Hello, Just wanted to let you know how Passacaglia is pronounced. It is Italian. You are saying Pasa "cag" lia. The g is silent. It is sounds like Pasa Callia.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for the tutorial. You broke it down so that is easy to comprehend. I never would have guessed it was such an easy piece of music. Watching your fingering was a real plus; for a man, my hands are very small, so the watching the fingering is a big help. A few years ago, I quit playing, so maybe it is time to pick it up again. I know I have heard this somewhere before, but this piece REALLY pulls at my soul! Thank you again!

I'm 69 and and will start to look out for this sheet music, as I love this piece of music. I took piano lessons for one year then gave it up at 12. I started again at 62 and have a lovely Roland HP704 in my front bedroom. Love practicing every day, for at least 2 hours. My problem is after leaving my guitar to one side due to left hand thumb problems , I can't just practice one tune as I find it boring. Also as you get older your co-ordination gets slower, albeit I keep trying and love it. Only see my tutor once every few months. But music is my life far from playing my guitar with my mates to House of the Rising Sun!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣😍😍

Back when I 15yo I had a daydream about Morro Bay Then in 2015 I wrote the rest of the poem and submitted it in a poetry contest I didn't win , but always chased it Then on May 11th 2022 my wife passed away (30 days after that I had a stroke which prevented me from playing guitar) So I got an electric piano. Didn't know what to play but again and again I was drawn to something just out reach I came across the passacaglia being played at a much slower tempo (Here's the poem) As I lie in the grass of the rolling hills high Clouds dance around stars in a waltz for the sky Waves crash into land. and as the sands drift away. the wind sings a song as wait's for the day And the moon with its crescent , and gaping white yawn alerts one and all to the coming of dawn Ray's of light from the sun silhouette a Sandbar dimly at first but soon outshine the Stars Basking in the warmth go the crabs and the gulls As sandpipers and egrets take position near the shore From the shore to beyond and in a gently swaying motion Lies the king of the world The Deep Blue Ocean Gary John Schraa (For Ria)
