Wash 3 times a month? Dang, I shampoo and condition my afro textured hair 2-3 times a week. My hair and scalp greatly improved after starting this routine.
Same. Has helped me retain both length and moisture washing more frequently.
Love the video and am planning to implement those steps. I think I’ve definitely fallen prey to over complicating my hair care. So now I’m overwhelmed and struggling 😅 I do have a question though. After you do your steam, should a moisturizer or oil be used?
@@thismomof5 thank you so much for your feedback. I’m very glad it was helpful. To your question, yes moisture still with a conditioner or leave in. No oils are necessary it will not penetrate into that hair.
I love an informative hair care/styling video by a licensed cosmo! Thank you! Your content is needed
@@LadyKLoves1222 thank you sooo soo much for that. Definitely have a lot to share. 🫶🏾✨

Do you recommend titanium plates or ceramic ? x
As a professional, I use titanium tools. But ceramic is great for at home care. Titanium gets hot really fast and is good for dense hair, ceramic is great for finer hair and doesn’t get as hot as titanium.
How often should you do a steam treatment?
Hi! Depends how often you wash your hair. But you can do it weekly or bi-weekly.
Nice full natural hair ❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful!
@@sugamehoney thank you ☺️
Do I have to clarify every time I wash my hair?
Clarify once a month
@@keiraashleyhair Thank you! 😊
This was so informative and easy to follow
I appreciate the feedback Mrs.Bev 👌🏾✨
I’m just confused? Because if I’m going to deep condition or steam treatment why do I need a moisturizing shampoo? That part has never made sense to me
@@tonie48 good question. After using a clarifying shampoo, which is designed to deeply cleanse and remove buildup from hair, a moisturizing shampoo is essential to replenish moisture and nourishment to the hair. Clarifying shampoos can strip the hair of natural oils and leave it feeling dry and brittle. Moisturizing shampoos help to restore hydration, improve manageability, and keep the hair healthy and soft.
@@keiraashleyhair but how does it do all that and clean the hair? Also doesn’t that defeat the purpose of having a conditioner?
@@tonie48 everyone’s hair requires something different. You can try adding these steps to your routine. If you don’t see a difference. Do what works best for YOUR hair.
@@keiraashleyhair thank you
@@tonie48 Also remember that there’s levels to it. Moisturizing shampoos have *some* conditioning properties in it-that *doesn’t mean it has the same conditioning intensity as a deep, rinse-out, or even a lightweight leave-in conditioner.* It’s just more moisturizing than a clarifying shampoo. That’s all. Stripping the hair is a harsh process. The level of buildup you have determines the leveling of cleansing you’d need each wash day. Plus shampoo sessions come in twos (lather, rinse, repeat). For example, if washed my hair last week and styled with a leave-in + mousse, I can get away with a moisturizing shampoo twice the next wash. If I used leave-in + cream + gel, or worked out a lot, I should probably clarify first, then use a moisturizing shampoo as the second lather. If it’s been 2 weeks or more, I did a few remoisturizing sessions with leave-ins or oils , and have been sweating, I would probably double clarify.
I can not do the chase method for anything. I just did my hair and the humidity is making it difficult to maintain the silk press
@@kelli7916 honestly when our hair reverts backs so quickly one of the factors could be your hair is dehydrated so it absorbs the moisture in the air
@@keiraashleyhair thank you for the reply. I washed and deep conditioned it. Sat under the hair dryer-my usual routine.
@@kelli7916 yess just be consistent with it
Peace! There’s an attachment that you can put on your flat iron. It’s literally a comb that adheres to your flat iron…and she did say in the video to try steaming it with a wet towel under a hooded dryer
@@LadyKLoves1222 thanks for sharing that. I have the flat iron attachment too. Definitely helpful✨

Hello! I'm a little confused. How does the moisturizing shampoo add moisture? Isn't the conditioner going to do that? Like, why can't you go straight from clarifying shampoo to conditioner?
@@shanchip1 Clarifying shampoos can strip the hair of natural oils and leave it feeling dry and brittle. Moisturizing shampoos help to restore hydration, improve manageability, and keep the hair healthy and soft. It's important to follow up with a moisturizing shampoo to maintain a good balance of cleansing and hydration for your hair.
Hello! Where can we find your Amazon store front? The link in your bio is not working for me. Thank you!
Hi there! Try the link now
I love everything about what you said except for parroting the lie told to billions that hair is dead. It is very much alive. What is dead does not receive. What is dead is not affected by anything done to it nor for it. A dead plant will not be revived by watering, nor bear fruit by feeding. Remember the same white people who added that lie to textbooks are the same people who said a dogs' mouth is cleaner than a woman's vag.ina, Black people have a higher threshold for pain and told the native Indian they come in peace.
❤
