It's true, I got what I deserved, BUT Geppetto is still the worst character to change into as Sun Wukong, and that's a fact

I definitely agree that it's stronger early, the only issue is that having a lot of vitality isn't great if you don't have a lot of healing. It's not a bad thing to have more HP, but it can feel pretty bad making incremental progress to filling back up to full HP. Cursed objects are great, tho! I think Black Lotus is the best, objectively, due to the "negative" effect not mattering. Thanks for the comment :)

I'm just not a huge fan of balor's eye cuz it takes two instances of luck to make it do anything. One you have to get balors, two you have to get a power or special charge, somehow. And with my luck, it's one or the other, never both. It's good when you get it, but it relies too heavily on RNG, imo. I can definitely see it being above the Nightmare items within B Tier, tho. As for mad hat and father time's hourglass, I think they're both good items as well. No negatives, purely positive effects. They might not be the most impactful, but that's not a bad thing!

You could argue it's earlier because getting vitality + damage is better than just flat damage, even if it's less damage 😁 but idk where the cutoff is

@@SyphroPlaysThe cutoff for which is better probably depends on a lot of things. How much damage do you have? How much defensive stats and healing do you have? Philo stone has the benefit of you not losing all your stacks if you die, so how likely is that to happen? Did you die earlier in the run such hungry grass began counting because of what's probably a bug? In that case, you might want to take grass even if you have 10 ogre blood. Etc etc there's probably stuff I didn't even think of.

@user-xr7fw4ks2n it's very complicated! But all this being said, I would probably always take Hungry Grass over Philo Stone because you do need a lot of other items to make Philo Stone explicitly better, and because I'm greedy for damage 😅

Uhhh, have a bunch of rat abilities and do a bunch of rat damage 😅 I'm not entirely sure, but if you get Invasive Blast on top of other rat abilities, you should be good

I think there's a couple reasons, actually. The roguelites that I have the most time playing (The Binding Of Isaac, Risk Of Rain 2, Hades ans Hades 2, Ravenswatch, and Gunfire Reborn) don't have an active heal, most of the time. So it's not really at the forefront of my mind, sometimes. Secondly, when playing games like these, I do sometimes worry that I will waste a heal. Several times I have used a potion and then not taken any damage until after the next hot springs. So it feels like I wasted a charge. But I remember this loss well and I just didn't expect to die to this guy or get hit by him at all. He has very sudden movements and big hit boxes, so it kinda took me by surprise lol

I'm a huge fan of the original 2 Hellraiser movies (haven't seen any after that), but I've heard good things about the 2022 version! I heard it's different, but good.

@@SyphroPlays you can do all 3 charged all that matters is the third tho

They spawn in certain locations! Any of the corner spawns will be guaranteed to be stone (as well as the right side of the middle area), and other spawns it depends on straw or lumber. Sometimes you can infer based on where certain encounters are. For example, if the quest in the top left area, and you find a tree encounter in the bottom right, it probably isn't the wood quest. Hope this helps!
