I've just begun learning about value investing, and I've found that many good stocks are undervalued despite their intrinsic value. If you had $200k to create a strong investment portfolio, which stocks would you choose for better returns.?

I have 3 months to the exam, (May 20th) I've been studying using the curriculum but it's long and boring as you said. I'm not working at the moment so I can put in a lot of hours of studying which is why I think I can pass without 6 months of prep. But should I get the IFT basic level 1 package or do the high yield package and combine it with A LOT of practice questions?

I'm sitting lvl 3 in August. I have found it very hard, juggling work & CFA. But even if people don't value CFA anymore (which I don't think is true in the UK at least), my knowledge of financial markets is so much better than it was before. For that alone I think it is worth it. It has made me a much better investor and portfolio manager. I am more thoughtful, have better questions to ask and understand the theory side underpinning practice. Some of it works only in the textbook, but understanding that and having a common floor of knowledge with other CFA colleagues makes discussions and strategic thinking much better.

Could you put up a video of an example study session? To show how you use the materials (IFT notes and MM videos) concurrently

Im a hiring manager in a large Boston-based hedge fund. Im watching this video because one of the people i interviewed argued he doesn't need a CFA. Let me be clear..... If you want to work in the asset management industry as an active participant, you MUST have a CFA. We can't teach people how to invest if we have to go over basic things that the CFA charter covers. The CFA is cheap and can be done anywhere in the world at any age.

Hey! How to improve score from around 70 -75% to around 85%?

Hi I passed L1 in Nov 2024. Do you think it makes sense for me to take the L2 exam in May 2025 considering i dont want to take too long a break. Ot should I not consider L2 before August?

How do you know you passed Level 3 at the 90th percentile?

one problem that i find with the curriculum is that they can ask you questions from any mentioned topic in the curriculum, specially the theoretical subjects like AI, PM(part 2), econ and so on.. currently im reading schweser notes to tackle this. can you suggest anything else that would be helpful. P.S. Im scoring around 70% in the premium practice pack which is quite low as compared to the free questions on the LES portal. maybe because I'm solving the qs from the entire subject as opposed to solving from each chapters

I didn't buy the analyst prep package for L1 but they publish a good amount of videos on youtube for free and Dr.Forjan is very engaging and explains things well.

Do u think only watching the videos of IFT and taking notes and then practicing its Question bank as well as official Questions enough for level 2 prep ? I mean not actually reading through notes and just skimming.

What do you think, are salt solutions better than Mark for the first level? Because I heard many people saying that he explains too much time and explains things at the second and third levels

Perfectionism, used to do it at the beginning of my prep but slowly learned that its not worth it for the CFA exams, and Neglecting Health, hmmmmmm about that, i would say that for me studying for CFA has a very positive correlation with my bodyweight. BTW exam on 18th feb, will have reviewed tough topics 3 times and others twice. decided to give first mock this 16th. what should i expect?? really nervous and excited!! I wish I have a reasonable range of accuracy for my first mock, how much should I reasonably aim for??

I never took a note... just relied in being visual photographic memory... using third party flash cards..

Ethics, FI, FSA, equity and PM are the highest topic weights Do FI and FSA early. Quants and derivatives are technical.

I'm not sure that studying 2 hrs for 5 days will be enough to complete it in 6 months

I want to appear L2 in august. My strategy as of now is to go through the notes once and then solving questions. I want to focus on solving the questions more(because it improves understanding). Is this effective strategy or I should change it?
