Snack Time Episode 53 Takis Buckin Ranch #takis #snacks #chips #chef
Is this my new favorite Takis? Since I filmed this video a couple weeks ago ive bought several snack sized bags. That's the first time ive done that with a chip through these videos! The bags literally have tons of ranch powder at the bottom and I love it! Simply put if you are a ranch fan this is a must. I needn't say more!

Indomie Onion Chicken
Переглядів 419 годин тому
I hit the mother load on amazon! I found all these income which I'm super excited to try. First up is the onion chicken which I thought was excellent! It was however a hair high in salt even for ramen so it got docked for that in its natural state. Could easily be balanced by some meat and veg though for sure! Def worth a visit. Snack Time Episode 52 Cheez Doodle Hot Honey
Переглядів 2919 годин тому
Ah the cheese doodle, never my favorite of the snacks. Not that I hate them r anything they just never did it for me compared to the caveman type clubs of cheese. I have many a fond memory related to the crunch. These were solid though I have to say. Im just also not a huge fan of hot honey on pizza and that what they were going for a bit. Not pizza in itself but more the idea of sweet, spicy, ...
Shin Black Beef Bone Broth

Man how disappointing this was on a couple levels. The noodles had a strange texture, the broth was flat and cardboard tasting. Simply put I remember shin being better than this. Santos Scale - 4.5 The Scores Explained 1-4.9 trash not worth it 5-7 interesting but perhaps not worth it to me 7.1-8 very good and totally worth being in the rotation 8.1-9 Great and should have on hand 9.1-10 Worth s...
Portuguese Cocktail Sauce Short Version

This is for those of you that want information with the fluff! Stay tuned for the full version that includes the story of why I call it Portuguese cocktail sauce. In the end this is the simplest way to make a quick cocktail sauce that hits all the notes. I firmly believe the more bullshit you add the more you cover the quality of ingredients. Not to say I don't love traditional cocktail sauce be...
Snack Time Episode 51 Rold Gold Selects Cool Ranch
Переглядів 1614 днів тому
To say I was taken aback by these might be an understatement When I smelled them there was very little ranch happening. So I thought I was walking into a dud. Then I tasted it and it was somehow the ranchiest ranch ive ever had! HAHA the play between ranch flavor and pretzel was perfect. I really need to see if there are more of these select flavors because this was excellent.
Snack Time Episode 50 Ruffles All Dressed
Переглядів 5014 днів тому
I didn't realize before posting this but it's my 50th Snack Time Episode!!! What a fun milestone. Fitting that I recently tripped to Canada and this milestone is based on a Canadian favorite! The all dressed lived up to the hype. There is just something about it that's delicious and you can't quite put your finger on it. In the end it's just an umami bomb with its sweet sour salty combo. I know...

Roxy coming through in the clutch with this gift! I have found them on amazon and below is a 30 pack of 6 flavors. I can't wait to taste all of them! This was really a great product. The more I think about it the more I say if it was a traditional ramen I probably wouldn't have like it as much. But because it was more a noodle base I think I liked it even more. Forgot I had these earlier this year. Love the texture of Takis over Doritos and love ranch flavor so these were awesome. I don't think they're better than fuego but I could definitely eat more of the ranch ones, they're pretty addicting. Thanks for reminding me that I need another bag.
Haha I literally just ate a small bag! I’m addicted. The fuego are pretty great. Pro tip on those is dip them in sour cream. Balances the spice and you just crush. Haha
goood stuff david.
Thanks so much!!
AND on a perfect Martin's Potato Roll .........I MUST QUEST !!!!
Totally worth it!
Really? Its one of my favorites.
Have you tasted this particular one? I have always liked shin a lot. This one was just not good to me. I feel like I need to go back and try different lines.
Clean video👌🏼keep it up
Thank you so much!!
Queef
Need some Worcestershire sauce bro
lol this is the original recipe! Hahaha two ingredients that’s it! But you know Worcester is a solid add.
