Thanks for watching!
The test drive part of this video is priceless, good work my Friend keeping the old classics on the road...
@@johanvanwyk9780 thanks!
A labor of love. The fresh paint and portholes give it a whole new look. I’m not a boat guy but I think yours is going to turn out great. Glad to see your Econoline in the video. Keep hydrated
Thanks! It’s getting there, one step at a time.
I have 67 extend Heavy Duty Econoline I want to install a 302 . whick torque convertor did you use .
Stock C4 that was already on the big 6.
Thanks @@bohemianmachine
Excellent! Packed with details and very clear video. Looks like my restomod 66 Ranchero will be getting an upgrade!
Thanks! I love the 66 Ranchero!!
6:40 if you have a bench you have to clean it off every time before use.
I know I should!
Haha, love the pop corn I'm a 60 yo who just got me one and like youalways wanted to have a 302 in it.ty for showing it can be done wit out breaking the bank.
Very insightful video. Looking into those eps in order to build a boat eps/autopilot
Hey, that’s a really great idea!! Thanks for watching!
I want to thank you for sharing the part numbers and your finished mirrors. I installed the same ones using your info on my 1967 Ford Falcon van I tried to post a link with a photo but it looks like it was taken off. Thanks again!
search flickr streetcabrad to see a pic
Glad to help out, that's what this channel is all about! I saw your pictures posted on the facebook group and went, “Hey, that’s just like my mirrors.” Lol!
Love you guys ❤
Great use of the tools most of us have but didn't know it!!!
Right on, thanks for watching!
10:42 LOL🍿
Watched your video seen that sick dash mount shifter ever think about doing a video on that would be great
I will go back over that when I install the AOD.
Awesome video! I recently purchased a '63 Econoline 3 window pickup. It already had a 350ci Chevy V8, Edelbrock Carb, 3 speed automatic, front disc brakes. It was missing a tailgate, but I found one in New Hampshire that I'll have perfected.
Thanks for watching!
Very good vid. Two things: did you upgrade from 6 to 12 volts and, why not a 283?
Thanks! Ford went to 12 volts starting in 1956. Do you mean 289? 283 was Chevy. Went 302 for the roller cam.
Exelent, congratulations
Thanks!!
😍😍😍😍
What a surprise baby 🙂🙂LOL ..... I still love you 🙂🙂! Yes, I am not really crazy about surprises, BUT I am all about adventures, and I can't wait to have crazy adventures with our new treasure!!!! Yes, I am a minimalist (10 years ago I moved to the US with only 2 suitcases!), and NOW we are talking about Scott's "tools" LOL: the Life Boat (the "Bohemian Machine"), our antique House Boat, a combo cruiser (the "Limabean"), a Pontoon boat (his work boat), another special antique boat (in storage) which we picked up in Michigan 🙂🙂LOL. Then we have an antique Subaru (self made convertible), the antique FORD Falcon van, and finally my Subaru (our "family car") 🙂🙂IT MUST BE LOVE 🙂!!!!
Dude. Where do you live?? And that boat is wicked!!!
Thanks! Cape Coral, Florida.
I have a 65 ford falcon van that has a 240 six cylinder I'm it
These are installed upside down.
Yeah, traditionally the small mirror is put on the bottom. I think they look better my way!
@@bohemianmachine HAH! Yeah sometimes I put my socks on the wrong feet. I just bought a 66 Econoline falcon club wagon with a turtle shell topper. I am looking into disk brakes and side pipes! Keep doing what you are doing.
Oh, hell yeah. This is a really helpful video. I bought some big surplus MRAP mirrors for my '62 and they have the same 'not plumb' issue. Have been trying to figure out the best way to modify and mount them without losing the fold-back feature. Thank you very much for the great ideas and part numbers!
Glad I could help!
Your awesome be safe out there 😎👍
Thanks, Bud!!
@@bohemianmachine your welcome no problem
I had a dodge van like that with a v8 in it.i love it
I gotta get one of those handy trailer/mobile multi purpose tools. Creative engineering at its best. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! It’s about to become an axle bearing press.
