Taylor had a 6 1/2 year relationship with a person named Joe. He lives in London. Four albums ago she has a song about him called London Boy. She rented a house there for a year and then when she visited after that. Her track 5's are always her most vulnerable. She loved London. The song has a couple call backs to a song called You're Losing Me from her last album Midnights. So Long London is about Joe and the place.

I basically enjoyed your reaction. I do agree with most of the others, that you needed to turn up the music quite a bit, and perhaps turn your own volume down a little--at least one or the other, and probably both. I haven't seen any of your other reactions yet, but I'll be checking them out. Another thing is that perhaps you might want to not talk OVER the people singing. Even though most of us would prefer that you'd listen to the entire song and THEN react, it's far better to stop the song at a few points here and there and react to a section, than to simply override the singers, which also means (in this case, at least) that you missed some movements and innovative expressions that might have answered some of your questions and thoughts, if you had just watched and listened a bit more attentively, all the way through. I honestly did like your final assessment. In that particular song, the men listed in the title (which I simply copied and pasted...that's how it looks under the video, when you watch it) are listed COMPLETELY backwards to the order in which they actually sing. In other words, the first singer is Colm McGuinness. If you've never heard him sing before, you are REALLY in for a treat, if you do the reaction! The second singer is Dan Vasc. Wonderful! The third singer is Jonathan Young. Equally wonderful! The fourth singer is Thomas Sanders. Smooth. The final singer is Caleb Hyles. ALWAYS great! The verses are soloed, as shown above, but all of the guys harmonize on the chorus, when it comes in after each verse. I think you will REALLY enjoy the mix, plus the way that Caleb highlights his drawing for each man, as each one begins his solo. Caleb is a true artist, in every sense of the word, and every single one of the singers is wonderful (including himself). I sincerely hope you do the reaction. 😀

The difference between the two songs you were comparing is that I Can Do it With a Broken Heart is about a very specific time in her life last year when her 6 year relationship ended and she dove into a rebound that broke her heart. She was near the beginning of her tour and truly falling apart and none of the fans knew. I think that Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me is a middle finger to the media, the music industry, the haters and the more toxic fans. She really speaks to the fans more on the song, But Daddy I Love Him, where she politely tells them to mind their own business. You should really check out some of the songs on the second part of the album…The Anthology. They are more acoustic and instrument driven. My favorites are The Black Dog, How Did it End, The Prophecy, Peter and The Bolter.

Saiki is an alto. Miku takes care of both upper and lower registers. They do an acoustic version - guitar and two voices Kanami and Saiki. Very poignant. He started off making music with vocaloids(like Hatsune Miku) under the name hachi, and debuted under his own name in 2012. The line “waving at the ship” has context in the song if you take the concept as a whole. The very first line is “did you really beam me up” like being abducted by an alien and feeling abandoned when they return you back down to Earth. Not everyone catches the alien vibe of the whole song on first listen though.

Thanks for your reaction. Dan has a vocal range of four octaves, and I confess when you said, "I hope he can reach the high notes," I literally laughed out loud in anticipation. Dan can (and does) sing everything from opera to metal, though his preferred genre is power / symphonic metal. You really should head down the Dan Vasc rabbit hole. You won't be disappointed.
