Do not adjust your speakers, unknowing I recorded this video with the microphone turned off on the camera.
This was shot on Aug 6, 2016 of my cutting a Ball Python clutch. The eggs started to pip on day 64 incubated at 87F. The pairing was a Butter Pastel Pinstripe x Pastel.

I am probably a little biased but I think this is another great pairing. I have always liked the Spider Clown combos and with these 2 I have a great chance at producing the ingredients I need to make my own. The Bumble Bee is also 100% het Orange Ghost so there is a chance for Candy Clowns in the future. Her mom was the offspring of an animal directly from NERD. If you want to follow along and ...

Just a dry run on how I ship reptiles out. I use Reptiles Express almost exclusively. It usually works great on both the buyer and sellers end I have had 100% success rate (KNOCK ON WOOD) using them. I used the RE service when importing boas from the USA a couple years ago and had good results with there as well. If you use a different method or have other tips please share! Here is a project that took a beating in market value this year in Canada. I really like the Lavender Genetic Stripe Combos as well as the Lavender Albinos and Genetic Stripes on their own. I would love both of these girls to go this year but would be happy if one girl went, just praying for one female Lavender Albino het Genetic Stripe. Awesome method!! Thanks for sharing. And beautiful animals! 👍
I’ve had my boa for about 4 months now, she was very defensive when she first arrived, and snapped at me about 8 times while I was trying to get her into her enclosure. After I gave her a few days to adjust to her new enclosure I didn’t ever grab her, I would lightly touch the back of her body and stroke her for a minute or two. She never struck at me when I did this. After a few weeks I would pick up the back of her body just a little bit, and she’d slither away really fast. I let her do that over and over for about a month. After that I finally picked her up fully and she was perfectly content with it, and she doesn’t mind being held at all now. Sometimes I can put my hand in the enclosure near her and she sniffs my hand and after a minute or so she’ll slither over it on her own and I pick her up that way. She’s super well behaved and has never bit me once
I draw a little mouse faces on each one of my fingers and wiggle them as I approach with my hand. They never know which one to eat, so they give up
I hate that people still use aspen as their substrate it’s insane. And such a small dish. Even for a baby boa. Smh. God bless that beautiful boa
Just got my first baby red tail and held her for the first time today using your method! Worked perfectly for the both of us!! So happy i came across your video!
Boa’s like yeah Imma remember that hand when I’m older ho 😂😂😂
Hi have very tame central americans boa
It’s so funny my baby b BI always has an S shape at first but really gentle after but my ball python strike at me twice already lol
I wasn’t expecting such large snakes when you pulled them out. Hope all is well. I’m a non snake owner exploring the world of boas
I’ve had my boa for a week now. Started picking her up after 3 or 4 days. She isn’t aggressive at all but when I have her in my hand she can’t be still, she tries slithering away fast up my arm or away from my hand. Any tips on getting her to calm down? I feel like I may drop her she doesn’t wrap around my hand or fingers
I'm fine with picking up my boy

Hey I grabbed my boa out of the bag but I used overhand open finger I didn’t squeeze her but I can tell you don’t pick a baby boa up like that bc she was upset for the day, I feel terrible that I got her upset. I’ll be doin it like this from now on.
I use a hook for every snake, keeps them happy and ensures I always pick them up from underneath.
Hi I have a baby boa constrictor it hiss and striking and in his hide usually this works and even when I have him in my hands after trying this technique he won’t strike?
I woke up and LITERALLY thought about this the second I woke up
What if your baby boa (mine is a red tail) doesn’t give you a chance to cover his head? Mine is instantly striking as soon as I open his drawer, he doesn’t like people, I’ve tried working with him but I don’t have a chance to grab him or anything before he strikes and bites me
I tap trained mine. Little tap with the hook on their head (barely touching) and they knew it isn’t food. Then I could just grab em.
Thank you, this helped me. I have a baby motley boa (beautiful charcoal and black) he's tame and I had no problem the first few days. Then he just started striking. So again, thank you.
That does seem like a good idea. Yeah... foam is the idea. Not your hand...
We’re can I buy one like this
what's the minimum age to safely handle an adult male boa by yourself?
5 years ago and still the best video to get me though the first years of my red tails!
I have two baby boas. A BCI that is about 4 months and a Sunglow that is about 3 months. The BCI is very chill, I can just grab her in the middle with no problem. The sunglow is very timid and defensive. I am going to try this method with my Sunglow next time I have to take her out of her enclosure! Thank you for the video.
That does in fact NOT work for all species, if fact it's not even recommended. That's a move meant only for ball pythons
Wooooooow, so with spread fingers they really do think your hand is food..... Amazing. It’s so good to understand that about boas....
and I been wanting a red tail Guyana boa and jungle boa
hi my name is Matthew and I been wanting a boa im 15 years old and this is my first boa and and don't have any money and I been wanting a boa since I was in 1 first grade and my 2 dogs died and they both had cancer and I had one dog sines I was a newborn baby my mom sold her car to pay on my dog when he had Parvo and he died at 13 I was 13 when he died and I was put in camp and when I got out I heard the bad news so my mom bought my dog him and me was only a month a part so when we moved to a new house I barred his aches beind my mom back so I did not tell here and now his aches is 4 hours away at the house and we moved and now I hate my self for that his name was socks because his paws was white and now I hate my self for that
Why approach a snake from above??? My opinion is that everything from above is a thread for a snake
You kinda have to when they are in tubs or Sterilites as babies, even my baby green anacondas are unphased by me coming from above. I think it's a bigger issue when the snake is not handled on a regular basis but all my babies are handled often.
My baby boa is super friendly with me. Also, I can say. He isn't head shy at all..
Great video very useful.... looked for about 20 minutes and you had what I was looking for, subscribing for sure!!
Well, when I do the open palm strategy, I have little 11 year old hands and my little girl bites the tips of my fingers and it’s been getting annoying.
use a folded newspaper instead of your hand to cover her head, should work :)
I sure hope thats not its cage
He's a breeder duh
At that age you don't want to go bigger and yes It doesn't make much sense to those who don't keep reptiles ( I used to be one of them ) Too much space doesn't make them feel secure, at this age many will simply stay in their hide box most of the time.
Love the way you are so gentle with them. Very respectful. Thank you. Subscribed.
You have him on pine bedding. That's toxic to snakes ain't it.
James Harris This is probably aspen.
That's aspen
Mine didn't bite much only time she did was when we moved too fast
Can some one tell me about this 100%het Albino halb-m04 breed with sunglow jungle x mottey?
Is it just me or did I want to get bit when I first held it
i have a baby red tail and hes so gentle
Aawwwwww she has a sideways tounge flick i love it
Males taek kucing
Nice
How freindly is your snake
I just had to get mine to get used to me by holding him every day and trust me it’s more scary then painful
For me I’m just worried I’m stressing her out.
Those are some beautiful boas
Are you stupid
If I would do that to my snake she would bit me bc something is coming right at her face
Jazmin Stewart same, i guarantee my baby boa would bite me if i did covered his head lol i just try to grab the middle of his body with his head faced away from me
I wish I'd tried this when I had my royal python as she went aggressive phases, it could've potentially made cleaning the viv a lot easier!
What's a good site to purchase Red tails from
Bc I'm trying to get one so bad
