What tools are available for sensor alignment? How much do they cost?

so in case you need to replace the sensor yourself, how will you know how much you need to tighten these springs in order to calibrate the sensor? can this be done by trial and error using some test charts in front of camera to check focus across the frame?

Good timing as I was considering one to join my full spectrum R6. Have you considered doing drop in filter adapters for it like Canon / are we likely to see the full IR chrome filter in the future? Part of me wants to try an adapter to fit the Canon drop in filter adapter with crop mode 😂 Are these filters on such a large sensor likely to have worse corner sharpness issues which ive seen with Canon using UWA lenses and rear mount filters?

What a shame, looks like that with only 3-4mm more depth they would have been comfortably able to directly throw a fan into the camera and not go that cumbersome fangrip way. Maybe even possible to get 1mm of that back by a more clever design of the lcd screen.

DNG Profile editor hasn't worked on Macs since High Sierra so your info is well out of date. There is no new version of DNG Profile Editor so unless you have a 10 year old mac or windows computer it's not supported anymore and can't be used.

LOL, glass doesn't just "corrode" with moisture. The sensor glass does not in of itself have any "pigment". The plain sensor is clear. The IR filter DOES have a pigment within it, but that is NOT what is being described here. The process you are demonstrating is found in, (ironically), the more expensive sensors seen in Leica, and is the ICF filter. That filter DOES "corrode" because Leica couldn't be bothered to coat the glass and protect it. It is in fact OXIDATION, not a proper corrosion process. But, the point is, glass by itself does not "corrode" under normal conditions. The sensor itself is probably fine, (maybe?), but the IR filter is toast. I think it's hilarious that you Leica fanbois pay 3-4x more than I do as a CANON user, and still have such incredible terrible flaws. Sorry, have to rip on ya'll.
