dude same exact thing for me, 3rd grade this book broke my mind. i adore this book, the concept is so wild. this book had me conceptualize s*1¢1*3 ideation at the age of like 9!?!! i remember it vividly, my teacher read us the scene where edward is stuck at the bottom of the ocean. i thought to myself “that seems worse than death, i bet he wishes he could drown”😭this might be very sad & triggering, but i’m glad i learned that since i dealt with it myself not too many years later, had i never heard this sad “kids” story about this rude rabbit i would’ve felt so confused & sefish. in such a dark way, i’m rlly thankful for this book :)
