Gracie Fields/Monty Woolley Holy Matrimony 1943.
Переглядів 882 тис.6 років тому
Gracie Fields own personal favourite film with Monty Woolley A delightful union of these two stars, who went on to appear in Molly And Me. The film is from Arnold Bennett's Buried Alive, An artist(Woolley) returning from abroad, takes on the role of his valet, to escape press coverage. Priam Farrell passes away on his way back to the England, The confusion who is the real Farrell continues, Com...
Larry Grayson This Is Your Life 1972

Larry was a big fan of Gracie Fields, (her this Is Your Life) has been uploaded from 1960 to You tube. Larry and was in Rochdale during her final visit in 1978. Dorothy Squires he loved too and he and Tom Bunn went to see her in around 1994. They just went through the back door and sat at her table, they had phoned her prior to this, as she was mostly a recluse by that stage in her life. Larry ...

A 1945 film starring Constance Bennett and Gracie Fields, both were coming to the end of their film careers. Tightly directed by Gregory Ratoff. Both Bennett and Fields, are trapped in Nazi paris, they go on to rescue shot down airmen, and help them reach the English Channel. The film was released some five months after VE day in October 1945. The Movie is quite light weight but has a powerful ...

A brief video about Clarice Cliff and her Autumn Crocus design in production from 1928-1968. I became a ceramic designer and Dorothy Squires (1915-1998)encouraged me to become me really bless her heart.
Those old movies show us how our parents, grand parents, were so nice, brainy, courageous people, better than most of us.
"I submit to your lordship" comes out "I smell your lunches" - Bwahaha, LOVE this movie with the subtitles, just in case I miss something. Picking up the Brits acting in early films is the finest ear exercise ever. Another great Gracie Fields and Monty Woolley fest! Big fan, and more, more, more of this ilk.
I love this. I would love to see Molly and Me again. I love that little song at the end that Monty and Gracie sing. ❤🎶
Third time watching. This is a good movie.
UA-cam movies... Anemic volume. What a shame.
From the story by one of my favorite authors, Arnold Bennett. Check out his humorous self-help audio books and novels. Another of his stories, check out The Card movie with Alec Guiness.... hilarious!
So beautiful beautifully beautiful movie!…No suppose so many views!…😊
A. Graet. Movie. 🎞 💣 👌 💣 🎉🎉🎉
WOW ❤love these old gems.
I’ve watched this great old classic every four or five years ,and enjoy it everytime just like the first time! Thank you for providing it ! 😊
Thanks for posting! Quite entertaining but a pale shadow of the 1933 version with Roland Young and Lillian Gish. That one moves far more slowly and may frustrate some, but its depiction of a true introvert and an extraordinarily resolute and unflappable gentlewoman is stunning and unforgettable.
OMGoodness !! I am only halfway through this movie and it is already on my one of my movie FAVORITE list….. ❤👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻to the wonderful actors and great movie script.
Brave woman during the.war my favourite movie of ww2 is The Scarlet and the Black starring Gregory Peck , though this movie is also good thanks for the upload 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐
What a multifaceted plot...gd old letter correspondence dictation, long skirt hemlines, attending yr own funeral and a shr ewd wife. Simply Super!🧙👌👏
A lovely man! Rip
Remember to buy war bonds !!!
A marvellous movie thanks for the upload 💯👏👏👏👏👏
Awww,what a wee hidden gem,❤️💙💚🤍💜
He was beautiful x
Gosh ...all the Men so fine ,refined totally handsome... gentleman ..taking care of the ladies ...even the enemy
I like Monty Woolley & just discovered Gracie Fields this is the second movie I watch with her. Monty Woolley was great in Since you Went away, nice to see him in this, entertaining movie with Gracie Fields. I think the subject is a bit off the wall, implying an artist can't be left alone [anti-press and commercialism] without running away somewhere where he & his wife, who has no eye for art, have to move where they eat kangaroo with crocodile sauce, lol she can cook anything! Portrait of Jennie is a lovely movie about an artist and his subject. Thanks for sharing.
Gracie was so loved her other films Molly And Me, Paris Underground, so give them a try. Monty is a sheer joy glad you enjoyed..
What a gem of a movie!
I love this movie and the video quality is excellent.
We live in a world of arseholes now.... Tony cuenca
I loved this movie
I do say a bloody good show😎 I didn't know percentage went up to 10.000 great line ,lol✡️✝️😎
I think what these films have that's missing now is "charm". A kind of gentle humour that could not be recreated now (sadly). At least we still have all these films with a style like this. :-)
Спасибо за фильм и субтитры на русском языке! Замечательные актеры! Вчера смотрела,, Molly And Me,, и тоже очень понравился!
A brilliant performer, his comic timing is spot-on. But more importantly a beautiful human being. Nobody has ever had a bad word to say about Larry. Kind, decent, generous and sadly missed.
Seems like a nice boy.
This is an incidental remake of a movie with Roland Young and Lillian Gish called “His Double Life,” 1933.
Wow! What a gem. If this doesnt make you smile .nothing will. Thankyou
As Larry was born in 1923 i can't help wondering if he received a request to take part in the war effort. Maybe he did but they thought he was too meek and mild to be of any use!
One of these days very soon, no one will remember people like Larry. I’m 62. ❤️ thanks for the memories Larry, Danny and Frankie. My gay icons 🎉
Good Movie God bless
So little is taught now days about this era. As any young teen or even young adults about WW2 and they give you a blank stare. Even Vietnam has faded into the past, with only a few bits and pieces even mentioned in school.
Kangaroo chops with crocodile sauce. Unexpected pleasure. Thanks!
Less than 5 minutes in and I'm hooked on watching real actors🎉
Aww bless him RIP Larry ❤✝️🙏 you made us laugh Godbless ❤
Ridiculous that the ladies always wear high heels & dress up, just like men do. Was that real??
If the "Baker" is an example of French men during the war then no wonder they lost to the Nazis. There were such ingrates to the US also, ex: Charles De Gaulle post WW2 kicking American bases our.
What a nice human being
Temos todos os humanos falar INGLES
Se vé una hermosa película, lástima que los subtítulos no sean acordes con la trama
What a delight this film was! Sorry, that sounds old fashioned. But seriously … thoroughly entertaining and some great performances, with twists and turns throughout. Highly recommended. Thanks for making it available to us all!
An old but an excellent movie!!!😊😊😊
Yes, I agree, love these old movies, can't get enough of them.
Eric Blore is my favorite butler or valet in these classic films!
Seems like a nice boy.
This movie was one of the most stirring movies of ever seen concerning the Nazis and the Paris takeover! So inspirational and well done!
