning jam instead of requiring us to align the track. Additionally, only one charge should be needed.

    As someone who plays mostly on average difficulty, it is interesting to see how much people hate fighting chaos compared to nids. I'm the opposite. I'd fight a terminator over a lictor any day of the week.

      Haha, yeah, Lictors always manage to land some hard hits on me. I also find Tyranids more fun to fight, but once I got upgraded gear, the Chaos forces became manageable. Blowing them up with a melta is pretty fun-though, honestly, blowing anything up with a melta is fun.

    The chaos marines are only run to fight if your sniper, heavy, or tactical. The other melee centered classes will always have more fun against bugs. The thousand sons was the wrong choice on a chaos faction to add i feel it should've been the world eaters as they are more melee focused

      It would have made more sense if it was the Night Lords, as they're the moral and ethical antithesis to the Raven Guard, AND they're doing precisely what the Thousand Sons are doing, but wouldn't have the bending of Lore Constraints that they're performing with regards to the Thousand Sons. And they're also a Melee centered faction within the Traitor Legions, utilizing hit and run tactics and terror strategies to cause panic and chaos before the big reveal. Or the Word Bearers. Worshipping the Pantheon of Chaos itself, would make more sense and opens up a realm of opportunity as they would utilize all four powers and benefits of the 4 Dark Gods. The Black Legion would be the safest. But Abaddon and the Black Legion are off gallivanting through the area surrounding the Eye, after the destruction of Cadia. Iron Warriors would be unique. But they'd be showing up in force. They don't like subterfuge, but there would have to be an end goal for them as well. They don't go to war for no reason. There's usually some gainful end objective (read Storm of Iron for a great concept of the lengths the Iron Warriors would go for precious objectives).

    The forces of Chaos are a pain to fight against. The only melee fighters are the ones that are even capable of shrugging off your heavy melee attacks. The tyranids are more up close and personal. Keep em coming. Aside from neurothropes. I main assault and these guys suck...

      Yeah, not sure why there isn't a jump-pack uppercut move to use against flying enemies. Also, I don't get why a Vanguard can't grapple a Neuro or Zoan while they're in the air.

    I personally think Inferno is shorter because the Hive Tryant can really fuck you up on higher difficulties if you get an incompetent team or, emperor forbid, you play with Ai

    Decapitation is easily the best one, simply for the fact that typically, my other two team mates tend to die leaving me to solo the Tyrant, and that shit gives me a HELL of a rush going one on one with nothing but the Emperors Protection and a Combat Knife! SLY MARBO BE DAMNED!

    Inferno imo is the best. Not every build is good against the hive tyrant and the minibosses you can skip depending on which part of the mission you're on and such. Decap I'd put on number 2

    A piece of advice for anyone building up characters: Weapon mastery and unlocks are shared between all classes, meaning any progress leveling up the bolter pistol for example is shared amongst all your characters. If you start grinding the tactical, assault, vanguard or bulwark you can get the chainsword and bolter to max level which will be a great help for when you start leveling other characters since you will get to use high level weaponry regardless of your current level.

      Great advice! I leveled up the Vanguard first, which made leveling the Tactical class pretty easy due to the weapon overlap.

      Yes. At least your secondary and melee's. Half the classes utilize the Chainsword and bolt pistol.

    I like the boss at the end levels. Cuz no matter what you’ve done up to that point it doesn’t matter if you lose. I’ve had a few of those on Decapitation and to be honest it allows me to always give it a certain respect. Sometimes the Tyrant is just ruthless 😂

    I had the same thought about the tyranids not targetting the servitors and i brought this up with one of my friends. He felt that since the tyranids lacked a hive tyrant (since we killed theirs) or swarmlord in the area which would lead to the tyranids not being nearly as strategic. That they would resort to their more primal nature and servitors tend to lack biomass and would not seem to be a threat. They were struggling to get a foothold and therefore also focused on more nearby threats, which we would have been far enough away to be less noticed. But hey, who knows, could have very well been plot armor. Kind of like how the Tyranids lack any kind of plot armor themselves and never win any major battles. :P

      Good point. I figured the Tyranids wouldn't care about the servitors for their meat, but they'd notice the big bomb they were hauling and might try to stop it. I didn’t consider that the hive tyrant would be dead at this point, so they’d be less strategic.

      @@MidiorGaming Who knows honestly! It very well could have been the devs thinking, "whats a way to make this scene more interesting? Lets have a bunch of slaves pull the giant bomb, instead of a winch or somekind of railcar, because thats metal af (and very much warhammer) 😂😅 It is cool to see a content creator point out the finer details in things, some of which i noticed and questioned myself 😂

    I really think that the reason why the Nids are more fun to fight is that the Tzeench guys all shoot. Every singke one of them except the Gors. I think they have some rubric marines armed with egypian space swords (kopesh?) It would have been nice to have them at least. Also you cannot stagger the warpfire guys they wont go melee with you, just keep igniting you. It is so fun to duel with elite (majoris?) Nids in this game but no elite chaos want to engage you in melee. TLDR chaos boys too shooty

    Reliquary is really a pity, the map itself is absolutely cool. I walked past the first area like 10 times thinking that's a collapsing castle on the other side of the cliff, but imagine my awe when I found out that it's an entire Imperator-class Titan. The giant space marine statue in the middle of the tomb was also really cool too. Wish they have half the length of the cemetery, cut the basement of the tombs, less of the bridge, and instead have us fight up the tower while the heldrake encircles us, and end in an actual boss fight at the top. I still don't get why did the heldrake just conveniently landed (or why landed at all?) where there are relics waiting to shoot beams at it, what was the purpose of the consoles and the beam shooting relic in the first place, and why did the heldrake's explosion took out the entire tower along with the beacon...

