This sounds so happy.

Most series seemed to pop out a dark Sci-Fi episode.The Avengers had The Maneater of Surrey Green,The Saint had The House on Dragon Rock.

Takes me back to autumn 1975 and those Thursday evenings on ITV.

Epic theme for an epic show.

The second series is a classic example of something that wasn't broken being fixed.

I used to race home from my busboy job as a kid to watch this on Sunday nights

I really liked the unisex uniforms of Space 1999. A lot of people don't like them because they weren't very flattering, but in an era where your typical female officer was wearing a miniskirt or a low cut top, I thought that these looked both professional and suitably futuristic.

Wrong season 2 was much better-indeed 😊

My favourite sci fi show as a child ,I was twelve when it came out .Loved the theme music ,the storylines ,and a wonderful cast . Would love to go back to the seventies .

My little brother and I were so into this show in the 70s. This, star trek and thunderbirds

The orchestral build up at the end of this track is truly astounding !!! - it is full of atmospheric power and intensity that just sends you soaring high !!! A masterpiece.

Great opening theme and titles. Series was seriously underrated, would probably have got more viewers if the ITV schedulers had given the programme a network showing instead of leaving it up to the regions when and where they wanted to show it, and that goes for a lot of material too, Gerry Anderson's Secret Service is a good case in point!

That thumping sound gives it that distinct disco sound that does not age well. I wonder how this fantastic theme music would sound if that thumping sound is replaced with something else?

Believe me in the dark days of the 1970s this theme meant a lot!

It's great. Then we got the twangy pop of Year Two. Ugh.

Liked the music to the series from 1976 - 1977, better. But, still, good.

Loved this show as a young boy. I still look at staple guns as phasers to initially be set to stun. Martin Landau will always be Commander Koenig.

There is a version of this that is on some copies of A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH season one that has a different theme.
