Those who know my sister and I know we’re very close. As close as we are, however, I had no idea she was being physically abused while in a relationship with her ex. After about two years, she agreed to share her story, in hopes that it will touch someone and even save a life.

Any tips for the unraveling 2 months in already my Retwist don’t last
@@joannamelanie oh wow! When I first got started, the ends of my two strands would unraveling on a few. I’d just retwist them. If the entire loc is unraveling, I’m not sure 🤔. You can try mixing lemon and lime juice in a spray bottle, and spraying your locs about once a week. That helps them loc and may help stop them from unraveling. Also make sure you’re either tying it up or wearing a bonnet at night.
@@AliyahCherie yes I wear a stain scarf I did retwist today took pics documenting my journey on ig but yea I might try the lemon juice idea does it help with scalp itching too my hair smells like hair doesn’t really have a an odor but it does itch
@@joannamelanie I use the lemon and lime juice mainly on my locs, and try to avoid my scalp. For my scalp, I use an oil my loctician sells. I’m not sure what’s in it, but there are other oils specifically for locs at the hair store. You can also maybe try tea tree oil, jojoba oil, etc.!