No horseradish?
This is the boiled down version. Tobasco brings the heat!
Is it me or does it look like dog food?
yeah
Yeah it’s kind of wild how something so unappealing ends up making something crazy delicious.
You aren’t wrong!
damn this shit look good as hell man
It’s so delicious! If you ever have a chance to go it’s an absolute must
Have you tried Chris red hots yet? Curious which one you prefer if you have. These look great! I think id definitely go with the well done rippers for sure
They are on the list to try. I’ve got a friend that swears by them so I’m excited to get over there and give them a go!
i found one in my pantry today. i tried it and im not gonna lie i dont like it. i love ramen but the broth is kinda seafoody and i dont like that paired with ramen. 6/10 imo. ramen is great
Yeah it’s def seafood that’s for sure. I’m a fan personally and even bigger fan of seafood and pork! But it’s def not for everyone! I love the feedback though! Keep it going!
Nice video. Regards from Gernany😊
Thanks for watching!! Really appreciate it!
Spicy or mild?
This is the original which is mild
"apparently"?
What did I say apparently to I don’t remember
im sorry that people seem to know nothing about food. i wonder, do they also complain if their sushi is raw?
It’s ok. I find it hysterical that people tell me a chef of one of the top restaurants in nyc what’s what. Haha it’s all part of putting yourself out there publicly.
Damn steak is still mooing
And it’s pork! Supposed to be served like that.
🔵raw
Yes and it’s intentionally served that way. It’s one of the only porks you can eat raw, rare
That is raw bro not rare
It’s rare my friend that’s how it’s supposed to be served. One of the only pork’s you can serve this way.
@chefdavidsantos naah that is all raw and probably still cold on the inside
It wasn’t that’s why it rest in warm pork fat until it’s ready to be fired. It’s ok if you aren’t into it. It’s not for everyone.
You are not a chef, you are a cannibal!
Can’t I be both!? Lol
How many seats in the restaurant?
Just 27 seats between the bar counter and the tables.
It is a great ramen. I add minced garlic, szechuan crushed red pepper, and House of Tsang Szechuan Sauce.
That sounds absolutely delicious!
Awesome video man!
Thanks so much Nick!
Fun review! I've tried this as well but I'm not too sure that it was for me especially with the sweetness of it. I did like the spice level though. Maybe it would've been better as you said with a veg or some chicken. i hope to see more of your videos in the future.
Thank you so much for watching!! Plenty more to come and there is a whole collection behind! Haha. I agree the sweetness needs something to balance it a little! I think an egg would def help!
Love this!
Thank you!!
Looks great!
Thanks so much!
I literally vomitted out this Ramen and was searching for all the videos were people can digest this.. Realisation might have hit late but seafood flavour is not cup of tea i would rather eat fresh fish..
Haha it’s def got that fermenty roasted fish quality that’s for sure! I did that sort of thing though. But I can def see someone hating it. Lol
No joke I’m so close to that spot and it’s always dam good
Yeah I can’t believe how much pork roll they put on.
You're a good teacher keep it up
Wow thank you so much for the compliment!
Now seeing 😅 superb!!
Thanks so much!
This is a Great Korean Ramen, but has a flaw... if You put lemon the broth get an awful taste. But like I said, It's Delicious with side rice, meats 😋 on spice 1 to 10 It's a 6 😋
Love the input!!!
Why did you grab it without gloves then put it back in?
Because I’m a chef and this tasting is for me.
@@chefdavidsantos oh ok I thought you were still going to use it for customers, my bad
All good typically we use gloves and tools like tweezers
@@chefdavidsantos 👍
be honest , its a tourist trap . the Sally guy is a hired Actor .
