I am new to your channel. Having hunted bear with hounds in western Virginia years ago I enjoy your videos. Question what breed of dog is Scruff?

Some of my best hunting memories were sitting with my dad just talking by a tree.The hunt was second.

With all your great footage of the hunts, I’m going to call it just human error over a fail. We all make mistakes when hunting especially when we are excited. The day it doesn’t excite a hunter is the day we should call it. You do to much good to let this one bother you brother. One of those kind of times when one jumps not thinking we are as high as we are. A quarter way up the tree is a lot for a ground animal such as ourselves.

Good old Scruffy, it might be a little package, but his heart is bigger than most dogs three times his size. I was telling a bear hunter today bout him. When I left he was watching your videos. I think ole Scruffy made a new fan for sure. Good hunting and Gods speed to hunters and their packs.

Are you feeding a different amount each day depending of if you run your dogs vs rest days? Or do you just average out their caloric needs over a week's worth of time?
