You put the screens on wrong. They are rectangular not square and designed to shoot through the mesh. Rotate them 90degrees and they will cover the whole shooting window. Unless of course you like them that way.

Good video. We just put in 40 acres of 5 strand barbed wire. One important thing to mention is that here in Arizona a legal fence is defined as 4 strands, 50 inches tall, and 30 ft max post distance as you stated. BUT, they also state that any other fence of similar strength and ability (such as more strands, field fence, electric fence, smooth wire) will also meet the definition of a legal fence. So there are exceptions.

Oh S*&T. I been seeing the posts on facebook and did not know they are going with it anyways. I been wondering why so much traffic on the 60 going east was about at 4 in the morning on my way to work. I am a truck driver working in the forest department. Sometimes I question myself on what I am working for. However the forest looks good and cleans out fire danger. However them windmills are going to look ugly just like north of Snow Fake AZ.

Good info. I always love how ppl in the city say they will run to the rural area. However, us rural dwellers will be like "the supply truck arrived".

Anything can happen anywhere. You're correct. I am aware of my weak areas. And I believe self awareness is gold. Always love your perspective. Keep up the great content. These are all good tips. I do think if major mayhem happens, eventually, the rural areas will get visitors too. I think the first wave would be regular people trying to get somewhere safe but the negative elements will be the second wave.

You missed the BIG one. Your automotive. You need to know to fix tires, change oil, do basic repairs. Many times on the homestead, I have to work on the vehicle. Change a tire, fix the breaks, change the oil, or replace belt. It is the one way in and out. Learn basic automotive.

Meat rabbit homestead here! Pls don't pick rabbits up by the shoulders. It tears their skin from their muscles and is both painful and damaging.

Rabbit is not healthier than eating fish, or any fatty meat for that matter. Fat is critical for human survival. It should be near 70% of our diet. That is why rabbit starvation is a thing in the first place.

Great advice! Also, I've been raising alpacas for 27 years...they produce the best fleece, the best manure and very lean read meat. They don't pull grass out when they graze and they are easy on the land with their padded feet. They are not hard on fencing and they are easy to train. Births happen mid day and usually require no assistance. They should weigh at least 100 pounds by one year old. Adult weigh between 150 and 180 pounds. So alpacas are a valuable multipurpose farm animal.
