Hey, Came for the review on the lift (great job) and found your socket setup (0.36 mark). I have been looking for different socket org types for a while and was going to make my own, but yours are exactly what i am looking for. Where did you get those? Thanks man!
Socket org found on Amazon
Wow, that sombitch is huge! I installed a DK Customs
It’s the look I was looking for more chrome and it fills the spot
Thank You, For A Fantastic Video, Bro. Be Safe, And Stay Healthy, Have A Groovy Day.
Very Nice appreciate your time making and sharing your process. Thank you
Impressed the time and effort you put into this. Well done showing us all the modifications you made. The final product is one of the cleanest catch can installs I've seen.
Is there any kind of safety lever to hold the bike up or does all the weight sit on the hydraulic jack?
It has safety stops and I lever.
Oh my God! There is some creative genius that is wonderful , please update me on its working s . Want this and p/n s of fittings and hoses also turbo and pieces. Thank you for sharing. What a pro job
That took nerve! Thanks!
It’s ok if it’s made in China. 95% of the bike is.
I too have the same jack, older model but have some of the same problems. Check out some of my other videos and see how I solved the problems and made the jack even better
I enjoy your upgrades on your jack
I appreciate the video. I’ve watched them all on UA-cam. I’m in the buying mode and I think I’m gonna get a let’s roll.
Hi, awesome looking install, came out phenomenal! Just wondering, did you run the oil line into the "out" port of the oil catch can? And if so, what was the reasoning for it instead of running to the baffled "in" port to help separate the oil? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Yes I did. I reversed engineered the can an believe that the vapor cooling and oil separation is more efficient first going through the large chamber and then up through the small baffle and then filter. It is important to utilize the top port for the filter but the factory in port is to close. I introduce a stain scrubber as a baffle material in the can and it works perfectly. I hope this helps.
Gonna use mine on my 13 Electra glide cvo was bit nervous only used it on sportster so far.
Any sugestions on removing rear tire while on stand?
Strap it down! But I wouldn’t do much wrenching on this lift. It’s great for detailing
excellent video. great looking set up. I simply ran two black hoses down to the road. Amazing how hoses blend in Never ever have to service it and no more oil on the engine and garage floor.
Can you do a three-hole change with that lift or is it in the way
Real tidy job mate, well thought out... Use blue, not red. 😎🇬🇧
So you don't need any tie down straps for this?
I would definitely use straps.
looking for links
Really would like to see an oil change performed on the road king when it's up on this lift. I bought this same Jack and when I had it in the highest position with the Road King on and I could tell it would be too wobbly to do any work on the bike. So seeing tie-down demos with straps to anchor the spike would be very helpful.
nice job
I purchased one of these for my 06 electra-glide. I returned it because it was too large for my bike. That said I must tell you this catch can is very well designed and built. I wish it would have fit.
I used mine because of the cost, but upgraded to a K&L dolly and lift because even tho it says it can lift 1500lbs. It wobbled too much for my comfort to let a $30.000+ motorcycle teeter as it did with the HF Jack
With all the room inside the breather box why not engineer a catch can that installs inside, change it with filter changes/ cleanings
Anxiety is off the hook.
China parts on a Harley.... get outta here with that garbage knee head
I’d be kinda nervous loosening nuts on that thing . Wouldn’t it be a good idea to strap it down to the lift ?
Where you mounted, the catch can, did you drill holes in the tube frame or the plate?
Drilled in the plate. Put something on the other side to protect wiring
Where could I buy the treaded plastic T fitting?
The tee fitting isn’t threaded. Sand it down a little and tap the hole in the other metal fitting. The soft plastic will screw in
one of the best ones I've seen so far. link for parts?
Fine lookin job !
Where are the links to eBay to buy the parts for this job? That would save a lot of time.
You drill holes in your frame? hope not
I've had one of these jacks for many years now older style. Advice I have gotten on them is 1 put a screwdriver through the handle to make lowering more controllable. The 2nd 1 I've made myself a stabilizer that goes on the rear of jack up to the saddle.
Very nice
That's nice. Why do you still have that restrictive paper filter, though?
It’s replaced now
Extra Sketchy!!!!
Good old american ingenuity, great vid lawdawg !
Shouldn't the catch can inlet be lower then the teen the air cleaner? Trying to get this installed on my SG. Great setup in Pt#1 & Pt#2, best one I've seen so far!! Good Job
It is set up running high to low. But the vapors move everything along great. It collects in the catch can as it should. Let me know if you need help.
Fine looking job.
Nice clean install with that is functional and looks like it should have been along. Can you give us an update on how your catch can is working and if you would have made any modifications if you were to build another.
I did a six month review and it was posted five months ago. I had shoulder surgery and haven’t ridden it enough since then to justify another video. I like parts I used in this install but the plastic tee I repurposed from the original cleaner has always bothered me. I would like to use an aluminum tee and I’m going to CNC a bracket to replace the first one I made from scraps that holds the braided line up and off of the transmission. It does an amazing job of trapping and separating the oil from the vapors. I am delayed in videos due to the new workshop going up but more will follow. LawDawg out!
👍 good job like how you think
How is it for doing an oil change. I am thinking the platform is too small. You can't get to all the drain plugs.
I knew a Tim Sheffler in the late 70s in Levittown, PA. We were in the same Boat Scout Troop together.
Not me. I’m actually Tim Shiflett from VA
Impressive!!.... I just ordered one for my Road King.
I bought one of these jacks over 10 years ago when Crafstman sold them. I've had my Harley's on it as well as a friend's. No regrets.
Hell of a lot of locktite
Wow pretty impressive looks like a solid bike lift i will most definitely get this 1.
Good video except for that terrible music during the intro
