That's how they get you! Came down here with my wife for a quick vacation in '95 and now here I am, retired. Many friends hit me up about moving here. I've basically become the 'I know a guy' guy at this point. But if you ever become serious about coming to live here someday I do know a solid realtor who's become a good friend through all this. The town has everything. I love walking on the boardwalk along the sea. It is around 40 minutes away from Lisbon airport so when my daughters come to visit in the summer it is relatively easy to come see me. Couldn't have asked for a better life. But be reminded it is not all sunshine, the country has many problems. The house prices seem to be in a never ending increase for new people coming over and if you're not retired like me, you'd ideally would be paid by overseas, you are not going to be financially stable in Cascais with a Portuguese wage. Also, it helps wonders to learn a little bit of the language so that you fit in better, people are extremely warm when you make an effort. Not so much if you do not.

I want to switch to the X-T5 from the X-T50 mainly to have weather sealing, but I can't get over the fact of how cheap it feels relative to the X-T50.

Bro you went to the EU not to Mogadishu, everything is way easier than in the US. Don't be afraid of travelling, going to unknown places is super stimulating for the photographic "muscle"

Is there a difference in color science between xt3 and xt5? If so, what exactly?

Wont buy the xt5 bc of the downgrade in built quality. The dials should have been high quality as on xt3/4 bc u use them a lot.

Why would you choose 23mm f2 over 27mm f2.8? I love my 27mm to the moon and back so I'm just trying to find out if I'm missing something 😅

Couldn’t have picked a better location than Portugal to test it out! Beautiful work

I came from an XH1 then to an XH2s earlier this year. The XH2s was a great camera, but there was a little part of me that could not “feel” the camera. 2 months ago I switched to the XT5 and immediately fell in love with it. I found myself shooting more with it and for some reasons, more creative. Also the IBIS of this camera is insane. I did a few video clips for a social media influencer and was following her around with this camera and the 16-55 2.8 lens. The IBIS was really good. From experience, it is even better than what I had with the XH2s. Also the AFC tracking is really amazing. I’d probably use this camera for the next 3-5 years.