Do you have a 4 row radiator cause im having trouble with my 302 on my econoline over heating i have a 3 row radiator just like your plus i have a mechanical fan
I have the Champion 4 core which does NOT flow enough. I added an ATV radiator in the heater circuit that keeps it under control. Champion is now making the 240 style tall Econoline radiator but I don’t know anyone who has tried it yet with a V8.
@@bohemianmachine thank you for that idea ! 👍🏻
I like the solid construction and the very sleek hinge on the access cover! Great job improvising as well.
Thanks, appreciate that!

Se ve mejor con el Ford 200 en linea 😎
mglb! i see no e-brk handle there..i need to find-make-alter one for mine, how is yours set up. i have what seems to be a homemade pull handle that doesnt STAY up ( no viagra jokes please ) appreciate any info, thanks, M
Yeah, they all just pull straight up, not much leverage. I don't really use mine because I have an automatic, but do have a lever type handle from a forklift I want to install.
@@bohemianmachine ive since found it WILL stay up, just kinda fussy to do it - i too have an auto. tr., but its passing INSPECTION that makes it important , M
Great video, thanks for taking us through all of the steps. Cool Econoline Van to. 🙂
Appreciate that, thanks for watching!
How can I contact you? I also own a 66 Econo line I live in PA and now I’m in Florida visiting family.
Hey Bart, what part of Florida?
We are in Placida and will be heading south.
I sent pictures of the van in messenger
My old 68 Chevy had a louver panel under the front and without that I had to run without a thermostat
Ladder was great idea also
Enjoy that burrito brother! One hand steering for the win
Thanks, I do!
Made my day, i too have a sweet 16 and i agree its a special boat and omc was a special outfit
Just subscribed Scott ,dig your van and your ingenuity. Keep up the good work👍
Hey, thanks so much!
Great video, thanks! What's your ebay account info? Would like to buy a simple prius set up for my '71 Dodge Demon, straight shaft, no tilt.
Hey, thanks for the compliment! I’m all out of Prius units but have one from a Nissan that works just the same. I’ll have to get it from storage and take some pics.
Here’s the link: www.ebay.com/itm/204683770492?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=736O4tFURSW&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=736O4tFURSW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY This is actually a heavier duty unit than the Prius.

Great video, I plan on putting one in my Epup. I was wondering if you did a video on putting the shifter on the dash ? Thanks
No, I was kind of in a rush when I did that. I may do a recap on that when I install the A4OD I’m putting together. Thanks for watching!
This was fire guy actually knows timing tuning.
Lol, some things you never forget.
Great video Is the Yaris one still for sale?
Yes. I picked that up for a friend who wanted to retain his column shifter but has since decided to sell his van.
Interesting video! Good job. Do you think the Prius ps could handle a 4-wheel drive truck? I'm thinking of converting a Ford F250 manual steering to this kind of set up.
Hey, thanks! The Prius, with all its batteries, is a pretty heavy car. I’m sure it could handle it. There is a UA-cam video of a guy putting one in a 60s F150 but don’t know if it was 4x4.
My lord I had a 61 econoline truck and it had a 6 cylinder and I found it down right dangerous and this guy has a 8 cylinder man that’s going to fly…
I noticed that is a Torker intake. I ran my old 302 out to 8500 rpm with one, long duration cam and a 750 Double Pumper. Not my first choice for this application, but hey still fun. Good video!
That was literally the only decent intake I could find locally in the week I had to drop the motor in. Going to fuel injection soon but it served its purpose to get me up and running. I’m really pretty amazed how much torque it does have because I had a Weiand Xcelerator back in the day that was the same design basically and had no low end torque. Thanks for watching!
Being a single plane intake it will probably do fine with a throttle body FI setup. Have at it!! @@bohemianmachine
@@413x398No, going with Ford MPI and GT40p heads.
Whichever, as long as it will pull the wheels! 😄@@bohemianmachine
That was weird. With your helmet on I saw the wrinkles on your forehead from the back side 😂
Awesome
Thank you!
Cool video. Don’t be hating on Prius’s 😆 we have 6. I’ve wanted to do this on my van. Thanks for making a video
Hey, thanks for watching! Not hating, my dad owned them since they first came out. Just seems like one is always going slow in front of me, lol.
Very nice. Double D lol. Yes, I'm eight.
