Interesting how results vary so drastically. Ive used this almost primarily in all my shooting, and I love it. I can order a box of 200 jhp for 89.00 to my door and I think they're fantastic. Luckily I don't need to try them on people but I think they'd do just fine. Great video

I load the 140 FTX in uncut brass BUT I checked the freebore before loading. I cut a slot in the neck of a 357 mag and pushed a 140 FTX in with my fingers and chambered it in my Henry All Weather. The brass was uncut and when I measured it I still had .140" thousands of freebore before the rifling so I load mine in regular 357 brass, sometimes I even add a a little more powder and have seen no signs of pressure. Check your freebore and work up your own loads if you decide to do this. With the 140FTX I have seen over 1800fps without any signs of pressure out of my 20" Henry, drops deer like they were hit by a cinder block, 1" groups and most times Bang-Flop inside of a 100 yards.

Those SST’s with IMR4350 give me 5 shots touching in my 270 Remington Mountain Rifle. It’s a 85 first year they made them. COAL at 3.290 unbelievable out of a factory pencil barrel. That rifle has killed countless Pennsylvania bucks in my father’s hands. I’ve killed more than a few with those Hornady bullets. I prefer high shoulder and they drop graveyard dead. Only a few runners thank god lol. Ain’t fun dragging a carcass up the mountain. Goin down is the easy home stretch lol

I have been loading Berry's bullets for my 40 S&W revolver. I only load the HP in the 180 gr loads. For the other I use the 155gr HB RN. The reason is the lead is soft enough that the RN will give adequate expansion with a little more penetration. The 180gr HP will do both.

Like I said ........Like I said that is one way of doing it. It's not wrong but I personally don't do the wet tumbler cleaning but if it works for you then that's all the matters. If you try the new breech lock system from Lee you won't have to spend as much time making adjustments every time you load 243.

I neck size in a bushing die until my rifles tell me it's time to FL size. Neck sizing is a lot less work, no lube needed, and works just fine. You have to test each case though. Example, last weekend I shot 40 rounds of new brass in a new rifle. Got home and rechambered every case and, as usual, all fit just fine just like they did when new. Then I annealed all of them and ran them all into my neck only bushing die, then over the turn mandrel, then measured OAL. All were nearly identical and still 5 thousands less than max length, thus, no need to trim. Then I test fitted all again for Ss and Gs even though I knew all of them would fit just fine but I still go through the process which took about 3 minutes. Then wet tumbled for 3 hours. So, now I have 40 pieces of once fired brass to one rifle chamber, neck sized only, annealed, cleaned, dry, ready to load. No lube, no mess. Neck sizing is king so long as you test fit. Now, here's the PROBLEM with FL sizing a case just because that's what everyone says is best, and you can test it yourself. Take 10 new brass, load them, shoot them. Rechamber them and see if they all fit. Most always, they fit just fine unless you were running really hot loads. But for this scenario, lets say all 10 you fired fit fine. Now you measure the headspace and decide to FL size and bump the shoulder 2 thousandths. But wait, they already fit the chamber easily before sizing and likely already had plenty of clearance and here you go bumping the shoulder an additional 2 thousandths. I've tested this many times over the last 35 years. What many reloaders are actually doing is having a FL sized case that now has 4-5-6 or more headspace clearance since they FL sized a fired case that fit anyway. Now you're setting yourself up for case head separation because you're OVERWORKING the brass. There's an Aussie guy who posted a video and I just watched it this last weekend. He does exactly what I do. Let your rifle tell you if brass needs FL or neck only sizing by retest fitting it in the rifle. Separate them accordingly. In summary, I can't think of any time I had new brass or good quality factory ammo I shot in a rifle, that the fired cases would not easily rechamber and again after neck sizing only with a bushing, then over a turn mandrel, rechamber again, so long as the case did not need to be trimmed, and this has happened on occasion. But it was a total length issue, not a headspace issue. Most of the time I can get 3-4 loads on a case before it needs to be FL sized unless I'm running a really hot load, which I am in one of my 300WSMs. And those rifles were chambered with my 300WSM modified reamer I designed. Neck sizing, in my experience, is most certainly the way to go. You just have to sort your brass accordingly as mentioned above, and keep you FL sized cases in a batch and your neck sized cases in a different batch. I've also tested accuracy in my current 21 Tikka rifles, some complete factory, some have better barrels like Brux, Benchmark, and Bartlien, as well as my full custom builds with trued Rem 700 actions, Defiance, Lone Peak Arms, Stiller, Kauger, Pure Precision, with Shilen, Lilja, Broughton, Proof CF, Krieger, Bartlein, Brux, Benchmark, and K&P barrels of various contours and lengths. What I have found in almost every rifle is neck sized cases produced best accuracy, lowest SD and ES numbers but I do run on the hotter side. All of these are hunting rifles. I do not compete. In competition, those guys all FL size but run mild to medium loads. They care more about a node on the lower end that running hot ammo. I'll keep neck sizing all cases when I can which is the bulk of the time. It's worked extremely well and to my satisfaction much to the dismay of multiple bears, pronghorn, mule deer, whitetails, hogs, coyotes. I prefer a lot less brass prep work and better accuracy.