    IMO all the operations with Tyranids are just better than fighting the heretics, Tyranids are just more fun to fight against. The lack of executions against the Thousand Sons also make it repetitive too quick. When I'm fighting against Tyranids, I could actually role play harder.

      I agree with the thousands suns sentiment, i also hate how they just fall apart like legos when you kill them, its not very satisfying. With xenos you kill em and you’re drenched in blood after, makes them much more satisfying to kill

      100%. Executions against Tyranids are way more satisfying than the glitter and smoke from Chaos Marines. I learned why the Chaos Marines do that, but it still doesn't feel as good.

    Why the tyrannids aren't attacking the servitors? They can barely feel them. Servitors are all lobotomized, some more thoroughly than others. They are basically just machines at that point. Used and abused, parts replaced as they break down. The Tyrannids are in an active war effort, looking for maximum organic matter to fuel biomass demands. They do this through basic smell and vision, but also latent psychic resonance in living beings. Servitors are low priority precisely because they tyrannids probably don't even recognize them as anything other than tainted carrion that would take more processing than would be worth the time while engaging resistance.

    I've played Vox Liberatus a lot and it's honestly a favorite. Especially when it gets to the point where the Tyranids and Thousand Sons converge cause it has so many variations. Sometimes it's majority Tyranids, Majority Chaos, sometimes there's a Hellbrute, and sometimes a Carnifex. There's even been occasions where a swarm or portal manifests behind you as you exit the door basically surrounding you. I really hope future operations hone in on that variability.

      @@MidiorGaming yeah same. Honestly I feel like 3 way fighting operations are the only way they could do chaos operations without having a good portion of backlash from the community since people like the Tyranid ones more

    I disagree on the sandstorm. Forwhatwver reason, a lot of shooters will have counter after counter, making it hard to do melee builds in their game while almost never having a counter for ranged builds. If I have to fight aroubd slows, explosive enemies, seeing an enemy bot walking backwards faster than I can sprint forward while able to shoot me with anti-stormtrooper aim in one more gd game I'mgoing to pop a cork. I also like the horror movie vibe of hearing a swarm maneuvering around us while our visibility is limited and you see their silhouettes slowing coming I to view. The Trolly area for Fall of Atreus is solid, and I think mission lengths should be closer to it personally. It's engaging, is done faster with teamwork, and keeps you moving. Unlike many other objectives like Inferno with the hive swarm flanking us while we wait for and undescript timer or decapitation while we fight a set horde while waiting for a kill trigger to move us to detonation the bomb. The elevator on Vox Liberatis is more of a missed opportunity than anything. Throughout most operations we can move at our own pace while doing objectives and here is an opportunity to take that control away from us and put us on a roller coaster like drop where we are being g challenged to clear enemies who have a set spawn rate as the elevators move. In higher difficulties, enemies should be dropping down from the various floors rather than mainly just teleporting in, or they could completely scrub all of that and spawn a Helbrute once in awhile. The Dreadnaught section was also a missed opportunity. The Dreadnought should have been a pass or fail checkpoint and involve fighting more Helbrutes, but these ones wouldn't give armory data. And if the Dreadnaught is destroyed from taking too much damage, then there would be no way to open the door, and we could get a mission failed. Rather instead the "challenge of the entire section is just spamming dumb spawns that just have us fighting while being constantly out of position that we were more or less forced to do. The elevator in Vox at least makes perfect sense, it would be like watching a mad max movie but here we are just being put in a crappy position because they wanted to make the section somewhat hard while fighting with a dreadnaught and they got lazy and made it hard for the wrong reasons. To me the best moments are the ones realizing there are stakes. When I failed the engine mission because I was fighting an extremis enemy and the swarm took out the train I now really enjoy that feeling when I see the swarm coming in and I have to make sure I'm ready to defend the train. All in all, I find all of these missions of being very well designed and super replayable. There isn't a single one I've gotten tired of playing and really reminds me of the days of playing ME3 multiplayer.

      Thanks for the detailed reply! I might start doing tier lists instead because with my ranking from 5 to 1, I’d happily replay those, but I’m not sure if that comes across clearly with just a numbered ranking. You make a good point about the dust storm acting as a counter for shooters. I like that there’s one long mission, but I wish the payout was higher to justify it. A Dreadnought on the elevator would be great, especially if it turned into a full-on three-way fight with Tyranids, Chaos forces, and multiple Extremis enemies. Speaking of horror movie vibes, Lictors have jump-scared me a couple of times now!