I totally get that and if the pizza was trash I’d say so. lol but I think it’s all legit although I believe Sally is an aspiring actor. lol
@@chefdavidsantos the dude playing sally’s dad is a pretty good chef and runs a good business . That’s 1000pct not his kid . It’s a story for the internet and tik tok. Just like the “corleone” nonsense . It would all be fine except the kid conned and scammed people with the frozen pizza . That wasn’t right .
Where you getting this information? I need to deep dive because this is the first I’m hearing of it. If you are right it’s totally fucked I agree.
@@chefdavidsantos dont have to dive far friend, yelp reviews , the "Corleone' story . the kid did pretty good for awhile had it going , idk maybe got greedy . it happens . 70 bucks for frozen eillios pies , some had ants , lots of mad people . it is probably a family business . keep up the great content .
Genious!
lol thanks!
very good shrimp looks delicious
Why thank you very much!
Nooo why would you do that and waste all that natural flavor bean water 😂 My abula would of pulled you’re ears for doing that
lol I never want the chancleta treatment trust me! But also removing that first round of water makes the beans less umm let’s say gassy as well! Haha
The best sliders I’ve ever had 😂
They really are the best!
You sound like Jonah Hill. Thanks for the video. 👍
I wish I had his bank account! I’m working on it
1st to comment
Hopefully not the last!!!
Looks pretty good 😊
Yeah not bad at all. Would crush if I had a couple Chardonnays in me! Haha
nice video mate
Thanks so much! I’m trying! Haha
Did I miss how long you said to soak them.
One hour is all it takes.
@chefdavidsantos thank you sir, cool video.
She probably can’t cook with a hill of beans and should give herself a good smack😂
Nice
Thanks!
Everything on the menu at Ruttz Hutz is amazing🔥💯🌭
It’s just awesome
As a Korean, years ago ( I wanna say 10-ish years maybe?) honey butter EXPLODED as a flavor all over the country and was everywhere. There was honey butter fried chicken, honey butter pizza, honey butter BEER even. The craze has since died down but there are still some very popular honey butter snacks.
That’s pretty amazing actually. I love hearing the history behind foods! Thanks so much for sharing and subscribing!!!
Hi chef! I was going through old episodes of my favorite food-related show of all time, Mike Colameco's Real Food and I came across an episode where you popped up cooking at Louro. That "Portugese Kimchi" seafood fried rice you demo'd looked absolutely fantastic, I wish I got to taste it. Glad to see you still have your passion for food! Subscribed!
Mike is such a great guy. He has been to my current restaurant as well! I should bring that fried rice back! Haha
@@chefdavidsantos The adding of the duck eggs at the table on a sizzling cast iron was a genius touch! Very reminiscent of the Korean "dolsot bibimbap" I grew up on.
That was actually the inspiration!
Have you developed any Chef Dave flavored chips for your restaurant menu. I’m rooting for seasonal chip drops, lol. Prolly have done, if not you need get on that chef! 😋😋
That’s a very solid idea! Haha never really thought of that.
Wow looks great
It was so much fun. If you are into food montreal was really a highlight for me!
I definitely got tricked when I bought my bag. I thought it was a new flavor or something but realized it’s the limon ones that have been out for like 10 yrs just in new packaging😭 for some reason, they taste better than I remember. I never would get the lemon bc it tasted weird 10 yrs ago when I was in HS. This new bag is good even if it’s “the same”!
Yeah I totally get tricked by the rebranding sometimes! I do imagine when they rebrand they might make some tweaks to flavors as peoples tastes change over time. Or “new” ingredients became available.
if you a hater, great! Means one less person I gotta wait behind cuz the peak rushes can be crazy.
I’m not a hater I absolutely love the place. It’s superior to the other one in my option.
ask for your fries WHEN the burger arrives. And you can request it well done.
#protip
I know this spot! They've been there for decades and all their stuff is soooo amazingly good. Definitely one of the best hidden gems in Manhattan and super affordable!!
Yeah I sometimes can’t believe how little it costs! It’s the best!
