5 Reasons Why We're Disability Influencers!
I've been making videos for social media with my special needs daughter Reina (13) for 6 months now.
Sometimes people leaves comments asking why we are making these videos. Even asking why I am exploiting my daughter. To answer those questions, here are the 5 main reasons why we are disability influencers.
We believe we have a story to tell. We want to share Reina's happiness and joy with the rest of the world. And she deserves to be on social media just as much as anyone else.

We were surrounded by animals! There was chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys, doves, goats, dogs, two emus and a pig. It was very tough for Reina at the beginning, but through time, patience and practice she became more c...

Getting an EEG at CHLA With My Special Needs Daughter Reina.
Переглядів 2,1 тис.21 день тому
Due to Reina's history of epilepsy, we have to get regular EEGs done to check on the status of her brain wave activities. We haven't had one done in a while and her neurologist ordered another one. We had it done at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. But due to Reina's anxiety and fear, it is quite a challenging procedure to do. Thank you so much to the CHLA staff for being so patient and cour...

Best Dad ever! Love you man and Reina, you and your wife are such a good parents, I admired you sincerely, thanks for caring about her
I hate the word retarded. I hate that they put it in a medical records. Why can’t it just say autistic? they should say learning disability or autistic.
"It's okay to be afraid. It's okay to take time". I love that. So proud of Reina for constantly trying despite her fear.
I love how these videos can be funny, A lesson to us, And an adventure all in one, Love it! Keep up the great work Reina!- TheEastCoastRailfan (Gavin)
Have you guys ever been to Danny's Farm in Shadow Hills? It's a petting farm and the owners understand autism because they have an autistic son. It could be a good way to get her acclimated to farm animals, knowing the environment is special needs friendly.
No way! I’ll look it up!

She did amazingly considering how frightened she was. Thank goodness Daddy is so patient and understanding. She knows that she can trust him and to calm down in the same measure that he is calm with her.

Way to go Reina !!
Even though she was scared and hesitant, she still went ahead and stepped out of her comfort zone with the help of dad! Great job Reina!
What a beautiful place to visit!
Great job Reina we’re so proud of u for overcoming your fears
You are doing the best thing for Reina . She's doing daily activities her vocab is very good and when she is calm she can express how she is feeling. You learnt the difference of her calmness and stressed stages. Please stop saying in front of her her condition of high anxiety because she is listening. Unfortunately girls do have high anxiety and they find it hard to express. My daughter is 24 and still finds it hard. Ive just learnt to read her signs to preempt her behaviour. Also its hard because they look normal till they talk loudly or have a meltdown and people judge the child . Learning to say please is tricky but sometimes if they say please and explain they have a disability people who are not ignorant will understand. Especially during covid when the world was crazy i got a facemask that explained she had a disability and to be patient. Also now they are introducing a sunflower lanyard that highlights to people you have an invisible disability and to be aware not ignorant
Do you do social stories so she can see what will happen also if you take a doll or bear then they can show her by putting the things on the toy first before her turn
We do social stories yes.
