Fertility: What To Consider | Partner Perspectives & HRT | E37
In this conversation, Dr Jason and Jeff Farrah discuss fertility testing for men on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). They emphasize the importance of knowing when to refer patients to fertility specialists and staying within their scope of practice.
They also highlight the need for open discussions about hormones and fertility and the potential long-term implications for men.
The conversation touches on the impact of testosterone on fertility, the role of Clomid and HCG in preserving fertility, and the importance of considering family planning when making decisions about TRT.
Dr Jeff & Jason highlight the need to go beyond just checking testosterone levels and consider other factors such as sperm count and quality.
The conversation also touches on the social and psychological dynamics in couples when it comes to fertility concerns. The importance of a thorough clinical history and physical exam is emphasized, along with the need for additional testing and protocols to verify fertility.

Hello everyone, great podcast. Is Dr. Sokolowski's calcium score, whether a zero score or a high score, 400 +, taken into consideration when designing his prescription? Perhaps a ct angiogram was used as well. Could you guys elaborate on this?

Haha "BootyCheeks10" 😂 Excellent stuff. I can attest to what Chester is saying. I've been lifting for 4 years. After coming across Chester's material on IG and older website two years ago I modified my training a lot. In my first year I increased my squat for reps by 100+ lbs, for example (I squat 400's for reps). And I don't even use a squat belt yet. Natural lifter too. My recovery is amazing, lifting progress almost every session, no injuries due to great fatigue management, etc. Looking forward to getting his new course. As a natural, I progress the fastest in general dedicating 3-6 sets per session, training a muscle every 4-5 days. Cringey seeing influencer workout routines with mega high volume 😬

When I was a teenager I had to get surgery to remove a lump on my skull which turned out to be a benign osteoma. The first surgeon I went to was very dismissive of my concerns, didn't answer my questions, and sort of steamrolled over me as he planned the surgery. Being a minor and this would be my first major surgery, I just assumed this was normal and went with it. But after the surgery was scheduled I confided in my mom that I was really nervous and didn't like the surgeon. She immediately cancelled the surgery and brought me to a different surgery practice. This surgeon was just as brusque but made me feel very comfortable with how he listened to my questions and addressed my concerns. He did a fantastic job with the surgery and even minimized the surgical scar. To this day I'm still really grateful that I spoke up and it taught me to always do so when it comes to your medical care.

My man would have his urine completely close off. When he went to the Dr. I told him do not let them. Talk you into a turp.i had seen a video about steam. Dr talked him into a turp. He came home so miserable. Worse yet, the Dr sent him home and told him to take an aspirin. We felt because it was over night in the hospital and more expensive. Never ever let them do a turp.😢😢😢

I have known Jason for years both as a patient and from a professional setting. From watching him handle multiple traumas at once, operating on someone to save their lives, or trying to get me back to feeling like I’m in my 20’s, he handled it all with professionalism and remarkable grace. Jeff was also a lot the same when I began seeing him for my hormone replacement therapy after Jason and his family moved from my hometown back to another state. Jeff, as with Jason, was always professional and caring. Never have I dealt with highly trained people in their respective fields and felt like an equal. Jeff and Jason made me feel like how I felt mattered on a personal level. Amazing job fellas, keep doing what you do. If you’re looking to feel like you matter rather than just another money generator for someone, these are your guys!
