Morris Minor - First run in 18 years
Переглядів 63 тис.14 років тому
this is me and murt getting the minor going for the first time in 18 years, she was stood in a shed.
I had an A30 van about 1955. The A30 car was a lot more expensive because of higher purchase tax. Then in 1960, I found I could put windows in, just like the picture, without attracting the extra tax because after 5 years the vehicle value was now much lower. We had a folding bench seat in the back, making it a very versatile "estate" car.
Great
Still in srilanka many good cars running on tha road..
These are good cars and we must keep preserving they
Oh dear, what a dirty looking Morris Minor! Slightly rattly sounding engine too. Did you get it cleaned up and restored?
best place for that heap is the scrap-yard, mains are rattling, inside's a total mess and it'll be rusted out; not mention slow, uncomfortable, shite brakes; the list goes on...there's much better 'old' cars around.
Thats a load of plopp jon .. you talk shite as usual
So don’t watch it and go buy a trollmobile instead.
Your name sounds like a shit
Car equivalent of Honda 90.

great old british classic
Now write Anti Pesto on it!
DMI a Wexford reg number, very nice.
It'll never let you down- great car , and 18 years just proves how hardy they are!!
If ever I need a car that is completely useless & has more rattles than a spoilt child plus being ugly.. I could be interested, my top offer is two shillings & sixpence..
We have a '57 4 door saloon. Completely original, never restored, engine's never been out. It is THE most reliable car we own, and that includes two "moderns". It is also the cheapest of our cars to service - with practically all the required work able to be done in one's own garage with hand tools. As my English friends say: "you have to love a Morris Minor - it does what it says on the tin".
+Thomas Webb Hi, I HAVE A 1955 Morris Minor which is getting restored, let me know if you know anyone that has spares. :)

@paul austin All you're doing in these comments is coming across as a complete twat. Fucking keyboard warrior.
@paul austin you don't know what your talking about fool.
they sure beat the crap they make today with all their gismos that constantly fail, i would have a morris any day of the week
Yeah, front trunions collapsing, electric fuel pump packing in at any time, faulty gearboxes, rotting chassis. Today's cars are far better in every way.
make sure you all git sensor insurance
Childhood memories!! My father owned one of those.
18 years!!! minors are great little cars
I bet the chassis needs welding
Well dang it...it would have been nice to get a look at that engine...kind of a bummer...
You left your sandwiches on the roof and someone was running after you to get them .
The air con pipe is not supposed to be sticking out like that
Ha. Superb
theres only 40,000 miles left in that engine by the look of it
dont paint it , just enjoy it
@bmwfan4lyfe its not worth it is it? I mean they are cheapish anyway xD
Haha! Those fuel lines are bad hey, we recently restored our one - mechanical fuel pumps are amazing things! I've posted up some videos of our Morris if you want to check it out.
What a beast... And the cars not that bad either.
the small brass pipe from the carb back to the petrol tank had totally seized up/corroded so i ran a pipe from the carb into a petrol can sitting on the front seat, health and safety would love that. grary
oil rings gawn
many thanks for that, just had a look at yours, seems like you done a lot of work on her, well done, great to see them still on the road. gary
