Rhode island red pullets laying eggs. They are roughly eight months old and lay an egg a day. Even in the winter months they are producing fresh eggs daily daily.

Our thirty chickens three ducks and one grumpy guard chicken enjoying their breakfast. The food is store bought organic layer pellets that includes calcium to help with egg production. We allow them to free range on half an acre from sun up to sun down for a large part of their diet. If you have any questions or advice please leave a comment in the comment box.

San Diego kayak fishing (Bay Bass)

I launched my kayak out of Mission Bay San Diego (for the first time) to target some bay bass. I was using 6 Lb test with a 1/4 oz jig head and a three inch gulp shrimp. For my first time I did well. Please leave any tips for bay bass or halibuts bellow. Thanks!

Excellent choice of lures-gulp always works wonders-but I've found that unpainted round and darter jig heads work even better than painted ones. 6lb test is just a bit light, in case of a big calico bass or halibut I err on the side of caution with 8 or 10lb. Also, bass and halibut feed best during a strong tidal movement, incoming or outgoing. Good luck out there!
